RAC Margaret River Nature Park reviews
60Great family camp site with everything from byo tent to cabins. The new eco tents are sensational
Great setting.
The glamping tents are a bit cosy close together so can hear everyones lives while enjoying your own. Still nice to stay if you have respectful neighbours.
Good amenities throughout bit muddy if the weather is bad however.
Management/owner couple are really nice as well. Good vibes
When we arrived at the park we were thinking how serene it will be just the bush and camp fire then a big bus of school kids arrived who were well behaved and supervised but the next day a big group of families arrived and the kids were out of control with no supervision riding their bikes through people's sites in the dark my mates wife was almost cleaned up by 4 kids on bikes while walking to her caravan door parents were just oblivious to what their kids were up to or just didn't care. No park management around to stop kids riding around in the dark. So if you happen to stay there stay well away from playground and camp kitchen. Park itself was in a nice bush setting and clean and tidy amenities
Awesome place, well maintained, clean facilities and very large campsites. The park is pretty big and has lots of room and common area including fire pits. It's a perfect place for a family with young kids.
Highly recommended facilities, wonderful cabin, beautiful bush, excellent bloke comes service cabins true blue awesome helpful b like highly professional
Great value, staff more than helpful offering to light fire pit where we parked up. Friendly people. Greeted with open arms.
Have stayed here for many years with several friends in the largest cabin being the Lodge. We were advised last year this was due to be renovated but due to COVID this was put back. All other smaller cabins are lovely and renovated. New safari tents are up and travel is more popular than ever in WA due to everyone holidaying at home. Yet we have come back again to find the most expensive cabin in this park still not renovated. It furnished with mis matched second hand old furniture, old, kitchen has very little items to use no chopping knives, not enough cutlery for the amount of people it can hold. Chipped cups, outdated moldy showers, mold smell in the old kitchen, no bin bags for a 4 day stay. Not managements fault they are friendly and are obviously bound by funds from the RAC to do these upgrades. Come on RAC you would be making a fortune off travel in WA and it’s time to upgrade your most expensive accommodation at this park to be like all the ones you have already done. For us we will be looking for somewhere else to stay for over $1300.00 that is upkept and well presented to be worth that sort of money. Disappointing as we have seen the work to the other RAC parks across WA and this one seems to be a last resort for the biggest cabin RAC charges the most money for.
Love it, excellent place to rest, nice facilities, It's a little bit messy, and the tents have holes, but in general a very nice place to go, rest and enjoy.
Camping in the bush at its best. Great biking trails and walking distance to Margaret River town. Highly recommended!
Great location - hidden in the bush. However, compared to other RAC parks and the extra $$, needing improvements and much better maintenance
Very excellent place.great location with wonderful facilities. The mountain bike trails all around are excellent offering everyone a fun time no matter the skill level.walking tracks also wind around the place for nice leisurely strolls through the serene forest. The cabins and tents for hire provide excellent accommodation. Lots of bedding and facilities would definitely recommend.coming back ;)
Awesome location within walking distance to town. Good clean facilities with a huge camp kitchen and eating hall. Very family friendly and no pets! Mountain bike central. Many walk trails as well.
I have stayed here at the campsite many times now and I have to say that I've had a positive experience every time I have stayed. This year we booked a tent and cabin because we were coming down with extra people and the tent and cabin were presentable, clean and great for a camping, home away from home environment. The location was great with its proximity to Margret River and the mounting biking tracks. Bring down your friends for extra fun (if they're called Konnor it will be extra spicy)
It was a little bit difficult to find this place because the GPS of my mobile phone took me to the middle of Bussell Hwy but after I spoke the lady at the office, I could manage to get there. In this park, there are many different types of accommodations. I stayed at the safari tent. The place is really basic. It has bed and a little table and chairs. So I need to bring my cooking tools. At night it was cold but suprisingly it has electric blanket. It was warm and nice. It was a very good memory. Thank RAC Margaret river nature park.
So I recommend you to check the place in the map in advance and bring kitchen tools if you stay in the safari tent.
DO NOT COME HERE, THE WORST PLACE IN AUSTRALIA, VERY RUDE AND UNHELPFULL, VERY UN AUSTRALIAN PLACE TO CAMP.
Awesome place to stay. Came midweek thinking it would be nice and quite.
It was full of school kids, could not get in the camp Kitchen morning or night and had to wait till late at night to get a shower as it was always full of kids.
If you want peace and tranquility you don't want to come here if they have school trips staying.
Stayed in the dorms. Great fun experience for the kids. The possums kept us entertained. Thanks to Bernadette for waiting for us to arrive and lighting the pot belly for us. So close to awesome mtb trails. Will be back soon.
The park is not car friendly it should be listed as 4 wheel drive only. It is a dangerous entrance to the park very dangerous for regular cars.
Beutifully located in the bush. Very close to Margaret River town centre. Cabins, eco tents and camping.
Love staying here! Third time now. We always camp and the facilities are impeccable. The price is great, and even better if you’re an RAC member of any level. Location is ideal being close to town but far enough from the highway that it’s nice a quiet at night.
