Portofinos Restaurant, Bar & Function Venue

An excellent restaurant, a beautiful setting. Delicious meal, great service and only metres away from the ocean.what could be nicer? Highly recommended.

Popped in for a berry smoothie on a bike ride with Mr 8 and it kept us going all the way home.uphill! Fab smoothie!

Friendly staff, great view of the ocean whilst sharing a couple bottles of wine and pizza with friends. Friendly atmosphere and some chilled background music.

Great roast pork today on a cold, wet and windy day. Great views of the ocean and prompt friendly service. Will definitely be back.

Delicious coffee today! Great to have a nice play area for the kids to play while enjoying a coffee.

Food was delicious, very generous servings too. The sticky pork was divine and I was surprised at the burst of flavours from the tasting plate I ordered. Too much for me but I got to take home any left overs. Highly recommended

Had the fish of the day which was snapper grilled.the meal was good but fish was over salted.
My friend had the roast beef it was a good large serve but the meat was dry so therefore made it tough to eat.
The venue visually needs some atmosphere looks like a huge barn.not even the one fireplace helps.ugggg

It was very clean but two incorrect meals arrived which we had to wait to be corrected, thats ok but its not pleasant eating while others are waiting. Also windows could have done with a clean. Food was lovely though.

Always a pleasant night here. Food is great, atmosphere is nice and staff are professional and friendly. It's often a lovely night out.

Many food and drink choices on the menu. Food was excellent and service was very good. Highly reccomend.

Great happy hour drinks, fantastic cocktails. Just need a better layout of tables to accommodate more people in the evenings outside. Otherwise fabulous.

Organization following the reservation not perfect. We received our aperitif during the service of the main course. So we did not take wine with our meal as we planned. If the meat was good, the vegetables could have been a little more cooked. Comfortably, it's been three times that we go in this restaurant and unfortunately still noisy.

We have always been really happy with the cafe and restaurant but we ordered 3 takeaway pizza's from the restaurant and at a cost of $85 we were really disappointed very basic for the price, we wont be ordering takeaway again, definitely not value for money.

I had an event at Portofinos, the drinks were not presented as it was discussed on arrival (Wine was meant to be out on the tables in chill buckets) it took me 15 minutes to get the wine brought outside. The waitresses had not been briefed as discussed on the phone with events coordinator, in how the event was to be run including when food was to come out etc.
They lost my cake (which was a surprise birthday present from my husband) that was valued at $260 and only had a very small amount cut out of it at a cost of $15 cake corkage and a large glass flower vase filled with flowers. I have emailed twice and called and no one has bothered to contact me. Very disappointed as arrangements had been made to pick up the cake and decorations left the following day and the only thing I could take home were my balloons. The location was lovely and my Friends and family had a lovely afternoon, but such a shame that the coordinator cant contact to explain the loss of my birthday cake/decorations.considering we spent close to $1500 on food and bar TAB that day, a follow up call would have been nice.

Disgusting is the only word I can use to describe my breakfast this morning! Ordered the Spanish Omelette and it came out brown, dry and the bread was hard couldn't even cut it with the knife, had to go and get butter because it didn't come with any. Looked like the omelette had been chucked in a pan and left to cook to oblivion because it had a brownish crust.yuk, left most of it on the plate.
We also ordered the Pancakes and they were not much better, hardly any fruit, stodgy and not much syrup or cream not really pleasant to eat and half of that dish was left on the plate too.
To summarise, if I could leave less than 1 star I would, it was so BAD! Definitely don't recommend this Cafe!

It's ok but that is all. You pay top dollar for bland, tasteless fish. Top dollar for pasta covered in dolmio sauce. Your food comes out super late. There is no water with your table, you have to grab it from an urn at the back yourself (IT'S TAP WATER! Would it kill you to put a jug of it on the table? !). No point booking a table because the give it to other people. Do I need to go on?

Nice place in a beautiful location.good food and cheap pints out on the terrace for sunset.priceless.
