Portofinos Restaurant, Bar & Function Venue

My partner and her group went for a big function and all came home ill yesterday. Food came out cold as soon as waiters served it. They need better quality control for sure. Avoid the beef burger, chicken kebabs, pies and baos. Location is amazing but your customers deserve better.

This place is the best - food & service is five star! The main guy Jack is a top bloke & does a great job! Very happy to call this place my local!

Two of us breakfasted here. The staff was busy, but friendly and helpful. It's a very pleasant area, especially when sitting at the window.
The breakfast food was reasonable. However, for the (pretty average) pricing, it was a little small, and far from stand-out.

Birthday Lunch - Beautiful outlook & Location - Pity the food is shocking with Bruschetta on top of soggy toasted bread followed by Salmon overcooked it could bounce & vegetables (Bok Choy) so under cooked they were close to raw! Considering the price for the meal and that the Restaurant was not busy I will not be returning anytime soon.

Our meal was only outdone by the service. It’s been a long time since I had such fantastic service. Our server was Tessa but she was not the only person to check in on us, all were equally happy offer to serve us with a smile. Hanna was equally superb.

Back to the kitchen. As I suffer some dietary sensitivities I often have difficult getting food that completely agrees with me and equally difficult to find a chef who is happy give it their all to accommodate my sensitivities. Portofinos was exceptional in this regard as well.

As for the views, right on the Ocean, we intentionally chose to celebrate our Anniversary with Portofinos to enjoy the wonderful WA Sunset and signature cocktails before our dining experience began.

Simply put, go there, I’m confident you won’t be disappointed.

Been looking forward to visiting this venue for some time, what a disappointing experience. Arrived for booking, seated fairly quickly, drinks and meal order taken. Then the wait began. 45 minutes later, after watching people who arrived after us get their meals, overall average meals arrived, other than the flat iron, which was good.
Vegetables were inedible, asked for them to be cooked a little more, no issue other than the next lot arrived equally inedible.
No one asked how we were enjoying meal, offered desserts, so we left.
As it was a birthday celebration, the experience was even more underwhelming.   After reading reading such good reviews, unfortunately we won't be returning.

Very limited choices for mains though, briefly: woodfire pizza, steak and pasta with its variants

Been here a few times before and really enjoyed myself. Thought I would bring my girlfriends here for a brunch out.

Have to say they were very disappointed!

As we all work in front line of customers services, we were all a bit disappointed.

We came in on a Sunday morning. The front desk staff were lovely but they young lady looking after us at our table definitely didn’t want to be at work that morning.
She had no enthusiasm at all, and couldn’t even give a smile.
She left many things off the menu when we ordered and had to ask twice where they were.

As much as I like to support small businesses, please make sure you have a happy friendly welcoming team.

My mother and I ended up walking out after waiting far too long to be served by staff. They were more interested in clearing tables than taking our orders so we took our business elsewhere, where it was welcomed and appreciated.

Very bad experience and disappoint service in Portofinos'Cafe. This afternoon, I went to there with my wife and ordered two coffees and meals. After waiting 10 minutes of our order, my wife noticed that there is no any staff there to make coffee in the coffee machine area, she went to the order area and asked about our orders, a lady staff (the manager, she told us late on) told my wife that she did not have the copy of our order (should have a copy with our order there in order to make our order by chef or coffee staff). Obviously, she made a mistake. However, she did not apologise about this mistake and seek an unreasonable excuse for her mistake: only 10 minutes waiting. We indicated the 10 minutes waiting was our asking time after the order. If we did not ask it, they totally missed our order!
Finally, we required the refund because of their un-professional attitude and service. We will never recommend person to attend Portofinos Cafe.

Great place for catch up lunches. Outstanding views and venue. Food always comes out looking good and always very tasty. Service is very slick and staff are on the ball.

Great food but the restaurant had no ambience and inside was quite basic so didn't meet our expectations. Also very cold as the air-con was set on high. Maybe it is better during the day when the view from the restaurant would make up for the barn like interior.

We had lunch here on the weekend, food and coffee was good, my burger was great with a rustic bun and handmade burger Pattie. We did have to wait a while for our food but it all worked out in the end.

This was the best restaurant in the north so far, love the romantic place and the food was amazing, 100% recommended.

Good food and family friendly. The kids have a safe place to play right outside the care in full view of the parents inside eating. Plenty of parking.

Customer service good food was amazing nice setting but food is expensive over $40 for surf & turf which consist of one piece of steak two prawns on sticks $14 for a desert the size of an egg cup with a drizzle of sauce and half a strawberry was very disappointing 2 stars for value for money

Always have a lovely meal at Portofinos Cafe nicely priced and lovely service with beautiful scenery. Dependable love it xxx

The restaurant is light a d airy with a great sea view. The food is always delicious and the staff helpful and friendly

Worth the drive further north, lovely beach side position in winter. Had the chilli mussels, good without being great. Beer was truly frosty which is hard to find these days.
