Ningaloo Reef Resort reviews
50Coral Bay pure magic all year round. Ningaloo Reef Resort has some lovely hard working staff, basic and clean facilities. Kitchen processes could be improved as long wait times when under slight pressure. Bar fridges not very cold, and beer and softies often flat. Otherwise loved it. Look forward to seeing the RAC revamp later this year, hope it still keeps its local vibe and natural appearance but gives the joint some TLC. See you in a year or so Coral Bay
We stayed at the grand for 2 nights. The amazing view mesmerized us to such a extent that didn't notice anything else. Just remembered the dryer were very handy.
The stairs up to the penthouse room were very steep and hard to navigate with luggage. Otherwise the room itself and the view were wonderful.
It's lovely here, staff are friendly, rooms are clean and the bed was well dressed. Kitchen facilities and outdoor BBQ's were great. And swimming in a shaded pool after a long day in the sun and salt was a luxury.
Near excursion point. Decent stay w well equipped kitchen. However, kitchen just beside bed, would be better if it is separate. They do have outdoor BBQ using hotplate. However it seem to be malfunction.
Nice big clean aircon room with fridge cooker microwave pots and and pans. Everything you need if you want to self cater and serviced daily.
I have just stayed a week at Ningaloo Reef resort, four adults shared an apartment. We were on the second floor. Just so i am clear for those reading this review, the review is about the resort.not Coral Bay, that is a different review!
This is my first time at the resort, third time to Coral Bay, the resort itself is like many others have said in previous reviews, very old and tired. The "resort" "feel" is missing when referring to the buildings. The rooms are old, dated both inside and out. Furnishings within the building are ok. However when you consider what you are paying for the accommodation, it is pretty poor. The fundamentals are ok and in some cases great. For example, aircons working well was a sigh of relief, beds, linen, ok, bathroom.not "resort" standard at all. This being said the place is very clean and tidy! There appears to be plenty of staff about who on all occasions were great, very friendly (see video of crab races on Melbourne cup day), helpful and if you needed something they did their best to help you. The resort has a bar, and cafe and also a betting at the bar if that is also your thing. There is a BBQ if you want to cook your own food which we did one night (see pic). The view from our apartment was amazing and the location of the resort is the best in Coral Bay in my view. Right in front of uninterrupted beach and right beside the lookout which makes for great sunsets over water.
Would i come back to Ningaloo Reef Resort. If I did not own a caravan (where I would stay at the caravan park for a lot cheaper). Yes i would come back, apart from a backpacker hostel and and a few airbnb, there is no other options other than camp grounds. It would be great if RAC spent a few bucks updating the place. We loved our stay, made the most of it, the tired buildings did not take away from the awesome time we had, rather it makes us compare what we paid compared to other places, this place is not cheap by any means!
Room 3/5 floors smell of unpleasant cleaning agent
food 4/5 tasty
service 4/5 friendly
wifi 2/5 works but access cards are a pain
Fantastic place, beach is superb, water is crystal clear, wading into the sea and standing with the reef sharks was superb. They are very timid so you have to stand still and they will swim near you. You must do the snorkel trip, snorkeling in open water out at the reef was excellent. The camp site was clean and had all the amenities that you need. Will definately be back
