Sandalford Wines reviews
95We had 5 wine tastings with Carissa she was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions, great staff member
Was about to score 1 star as the first lady we engaged behind the tasting bar doesn’t understand how wine tasting works. She might have been in contact with groups who came to swallow whatever is poured into the glass. Luckily we met a lovely lady called Jane who handled the situation very professionally and ended up having a good experience and also end up buying a fair bit from the cellar. Just a friendly advice for the first lady we met before Jane.keep a positive attitude and it will take one a long way in Life.
Beautiful winery with fantastic wine tasting. Chiara was amazing at explaining all the wines and organising shipping across Australia!
Went to the winery for a work event / lunch and it was a fantastic experience. The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive. The grounds are beautiful and event the smokers area is gorgeous with cushions under beautiful trees.
As cellar members for many many years, it once was our favourite winery in the valley. Beautiful European style building, modern but rustic, nice food, nice wines.
Then something changed. Maybe they spent too much money in the renovations (not needed) a few years back.
Whatever the reason they now charge 10 dollars for only 5 wines tasting. Non even 10 for 10, but 2 dollars per tasting.
Who does that?
And the portions were so small we couldn't even taste the wine.
Embarrassing.
First visit yesterday went with 2 other friends. Food delicious, venu & su beautifully. Yu Mi the young lady that served our table was a joy. She suggested food, Her sense of humour & happiness at being there completed our experience. She is an asset to Sanalford.
Excellent service and staff. We are on a wine cruise. Absolutely fantastic. Best choice made.
The property is very beautiful. We had lunch there, the food is quite expensive and not very tasty, not worth the money.
The information we got about the wines was not accurate. We ordered a Shiraz and were told it was from the property however we discovered that the fruit are from Margaret river. Also the staff from the tasting/sales counter was not very friendly and did not not pay much attention to our questions. Overall disappointing
Attended a wedding in Feb, food very average - plastic in meal, poor service had to find staff to ask for water, very poor communication from sandalford to the wedding party, venue standards are not worth the cost of 200+ per guest, toilets not clean, very disappointing would NOT recommend.
Got married here in 2007 and thought I'd come here for a Valentine's dinner with my wife. Had an amazing reception in 07 I will let you all know how tonight's dinner will go!
Lovely setting for a fun experience. Jamie the Somm/pourer was a joy and added a fun element to the wine tasting experience. Although the winery was busy the staff made a concerted effort to provide a fantastic personal touch. Highly recommend a visit.
First time having dinner at Sandalford for Valentine’s day. Beautiful food and exceptional service from a particular waiter, Brett.
We had a wonderful celebratory lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed the Estate Culinary Journey and would highly recommend.
We started our day trip to the Swan Valley here. This was a mistake as we were looking for a tasting, and no one in the venue approached us or made eye contact.
We ended up walking out after feeling invisible.
The grounds were beautiful, but I can't tell you anything about the wines.
Luckily the service of every other place we went to in the Valley was first class.
Sandalford Wines has been an amazing experience everytime. We stopped by for lunch and I ordered the Campanelle pasta. The Italian pork sausage was by far one of the best I've ever had. The lamb rack, snapper fish, king prawns and other dishes all went down spectacularly.
Spectacular views (including the 100+ year old vines), amazing service made it a memorable experience. Highly recommended!
Saturday night dinner for 4 - fabulous experience! The venue itself, ambience, background music and the acoustics all perfect. The staff were absolutely professional, informed and attentive. We had every starter on the menu and I couldn’t pick which was best, the octopus, which I’d never tried before, was beautiful. The mains just as good. Finished off with the Shiraz and the reserve SBS.ooops! And then the port. We had the most wonderful night and I would thoroughly recommend for a special dining experience you will remember and wish to repeat. Thank you Sandalford
Great food. Beautiful flavours and very well presented. Such a nice experience and staff are extremely friendly. You also get a free wine tasting with your meal. Highly recommend.

My first time visiting sandleford winery yesterday. What a beautiful place. It was very busy but I had such a lovely, friendly lady called Meg helping me with my tastings and explaining the wines very well and will definitely be coming back. The staff were all doing such a fantastic job keeping everyone happy with it being extremely busy in cellar door.
Nice and spacious, food is good, not bad for the price, i wont lie though alot of the wait staff look like kids which is kinda weird imo
