Ridge Ascot Medical Centre

My husband and I visited the Ridge Ascot medical centre for the first time and were very impressed by the service. Our appointments were on time and we weren’t kept waiting. The doctors and the staff were very friendly and we will definitely be going back. Thankyou!

My appointment with Dr. Manga Akella went great. She's very empathetic and kind. Even though we booked a short appointment she made sure to listen to all my problems and doubts unlike some commercial clinics. I am definitely making her as our family gp and would suggest her to my friends and family in Perth.

Always a friendly surgery. Runs very smoothly. Today the nurse re dressed a foot injury. Both the nurse and Dr showed interest and I left feeling confident that my injury was headed towards healing

Fabulous that I was able to get a booking on New Years Eve. Lovely friendly courteous staff who greeted me at the waiting room. Very nice Doctor who was knowledgeable and very helpful.

The doctors, nurses and receptionist here went above and beyond today for me. I cannot thank them enough.

I have been coming here since my accident in August and always got appointment straight away, front staff are absolutely lovely and feel very welcomed.

Dr. Rajesh Basin is great and takes time to listen to the patient and explains everything detailed.

However I have had a bad experience with Dr. Akella once who rushed me through my results, left important details out and smiled it away. I have felt not taken serious at all and left with tears in my eyes which ruined my day for a bit.

If all of the other staff wouldn't have been nice, I wouldn't have come back.

I’m glad I discovered this practice! It’s bulkbilling, all procedures are relatively cheap! Raj Bhasin and Nooshin Rasool are some of the best doctors I’ve encountered and actually take the time to listen and understand what is going on! I highly recommend Nooshin for anything women’s health, she is so educated and lovely, just what you need when dealing with this stuff!

Great place to go, easy to get to, plenty of parking, can usually get an appointment the same day, staff are lovely and the doctors seem to know their stuff, and best of all they bulk bill.

Caring and knowledgeable team of doctors. Short waiting times. Highly recommend the practice and they bulk bill - great plus!

I am a Youth Worker and assisted one of my young people yesterday (22/11/19) to see Dr. Akella.

We were advised we were unable to discuss getting a Mental Health Care Plan as the appointment selected was a General Consultation and in order for a Care Plan to be discussed, it would need a longer appointment time which I understood and agreed to reschedule the following week.

We also wanted to ask for a prescription for another health concern, however during the consultation, Dr. Akella answered a personal phone call on her mobile phone which last for 5 minutes. Dr. Akella left the room and returned still on the phone. When the conversation ended, Dr. Akella apologised as she thought the call would of only been for 1 minute.

In my visits to various general practitioners and medical centres, I have never experienced such unprofessionalism. Since when is it acceptable for doctors to take personal calls when seeing patients? I understand if it were an emergency but it was about an upcoming surgery. The irony of it was Dr. Akella mentioned the time restraints of not being able to do a Mental Health Care Plan, yet still cut into patient consultation time to answer a call unrelated to patient care.

I have written a complaint at the practice after the appointment and placed it in the feedback box. If it wasn’t for me working at the time and my client asking me not to discuss this with Dr. Akella in front of her, I would’ve done so very directly.

Based on this experience, I don’t recommend coming here, it is a poor first impression for me.

The receptionist was fantastic however!

In today's Australia, this surgery is one of the best I have attended. The staff are very pleasant, helpful and informed, and there is a range of doctors to see for all types of medical issues and information. They are up to date, informed and helpful while being respectful and kind. I would recommend them to anyone. Easy to find, parking off-road and even online booking. Can't ask for much better than that. A really good choice.: o)

Absolutely beautiful staff who really care about you. I have told my mum to start coming here, both of us switching over from Belmont City Medical where it’s rushed and they haven’t got much time for you. The Doctors and Nurses will make your stay feel very special and personalised. Highly recommend this clinic.

Have had nothing but excellent treatment from all the medical and Addmin staff at this medical centre even the doctors and nurses at RPH Confirmed there treatment of my recent condition as way above the norm from a surgery I am very greatful to them all

I saw Dr. Akella for an IUD insertion. She was judgemental, rough, rude and extremely unprofessional. I would definitely not recommend this doctor- my worst ever experience.

Tracey was awful, quite rude & abrupt, as well as a painful technique. I've never, ever continued to bleed after having bloods taken but I did this time in both arms just trying get one vial of blood. I'd been there the previous week with a different technician & had 5 vials of blood drawn with no issue or pain. It's close to work but I'll drive further & go elsewhere from now on to avoid getting Tracey ever again.
