Sandalford Wines reviews
95 I held a 70th birthday lunch on 7th Nov 2021 at this venue.
From first contact with Zoe to enquire about a booking, to the final champagne before heading off ; the staff were exemplary, helpful and pleasant to deal with.
The knowledgeable and friendly Tasting Room staff - (Stephen helped us in wine tasting and purchasing) - and then our lovely hostess who took orders and served our food and beverages courteously and respectfully.
The food was absolutely delicious, course choices were seved in an orderly manner, all were well received by my diners and served proffessionally by Sandalford staff.
At Zoe's suggestion i booked The vintage Room, and it couldn't have been better.
Overlooking the lawns and play area, this room was the perfect choice for my small party of 25.
The recently revamped Sandalford Winery is picture perfect, and - in my opinion - with such helpful and courteous staff ; cant miss being a popular destination of choice for a meal with friends.
I overheard many of my friends remarking that they would be happy to return and recommend Sandalford Winery
Thankyou Zoe and all staff for helping the day to go so smoothly and ensuring it was a happy experience for us all.
Merry Xmas to everyone
x Sandy
PS
Thanks to Chef for the very cute Happy Birthday plate
to match the recently revamped dining
Incredible host experience, gorgeous people on staff to help with all requests including a group photo! Delicious wines and food couldn't be faulted!
I feel like I review Sandalford every time I go. Is this how the app is supposed to work?
Regardless, we go here regularly because we feel it is the best option in the valley. We try all the other options, but we keep coming back for the style, the quality and the service.
Not cheap, but then again we're worth it.
Beautiful setting and very good service. The food quality and presentation was excellent and well priced.
Had a lovely day at Sandalford Wines as part of our Swan Valley staycation.
Wine blending course pre lunch was fun and Daniel was a delightful teacher and company.
After blending we had a lovely 3 course lunch, with Lee and his capable staff looking after us. We then bought more wines, had a nap in the car park In a borrowed camper van.
Beautiful grounds

Mt friend had a booking for her birthday for 10 people to come have a few drinks and nibble food. We then had 3 more people who decided to join us and when we told them that we were expecting 3 more they decided to charge 85 per head because there were more then 10.
No option but to pay 85 and get 3 course meal eveb though we just wanted to come relax drink and have some finger food. So we then cancelled and were charged 200. That's disgusting.
Beautiful setting and good food and service. My companion found the background music too loud but I didn't really notice it
Attended a wedding and it’s has been the best experience due to the staff and the awesome guys
One of the best experience I've ever had. Just incredible restaurant, amazing service, delicious food, beautiful view and decoration. I totally recommend it
Everything was great. Service, wine, interesting food well cooked and presented and smart decor.
The serves were surprisingly small, especially for the price, but overall the value was in the entire experience not just what was on the plate. I would return anytime I wanted a relaxed atmosphere with a high level of comfort and pleasure.
Jon and I never really considered Sandalford one of our top contenders for getting married, but once we went there on a whim on an open day, we knew that this was the place. We got married in the Estate Room, which was beyond beautiful. At the beginning, there was a bit of a tricky transition period between wedding coordinators, but once we met with Ella, she was an absolute lifesaver. Never would I have thought that we would have someone from a venue that was so on our side, and trying to help us out where she could. Ella went above and beyond and indulged every request. While she did not know much about our wedding after the handover, she caught up to speed and even worked things out better for us. The amount of guests that we had commending us on our choice of venue was amazing. Not one person had anything negative to say about the food or service. We were a little underwhelmed at our tasting event, back in February, but last weekend we were in absolute awe. The food was beautiful! Presentation and taste. The staff were so attentive, with special mention to Zach and Simon, and all with a great sense of humour too. We would get married at Sandalford again in a heartbeat. We adore Ella and are both so, so grateful to her for ensuring that our day was perfect. Thank you, Ella, Zach, Simon and Sandalford!
Hadn’t been to Sandalford for lunch in probably 6 or 8 years and the changes and upgrades are excellent! Highly recommended. The food and service and venue are great.
Had a really delicious lunch for two. Every mouthful was amazing. The setting is gorgeous, our waiter, Brett was fantastic & really made our visit even more enjoyable. Certainly a treat for us but would come back again for special occasions, as it really was worth it.plus it's on our doorstep, so no excuse not to support local business.
Went for a family birthday dinner on Saturday night. The venue is excellent and have to say the wood fired pizzas were wonderful. All was good until the mains came out. 3 of the mains were reasonable but 4 of us ordered the tiger prawn pasta at $44 a plate. What came out was essentially 3 tiger prawns in a herb salad with a teaspoon of pasta. Was very disappointed.
First time at Sandalford for lunch.will def be back! Fantastic setting furthered by some of the best food I have tasted for sometime. Too many great dishes to list.well worth a visit.
Wonderful place and brilliant restaurant. The Wagu beef is to die for. The recent renovations have enhanced the settings even more. If you want quality this is the place to be.
We went for lunch and were greeted by a 15 minute wait to even get to the counter to confirm our reservation. While our order was taken quickly we waited over 1 hour for food to arrive, which only arrived once we prompted our server to enquire about our food. She seemingly avoided eye-contact whenever we tried catching our attention and the only prompt service we received was once the bill had been requested.
Such a shame the service was so appalling and unprofessional as the food was really good and the ambience was nice. Really ruined the entire experience for us and we will not be coming back ever again.
We had a 3 course set menu lunch for 13 people, the menu selection was excellent, and the food was absolutely amazing, 5 star plus plus, as was the service, cannot wait to revisit this beautiful winery.thank you Sandalford Sue M
Had a birthday celebration at Sandalford. Was very impressed. Food was very good and the service was excellent. From the person on the phone, who was so pleasant and helpful to the person behind the cash register. Great customer service.
We came for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant is really nicely appointed, with a beautiful outlook. Unfortunately, after being seated we waited 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order (drinks and food!) Thankfully we had some water at least! When we did eventually get our drinks, we were given the wrong rose to the one we ordered.
We had the octopus entree (which was very tasty but very expensive for one tentacle at $31) a funghi pizza (yum!) and duck pasta (also delicious but a smaller-than-expected servicing size.)
I’ll go back because I think we just had bad luck, but it was a bit of a disappointing first impression.
