RAC Margaret River Nature Park reviews
60We really loves the RAC campground, the people working were absolutely super stars and so helpful. My one complaint is that in the bathroom and kitchen near the mill (where we stayed), it seems like every single water tap is leaking. And when I say leaking, I mean some of them are just dumping out water and you cannot close them off. This was a bit upsetting to us as WA is already having water troubles. Lovely place to stay but, RAC PLEASE FIX YOUR TAPS! You're a large company and would be saving so much water from being wasted. Thanks again to staff! Beautiful stay:) (
Overall=
A good bush type experience with resources families need:
Bbqs, laundry, playground and free decent wifi for when you need it.
Stayed in the biggest dorm.
Sleeps 26. Dorm has private door to a split level room with 13 singke bunks and 2 single beds there's 2 steps to half the beds. The fire escape is off the ground level.
There are a few windows and some pedestal fans as there's no air conditioning.
A (shared) communal living/ dining area with 3 other dorms. A huge outside undercover area. Small semi commercial communal kitchen. 3 fridges, a microwave, and a couple of toasters.
The negs=
There is no soundproofing between dorms and the mattresses were dusty.
No pool

A real bush experience: dust and all
Close to everything
Reasonable price to sleep many!
Amenities for families: laundry, disabled access, cooking facilities, Bbqs
Note: Access road not graded but accessible by a regular car (not low peofile tyres).
Disabled access via smooth paths in-between communal buildings but bumpy dirt roads otherwise. Keys required for disabled bathroom access.
We've stayed here many times. The modern safari tents are great. Good for a family. We've also had our swag here on a powered site. Great value. Great amenities. Great staff. They even have great coffee
Great shaded Park. Good facilities. Only two things wrong are only 1 clothesline for the whole park. Second is the long narrow driveway. Very awkward when cars meet let alone vans meet and very few areas to move over.
Amazing camping experience and a short stroll to Margaret River. So many memories. Wewill be back!
A lovely camp ground where you have plenty of space. It's a short walk to town and the mountain bike trails are right there.
All sites are powered and you are surrounded by natural bushland. It's perfect. It's has large amounts of toilets and showers which are clean. The kitchen area has some utensils but best to bring your own as it really won't have everything you'll need.
So bush like, only wildlife nosie shower block large& clean, laundry room new, huge under ground area for BQ, tables, cabins, safari tents, just beautiful,
Very friendly and helpful staff. Best ever. Love this place. Just need dumping point. Beautiful bush walking trails.
Such a great place. So quiet. It's an amazing place to stay with kids and adults. The mountain bike tracks are awesome. Not too easy or hard.
The wide spectrum of choices you can pick to stay is great, the powered sites and tents are really good to hang out with family or friends. Or the cabins are very good, especially privacy.
The view for some of the sites is very good, and in the morning you can see nature do its thing, especially in the evening.
Also an average price too, if you don't have any mountain bikes, you can rent them for cheap and reception is friendly. The toilets aren't great but you can always take a portable one.
I'd recommend this to anyone because it's great to everyone!
Nice little camp, has everything you need. The lady at reception was lovely! She's been working two weeks straight without a break ten hours a day and still has got the liveliest smile for you:)
Thank you very much, we enjoyed our stay here:)
We really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were excellent and you get the feeling of being in a lovely bush camp site while only minutes from the Margaret river township. Well equipped showers, great camp kitchen and playground.
This camp ground is particularly great for exploring the Wooditjup bike and walking trails, you can hire bikes on-site (the bikes are very rudimentary, but priced accordingly - you can get hire some really sweet bikes at the Marron Farm in town but you're paying 4x the price).
We were impressed of how clean it always was (although it was quiet as well). The receptionist is very accommodating and friendly. Also, checking in and out has been very quick and easy. Very recommendable.
What a great experience. From the start we were warmly welcomed and introduced to the area. The facilities were top not j and had multiple accessible options. The location is beautiful and the cycling from there. We Will defo be back. Great job RAC
Loves it! We stayed in one of the private dorm rooms and it was lovely, although I must say you can hear everything in the next dorm and can’t sleep until everyone has left the camp kitchen. But it was very convenient, the camping life with the convenience of a dorm. The family room is sensational and we loved the sensory walk! Although we went at the busiest time of the year, it felt very quiet. Will definitely stay there again!
The lady of the front desk was lovely and pleasant. The new toilet and shower block is modern and clean. Communal kitchen area leaves a bit to be desired. Would deffo come back again and have already recommend.
Couldn't fault the park or its staff, very professional and courteous, the facilities are functional and clean, the only feedback I have was about the access road, it needs widened. Overall I will go back without hesitation
If you love eating dust while camping this is the best site for you. We stayed whole time inside the cabin/tent because of the dust outside.
The common road is so dusty which makes it difficult to cook or sit outside the cabin/tent.
Any vehicle passes near the tent makes it worse. We had no issues other than that.
Lovely secluded spots. Absolutely huge camp kitchen. Very quiet at night. Great walking tracks and bike tracks behind the park. Would definitely stay again.
This is my favourite place to stay. Great for the whole family. Far away enough to get away from the hustle and bustle and recharge, yet so close to restaurants, shops and beautiful sight seeing locations. Been here several times and will always come back atleast once or twice a year. Great for families on a budget too! So much to do. Can't recommend this place enough
