RAC Esperance Holiday Park

Here for 5 nights. Nice big shady spots, clean, if old ablutions, friendly staff, great location. Closes on 30 April. Look forward to the reopening after they spend $20 million on redevelopment. Will be back next year.

Bathrooms are insufficient and unclean and untidy. The noisy main road in the front wasn't mentioned so pay extra for a sea view traffic never stopped.

-don't like big groups
-wanted us to move our cars out and check in for extending the stay
-treated like criminals, massive trust issues
-first we tried to call ourselves, they didn't want us, got a place when the visitor center called them
-run down

Park very old but they are closing at the end of the month to revamp the whole place. Girls in the office were very friendly and helpful.
The park has great views right on the ocean. Will be an awesome place once the upgrade is completed

Beautifully situated and after the redo should be fabulous. Very prompt attention from staff. Looking forward to visiting again after its revamp.

Had an terrible experience here, we were treated like children. Yelled at and sworn at by one of the managers on a bike for using the bathrooms. This place was waaay to overpriced, and the staff are a bunch of goobers just trying to make money regardless of customer satisfaction. It should not be operating like this.

Bathrooms are dirty and old. Kitchen is small as well given the large amount of campers. Needs renovation.

I would give a 0 star rating if I could. Absolutely appalling, abrupt and unfriendly staff. One of the rangers yelled at my 6 year old daughter for wondering around the camp ground and she came back in tears as she was so frightened by him. This would have to be the most unpleasant camping experience I’ve ever had. Not to mention it was grossly overpriced.

Well located on beachfront with paved foreshore walk to town centre. A busy, well managed camp ground with facilities that are seriously in need of an upgrade, which is planned to commence mid 2021. If a grassy site is a priority for you then there are probably better options on offer elsewhere. Like so many parks in post covid era the place was operating at capacity during our 5 day visit - nonetheless a pleasant stay.

In need of a bit of a reno,
But a really cool place.
Short walk to the jetty for fishing and coffee,
Or a short drive to the tourist coast drive that leads to heaps of adventure.

Janitor is a foul mouthed cretin with the people skills of a tarnished door knob. Won't be back

Terrible service. Manager Paul treated me and my group with so little respect and a lot of suspision because we were a large group (9 adults in 6 cars). He has trust issues with large groups because of past experiences and chooses to treat all groups as trouble makers because of it. This is terrible customer service. He spoke to us like children and it was insulting. We only stayed because everything else was booked out.
A few days later we needed one less site as one of our group members was leaving. We were told that we would all need to check out, pack our stuff away and come back after 12 in order for this to happen. How ridiculous! So inconvenient and doesn't make any sense. This was the last straw for us so we took our business elsewhere.
Needless to say we were perfect guests and were not noisy at all. Families with children and babies were noisier than us. Hopefully they weren't treated as poorly.
In terms of the park it's pretty run down and dated. The kitchen is small. There is a low fence around the perimeter that anyone can jump over. Our neighbours had a motorbike stolen during the night the evening before we arrived.
I would not recommend this place unless you are desperate.

You can directly see the beach and sea! Literally cross 1 road you are on the beach. The location is close to everything in town. The noise others complained didn’t bother us.

Handy location across from the beach. Sites are a good size but that's about it. Toliets and showers are awful, so old its hard to tell how clean it is. Did provide disinfectant spray but wasn't clearly labelled. Sites are just dirt with a shade cloth pad which was ok. Did have some shade. Playground is basically a swing that is located right next to the road. I know they are closing for renovations soon. Sorely needed. Disappointing when that's your break for the year.

We have booked it for 9 days for our family caravan trip in this park, assuming it would be similar standard as the other RAC Park. However, we are very disappointed. Playground is 25+ years old and in a windy and unsafe location, hard to access for kids
Our kids had nowhere to go within the park! The toilets and showers are dirty. The park is very busy.

Facilities are good not excellent.still ok.no grass area anywhere.but main thing these guys need o upgrade are the street light.we couldn’t even find our spot on our first day (we arrived in the day light went to get dinner and on the way to our camp base we struggled to find it)

Was staying in tent powered site for 4 nights.

Cons: 1) Understand that this caravan parks will be upgrade soon this year 2021, but upgrading the dryer machine ASAP is required. Tried to use dryer in North West block laundry and dryer was error.not about loosing $5 but more loosing time. 2) The height of perimeter fence next to tent sites area needs to be lifted-up to improve security 3) Tent sites too close to main Norseman road, noisy when vehichles passing around (installing cancellation wall would be good) 4) Peak season seems overcrowded. 5) Minimum playground option.

Pro: 1) Fantastic location, very handy 2) Shady tent sites 3) Friendly staff 4) Affordable price in premium location.
