Millpoint Caffe Bookshop reviews
57A quaint Caffe offering lip smacking food and an amazing collection of books. The atmosphere is relaxed and urges you to put your feet up and read a good book.
A nice cafe in a bookstore or vice versa.:) Delicious espresso-style coffee, proven: long black and flat white. Delicious apple cake, but you can try other delicacies. Water in a bottle or on site free of charge. A pleasant enclave that provides atmospheric shelter from the heat and ubiquitous cars.
Poached eggs on toast with a side of Bacon but there was more Bacon than rest of dish.
Coffee not very good.
Previous owners had a better menu with Sweet Potato and Chicken salad,
Haloumi Stack and a beautiful Platter with Prawns, Chicken, Chorizo Sundried Tomatoes bread and hummus.
Lovely selection of Rolls and Cakes.
Prices have also gone up
This will be a nice coffee place for a book lover. A cuppa surrounded by a lot of books It was lovely. Coffee wasn't to my liking, though could be to someone else's.
Very nice atmosphere. Ordered a mocha that came out within 2 minutes very quick service. Carolyn was very smiley, kind and happy. Definitely recommend.
Coffee came out super hot and the spinach and ricotta quiche was delicious. Friendly staff with welcoming smiles made it a very pleasant atmosphere.
An absolute gem of a place, we came across while walking to the zoo, much more than meets the eye from the outside, we have been twice in our one week visit to Perth, great food, great service and atmosphere
We were told this is an interesting book store with good coffee but it was closed for a month when we visited. Since it is quite a way off the main drag be sure to check before visiting.
Nice interesting cafe, food is nice and came out quickly. A lot of different options to choose from on the menu and it’s reasonably priced. Would rather the sauce inside the quesadilla instead of on top as it makes it a bit messy to eat.
I had an apple and cinnamon muffin and a latte. It's a nice relaxing environment for a coffee break.
The muffin was delicious.
Bonus: finish your excellent coffee and something from the range of Euro pastries (think light, crisp and tasty) and browse the good range of books for take-away brain food.
Well!
Did Anyone say Fresh?
I’ll Tell you like it is all the same.
We took a chance to stop in at this lovely, quaint if not eclectic caffe today and we were not disappointed either.
It only went in search for coffee and a gluten free cake or something to go with out.
A quick dash in saw me served with such surprising hospitality as if I was someplace in Italy and an expected guest.
Note, that Is surprising given the excuses many cafes give when their staff are rude, glib or just plain run off their feet when bad service occurs.
Oh yes the cake.
It was fresh Fresh as if it just left the oven. It was their gluten free/dairy free orange sponge cake that was as tall as you could or should have a single layer and just enough orange drizzled to soak in and not spoil the sponge.
Anyway it is served with cream on the side (I had mine without, but it was the most sumptuous slice I’ve had in a v v v long time.
Oh, other local cafes! Take note at the serving sizes and stop telling me that you have had to decrease your cake slices to two finger widths with inflation, because this cafe gives you more slice (4 finger widths) for your $$ than you’re expecting to have.
What a wonderful experience and the coffee was an excellent match!
Thanks for really serving us, like we were actually welcome there.
Oh I wish I didn't talk so much and forgot a pic of our Avacado Bruschetta with poached egg very nice followed by orange cake and coffee, devine.
One of the best tea and coffee places in Perth. Lovely Thai beef salad and fantastic service! Thank you again
Food was great, the owners are lovely, back yard is a nice setting for breakfast.
Slight confusion over meals that came out but quickly resolved.
Cakes looked delicious but we were too full so we will have to go back.
If you want a real coffee shop and a nice and calm atmosphere with smile that's the one.
Best coffee shop in south Perth
Love the fact you can eat, drink and browse at the same time. Books and coffee are a match made in heaven.
Nice cafe for lunch. Food is always good with the added bonus of browsing the book shelves after lunch.
Little slow to take my order (due to it being so busy! Which is good for them!) but other than that such lovely staff and delicious food. Awesome garden dining for your doggo to join you?
Will be back for sure!
This cafe is absolutely gorgeous.
Parking is just in and around the streets.
Comfortable seats in the bookshop space great for meetings of 2-4 people.
Outdoor space is shaded. You can take your pets & they get spoilt.
Staff were friendly and food was quick.
