Sandalford Wines reviews
95 The meals here aren't particularly small but they aren't a big either. I'm only saying that because my 70 year old mother commented "You don't get much". This is my second time at Sandalford Estate and the meals being small had never crossed my mind and no one else at table though they were small.
It's very much about the taste here. Everyone commented how good their dinner was. There were 6 of us (one child) and we all said how good our dinner tasted.
The presentation is also exceptional. It was my mum's birthday and she was presented with a special small piece of cake and happy birthday scrolled on the bottom of the plate in chocolate.
Very nice place and we will be back.
Visited briefly for a wine tasting, very nice place, most of the staff were well informed. Tried some of the entry level range and more aged-pricier range, all wines were ok but no stand outs. But were they reasonably priced, no, unless you bought them by the carton. Honestly id rather by some Coonawarra reds for the same price, the aged wines were expensive and still very young/green on the palate, shame really. They were asking $100 for premium wines, id buy a penfolds for that price.
Visited recently the restaurant, great food, well presented and executed, drunk with whites which we all agreed were ok.
JMHO i feel they make a better restaurant than premium WA winery, which need further refinement
This is one of the best restaurants I have been in Perth. I came here to celebrate my birthday with partner. Food didn’t take too long and what a delicious stake I had! Next time I will definitely order sides with the mains as portion sizes might not be filling enough but I wasn’t so hungry so it was okay.
The Sandalford Estate is a fabulous place to visit. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a dinner there, and the restaurant was fabulous. The food was sensational, the wine selection was wonderful, and the staff were very efficient and attentive. The whole experience was lovely, and I’d encourage anyone to go there for a meal, or just to go and buy some wine from the cellar door sales room. Very impressive.
Five stars from me.
Had lunch with my family for a special Anniversary. It was a perfect day. The wait staff were first class especially Rebecca who attended our table.
Our meals were amazing and we couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience. Thanks everyone for making it a very special day.
Wedding celebration and dinner at Sandford Wines. Beaitiful ceremony, exquisite view, lovely food and excellent service.
I went to take a look at this possible wedding venue on Sunday and i was impressed. The place is stunning and the customer service is 5 stars for sure. I was wanting to book for the estate room but it has been booked for my date. Sadly, i will not be getting married in this beautiful place: (However i still want to give a good review because Amy is amazing! She has been patience through out and give me lots of tips and tricks for my wedding. Her customer service was impressive! I do hope i can hold an event at this place in the future. But just a tip for everyone out there. DO BOOK EARLY! This place gets booked fast for a reason.
I booked a table online last week and today we drove for nearly an hour to get to the restaurant and find out it’s closed. It’s obviously your responsibility to make sure that you update you’re booking system when you’re closed. I’m extremely disappointed because we were really looking forward to having lunch out today and now we’re far from home, hungry and stressed. Thanks a lot.
Positives include nice grounds, very spacious, nice building, friendly staff, fast drinks service and tasty quality food.
Negatives are meal prices are way over the top and serving quantity sizes are tiny.
Yeah look, great wine. Really enjoyed their estate and reserved variety. However the tasting bar vs popularity equals to not much room at all when trying to taste which lessens the experience as you feel rushed. Do recommend a visit though, arrive at around 11: 30 to avoid most of the crowds!
I have the pleasure of photographing weddings at Sandalford. It has beautiful grounds, and the indoor reception areas are some of the nicest I've seen. The staff are friend and attentive, and overall it is just a pleasure every time I've been there.

Beautiful grounds, colonial style buildings and very popular restaurant! My clients loved the food. Lovely old grapevines planted in the 1890’s makes for a lovely place to sit and relax. - Perth VIP Transfers
Great wines and service - staff speak English, Japanese, mandarin and very accommodating- been to the restaurant 12 months ago and it was beautiful food.
Good restaurant with delicious foods and great view. We ordered steak, duck confit, and pork belly. They were tasty and the portion was reasonable.
Nice winery, very commercial. Range from $5-$10 for tasting. We're told we could try any 2 for free but every one we asked they said oh apart from that one nice staff and nice wine.
Beautiful setting, fine dinning with a very friendly relaxed atmosphere.
Was very surprised with how quick the food came and the quality was amazing. Would highly recommend.
Had my birthday lunch here on the last week of Autumn, and it was indeed a great experience for me and my family being served by friendly staffs, scrumptuous food (i odered for barramundi and i love it!) and cosy environment. Outdoor dining is perfect for family with kids and i bet coming here during Autumn is just so special as the leaves has turned into red and brown. So beautiful! Definitely will reccomend this place to my family and friends!
Great venue for wine tasting, beautiful grounds, friendly staff BUT rather average wines. In my humbled opinion the Sauvignon Blanc was kind of flat, Chardonnay a bit too sour although still the best of the bunch, the Rose too sweet, the Cabernet Merlot dry as bones, the Shiraz lifeless, and Sandalford Sweet Red resembled sugar water.
One of the biggest and classic wine cellars in Swan Valley. The staff at the cellar is very friendly and you can taste many kinds of the wine. The restaurant is beautiful and deck confit is the specialty.
Great place to come to have a taste of the wine produced in Australia. The wine tasting session is conducted professionally and they are generous with their offerings too.
They have a restaurant on the premises which you can eat youe meal and match it with the wine you liked.
I understand they even have event on their sites frequently. Please call them for more details.
All and all a good place to be for a tourist. Even locals.
Cheers!
