Peel Zoo

We had so much fun on a family outing here! Great variety of animals, birds, and reptiles, but what made the day amazing was talking to the zookeepers and learning about the animals and their care. Everyone was so informative and passionate about the animals!

We booked the koala experience and I was interested in the wombat experience too but learned the wombat booking is only available to book the day before and happens first thing in the morning! Highly recommend, so memorable and fun.

Loved this place, took the time to chat with Red and his staff, they were super knowledgeable and friendly. My favorite was the pen with the llamas and goats and deer (? !), make sure you feed the little sheep because he gets bullied by the bigger ones

Ranger Red Zoo was amazing. The prices to get in and the close encounters with some of the animals was fantastic. The staff at the zoo was very friendly as well

For the price per family charged with no add ons, (picture with Koala or other things you can pay and do in certain hours) I think this place needs a jolly good face lift, went 9 years ago first, then 5 years ago then Aug 2023 and to be honest looks like nothing has been spent on the place to us it’s very run down won’t be heading back with Grandies anytime soon, which is a shame could be regular place to take the kids if it was better kept

Loved loved our visit to Ranger Redz what an awesome zoo. Staff are awesome. Highly recommend the Junior Zookeeper experience. Will be back when we are in WA again. I must to put on your do to list.

I really enjoyed being at the zoo today I would come back and visit again I like when the bird landed on my shoulder.

I felt terrible for the animals. I won't be returning unfortunately. The staff were lovely but the cage conditions are really bad. Some areas smelt terrible. Food and water scarce. Muddy or sandy pens. Most of the animals looked distressed or docile and others were injured, sick and bleeding. I felt depressed being there. There was a dead rat in a water bowl on the first rack of bird cages. The place needs a big fix. I think it needs to be reported and someone come in and give some of the animals medical attention.
The other 1 star reviews are absolutely spot on. Sorry Red, you seem like a good bloke and I can imagine the costs involved but the poor animals shouldn't be suffering this.

Was a lovely place to visit especially if you have young children they would love it you can feed certain animals as well had a great day

We had an awesome experience with our toddler this morning. Absolutely loved the scheduled interactive encounters with the the animals, this was really a highlight in comparison to other petting zoo's/ farms and all inclusive in the entry cost was bonus! The staff were friendly and engaging, we will be back for sure

Amazing selection of animals to view awesome bird parrot avery they will fly and walk on you kool experience.owl's also around 16 patt a baby owl if you are lucky and lizrads and snakes

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! Great family day out, Staff are warm and welcoming, So much to do and see. The friendly deer was our favorite! Safe environment for younger kids.

Definitely the worst zoo/animal park I've been too. Not a blade of grass in sight. Tiny, small enclosures. Animals so bored. Cobwebs everywhere and very untidy and messy.wouldn't recommend. Took us less than 45 minutes to get through and couldn't wait to get out of the place.

Had a great time with the family here today, staff are friendly and helpful, plenty of wildlife to see and interactive sessions throughout the day

We visited the zoo on Friday and we were so happy with the experience! Our kids had a blast and we will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!

Fantastic place to visit. Friendly staff, great selection of animals to see and helping conservation of our native animals.

In need of some care. But great for kids. A little expensive for the state it is in at the moment.
