Ocean & Paddock

Partner and I are currently travelling Aus and stopped in here today. These might just be the best burgers we have ever had! I got the beef and he got the chicken. Absolutely unreal. Food was 10/10 and the only thing better was the customer service. Both the young girl and man were so helpful and welcoming. Sadly we were too excited to get stuck in that we didn’t get a picture.

Recently visited Albany and was recommended Ocean and Paddock. High quality food with terrific service. The owner / chef is a great character and goes out of his way to engage with customers. Highly recommend this place if visiting the area.

Nice food, way over priced, 4$ for a crab stick! Unfortunately for the price I won't be back.

Pretty pricey for fish and chips. Old school tables is cool but let's face it out of date and not really excepted unless in the ocean front. Food was okay but again pricey for what you get. Service was okay. Friendly enough.

We have just visited this store after reading awesome reviews and a local recommendation. We drove 30 mins. We had one portion of chips instead of 3 but ok mistakes can be made. But the three of us concur that this was the worse fish we had had in 20+ years in Australia. Very disappointing.

Good food, good service but the prices have jumped up considerably. This may be inflation at work but it was a big jump from previous years.

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Yummy, clean food. Try their sauces/vinegars. Doesn’t leave you feeling oily and bloated afterwards.

Lovely food - I always order grilled fish and it tastes absolutely amazing, seasoning is on point! The staff have exceptional customer service and show genuine care for everyone who walks through their doors. Highly recommend!

Amazing service from this young lady, very nice and polite. Food was perfect, perfect texture and perfectly cooked. Chippy vinegar was delicious and overall, had a good experience. Would definitely come here again!

I don't agree with the award that it's the best fish of Western Australia, it's best of the world. Delicious food, amazing ambiance and very kind staff. The owner's company was cherry on the top. He is the best and most courteous host i have met in any restaurant. The food was tasty but it was more than just a food, it was an experience which is definitely unforgettable

Lovely fish and chips. Loads of other take away options like burgers and the like.
Gluten free available on request and just as good as the non gluten free.

This place serve the best fish and chip I had eaten. We ordered the snapper ($22) and cod ($26) with calamari and eggplant wedges and even though it is on the pricier side, the quality of the fish is fantastic.

Ordered snapper and chips x 2,2 x dim sims and a serve of the cauliflower cheese balls. Came to $93! For deep fried food this astounds me! Not to mention we got about 12 chips each. The fish was good but nothing you couldn’t get elsewhere.

Usually, as a vegetarian when you go to a fish and chip shop you have 2 options, small chips and large chips. Ocean and Paddock however offers a great selection of delicious vegetarian food. Their staff polite and positive people. Their batter could not have been better and their fry was fantastic! Would definatly recommend

The buttermilk chicken burger tasted good. The chicken was succulent and not dry. But I don’t think it’s worth $26. For that price you’d usually have chips to go with it. This was the most expensive burger I had!

The classic flavours were all there, succulent prawns and tender peppered calamari strips. Then the sparce and small cut chips and buttermilk fried chicken burger was a tad steep for $25. Overall it needs to be much better for the price. Worth trying for the way the fish is cooked and staff very friendly.

My wife and I have been living in Albany for 18 months and wished we had tried Ocean & Paddock on our first day in Albany. We recently had beautiful fish, squid, prawns and chips in a seafood basket and loved it

Had the family feast. Changed up two pieces of fish and they were good. Solid and had a nice texture.
The original fish was just okay.
The nuggets were a nice touch but not so much the fried dim sum and crabs ticks.
Very generous servings of chips and nice service.
Food was served quite promptly after we ordered.
