Painless Clinic

Incredibly unprofessional. Was seen by a doctor who isn't even registered with Medicare. Am fairly sure that's fraud as he used a different practitioners provider number. I was told to practice mindfulness & go for a walk when my pain was so bad I literally couldn't function/walk. No testing or therapies were offered. I left crying, wasn't offered a tissue or even a word of kindness. It was a horrible experience. I was also forced to buy the book they force onto everyone, which is basically a self help guide for children to practice being "mindful". Complete rubbish. Also offered the only thing they seem to offer every single person who walks in the door, their "PEA" supplement which they exclusively (& expensively) supply; regardless of your condition or symptoms. Do NOT recommend.

Dr Cook is wonderful, patient, understanding & compassionate. He helped me feel back in control of my life and to slowly wean myself off the worst pain medication which was doing more harm than good. I am so much better off being under his care and following his advice. Highly recommend.

Dr. Cooke pretty much turned my life around. I was at my wits end with my pain and i was ready to give up. I was suffering from severe pain due to my current work trial and previous injury at work. He presribed me exactly what i needed and it has not only changed my work life style but also my personal life style. The book that him and his wife published is a great read and highly helpful.

Nick is so different to any other pain specialists I've had. My first consultation with Nick was about 45 minutes and he actually got me up to see how my back moves (no other specialists have ever looked at anything other than scans). He was very thorough with my medical history and definitely looks at different alternatives! Have, and would continue to recommend Nick to all my friends and family.

I have been seeing Dr Cooke, physio and OT, they have each played an amazing role in my healing journey and I can't thank them enough.

I was charged $50 for cancelling my appointment the day before it was to take place. Apparently you will be charged if you change it within 48 hrs. Get this - they send the sms reminder less than 12 hours before the appointment. Be careful in dealing with these guys and read the fine print. I spent thousands with them and had very little success. I will not be returning to them at all.

Be careful of this place very unprofessional so look else where.

- The hospital and the anaesthetist gave me a courtesy call to advise my private health cover wasn’t going to cover my hospital bed or twighlight anaesthetic. Painless clinic failed to advise of a quote prior to the operation which left me out of pocket the whole operation. (First operation so I wasn’t aware of the procedure)

- Not once did I lay a single eye or speak 1 single word to the the operating doctor, I was visited by the
anaesthetist Jamie who was very professional and upfront to advise of his procedure. I laid in the bed prior to my procedure without knowing what exactly I was having done.

- After the procedure I once again laid in the bed without knowing if I could move, get up, eat or do anything, still no word or sight of the doctor. The nurse came in and checked on me, then advised I had someone here to pick me up. STILL NO SOGHT OF THE DOCTOR

- After all of this the most upsetting and frustrating part was Medibank had agreed to cover my surgery which was great but I advised painless clinic on Monday that was the case. Then on Thursday I received an email from my WORKPLACE (which had nothing to do with my surgery) saying please painless clinic or we will be getting debt collectors involved.

- extremely unprofessional in many aspects. Be careful.

Amazing service, couldn't be happier! Absolutely love the multidisciplinary approach:) Finally feel like I'm moving in the right direction.

I have been attending Dr Nick Cooke for just over a year now as a patient suffering from extreme pain, which proved very difficult for other specialists to analyse. His skills and knowledge in this field have been nothing short of outstanding in dealing with my chronic pains.

His manner and patient approach towards myself has been excellent given my multiple problems, he has also helped to make my husband understand the complexities of my pain. Nick has given me back a greater quality of life and continues to search for ways to enhance it even further.

All other Doctors within the practice that I have had contact with have proven to be very professional and helpful during my visits.

Absolutely amazing place, knowledgeable and approachable staff who take the time to listen and structure an individual care plan.

Dr Stephanie Davies is a wonderful doctor and a real caring person i would not go anywhere else for pain relief she is the best! The staff are also very nice and helpful.
