Nanutarra Roadhouse reviews
67This joints a hole now, just witnessed the guys in there double charge a truck driver for a meal. He called them out on it and basically told him to Fu& off. I was over charged for my meal also. Sneaky till staff, ruder than ya drunk uncle. Without a doubt the worst service on the NWC highway. Dodge, evade, avoid.
About halfway between Exmouth and Karratha on Highway 1, and next to the junction for Tom Price and Karijini, Nanutarra is the ideal location to break your journey. Many roadtrains stop here. There are many trees along the banks of thee Ashburton River - a welcome sight in a land devoid of plant life except low scrub. Sunset is beautiful, and lots of stars are visible around new moon time.
Clean. Aircon does its job and hot showers all working well in the middle of nowhere. Good upkeep. Much better than the other strips in Kalbarri and Carnarvon
The single accommodation is neat and clean. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Good meals. Kitchen closes at 8pm.
Camp ground looks cool and shaded. Usually full.
Service station facilities were clean.
Room for both small and oversize vehicles to park. Multiple bowsers (all operational)
Outside seating area also clean and tidy.
Friendly service.
Been stopping here for the last 7 years whilst driving trucks they have always been very consistent with food and service theyre very remote and deal with the fact very well usually a reliable place to get a decent coffee from
One of few places that still charges a surcharge for credit card - and didn’t advise this before the transaction.
Stopped for a quick feed, fuel and a bed for a few hours when passing through on an endurance ride.
Had a veggie burger and chips, really surprised how tasty and well presented it was.
Prices were more than reasonable.
The only stop within 3 hours in any directions, expensive fuel, not and food, but no other choices
Had booked to stay but wanted to move it forward one night which was not an issue.
I thought we would have noise and light issues due to the caravan/camper area being so close to the road and traffic, but it wasn't an issue.
I didn't like having to walk across the sand after my shower, but it is the outback and you can't expect paving everywhere.
Very busy place. Some prices for food are beyond expensive. $3.50 for a Freddo Frog. One little Freddo.
Amenities were clean. Staff welcome depending on when you went in, ranged from friendly to I am just doing my job.
Good spot to stay between towns.
Brilliant homemade sausage rolls great price too.but ok pies could have more fillings for the price.
We knew it was the most expensive fuel, by far, between Karratha and Carnarvon so we only topped up enough to get us to Minilya, as we did last year heading north.
My sister I are traveling from Kununurra to Wyalkatchem and are staying here tonight and I have to say it's the cleanest roadhouse I've ever come across. The single rooms are lovely and spacious. The public amenities are meticulously clean. The shop has the widest range of foods I've seen on the road. The main meal menu is extensive and goes from 5pm to 8pm. Oh and the staff are absolutely delightful.
Opens at 6am. Has hot food available but I was really after their Smokey, pastry wrapped kransky sausage but I was too early. Usually very busy, friendly staff and clean toilets.
Awesome reception. Decent rooms with an amazing river within walking distance. Located behind a service station and kitchen so food and all essentials are easily accessible which is a miracle this far outta town
Stayed for a stop over on way to destination. Hadn't booked so only unpowered site available. Not a lot of spaces so best to book on line. Showers and flushing toilet clean and hot water available. Cooked meals very good. Bit pricy for unpowered spot. But in the middle of nowhere. 24 hr free stop not far down the road but we didn't have any water left and wanted a shower.
Its a basic roadhouse stop with minimal facilities. Only Telstra mobile service. Plenty of parking at the back for caravans and campers.
Has most of what you need at a roadhouse. You'll pay a good price for it also. Theres an area where you can park up next it and relax.
The only "game in town " for refuelling going north or south. The managers as regards payment for fuel have got a great system going, as long as travelers don't abuse it. Tucker's excellent as well!
The food they serve is above average and very enjoyable at a reasonable price considering there location but their fuel prices are way to high compared with other roadhouses either side
Quite a pleasant treed campground where we had an overnight stop. Very small shower stalls with nowhere to put your stuff & no soap or anything to dry your hands with in the ladies toilets. Washing facilities but no dump point for toilets.
