Merriwa Medical Centre

I couldn’t get into my normal Doctor so I tried here and was put on a cancellation list. I have been here before so I was confident with the surgery. I was called up and able to see the lovely Dr Hannah Williamson without much wait.
The medical reception staff are also very efficient and kind. I will be back.

Dr Williamson is caring, very knowledgeable and most importantly listens and discusses matters with you so you understand relevant health issues and options.

I had a Flu Vaccination at the Merriwa Medical Centre. My appointment was attended to on time and the staff were polite and professional.

A good Medical centre with good Practitioners. It's just a shame that it stopped bulk-billing. Especially in an area with low income earners.

Had a hard time yesterday trying to secure an appointment as I was urgently needing a medical certificate due to illness. Very thankful to the lady I spoke to here, Rochelle I think her name was. She was very polite and booked me in for a Telehealth appointment with no issues. It’s refreshing to chat to someone on the desk that goes the extra mile. My GP then called me on time so please with my experience overall. Thank you!

The new female doctor has a tendency of cutting you off whilst you are trying to explain to them what is wrong. This doctor was not thorough like the others. Apart from, the nurses receptionists and my usual doctors are fabulous. I would not see this doctor again.

I always have a supportive, positive, understanding and compassionate experience with my doctor and the staff of Merriwa Medical Centre.

Travel 15kms and pass other practices on the way. Dr Hannah Williams is the main reason I still go here as she got me through a real tough time and continues to be amazing. The nurses and reception staff are all so friendly and caring so my wife and I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

Have to say this medical clinic has gone down hill. Though some of the Drs there are thorough but it's very hard trying book an appointment with your own Dr. But the rudeness from one of the Receptionist has me feeling disgusted in the way she spoke to some of the patients. Feeling embarrassed for the patients having this Receptionist tell them if they can't afford $20 to see the Dr then they won't be seen. The blonde Receptionist with the loud voice believe her name is Gill. Watched and listened whilst waiting to be seen by the Dr made me think that I need to look for another Medical clinic. Merriwa Medical do better!

Taken almost 3 months to get my own medical records. Being told by the loud Receptionist at this medical clinic that I have no rights to my own medical file when I know I can request my file, this rude Receptionist kept arguing with me. She then tells me if I am going to get upset then I should leave. I asked to speak to the manager but of course no manager there. Left the clinic very upset then received a phone call from another Receptionist saying that I can get my medical files but I have to sign a release form. This Receptionist that rang me was very apologetic and said I can come to the clinic any time to sign form then pick up my medical files. Don't treat your patients like they're dumb!

Keep getting notifications to do a review but I will give one as I no longer attend this medical clinic. This clinic was great when I first attended a year ago. Drs, nurses have been great. But front desk staff probably need more training in dealing with patients. Not all though need training but one in particular Receptionist whom stuffed up my appointment when I booked at front desk tells me when I turned up to my appointment that the appointment was not booked. Even though it was her that booked my appointment. I showed her the card she wrote my appointment on. She had zero care that I needed to see the Dr because there was no available appointments. I said I can sit and wait only to be told no I can't wait but she will put me on the cancellation list. I said no that's not good enough. This Receptionist then tells me that I was being aggressive and I should leave when she was the one being loud and rude. Walked out of that clinic frustrated and upset. Never got a call back from the clinic that day. Should be no stars given.

Only been with this Medical clinic for a few months now and can't fault it. Drs are lovely and empathetic. Nurses are lovely. The ladies at reception are very welcoming and helpful. The pacific island lady at reception is always so chirpy and friendly. When I first registered with the clinic this Receptionist was so helpful and informative. Happy with my new Medical Clinic.

Unaware that the clinic has changed to mix billing I had questioned when did this change only to be told 'it's only $20' Well that wasn't my question. Happy to pay but no need to be rude. After my appointment with the Dr I had purposely went to the other Receptionist whom had apologised for the rudeness when I first arrived. Though it was not this Receptionist fault I thanked her for the apology. So Carmel thank you again.

The rudeness and incompetency of the staff and one of the doctors at this centre has forced us to cancel any future contact with them. The staff can certainly do with a much needed brush-up with customer service skills. After ringing four times and asking for a pathology form to be sent to us, not only was absolutely nothing done about it but they were extremely rude when questioned why this wasn't attended to with the first phone call. To top it off, the so called army doctor was just as belligerent and rude as his staff. It seems a copy of a document I said I would call in to pick up, would take up too much of his time to press a print button. I left the centre a year ago for the same reason. Now today, my husband has joined me where I now go for excellent medical service. I had to click on a 'star' before I was able to post this review. The truth is they aren't worth even 1 star.

Doctor refused to give me a referral for a specialist even though I told them 4 times the hospital said I need one.they had no reason to refuse was just being difficult.

This was an awesome doctors surgery, they bill billed, but suddenly they do not bill bill, it’s a shame because there are plenty of people who care not entitled to a concession card but affording medical care is still difficult

Hi, I had to have a emergency appointment early Monday which is the worst and hardest time to see a doc. My regular has a week off. My hip, thigh has troch bursa. Everytime I move i make a noise, the pain I can't explain. I would rather be giving birth to a 4 headed baby with some one poking my eyes out and have and all my fingers cut off separately than ever feel this again.
Perth radiological (who are also great just no availability) was 4th of November just use pain killers. I can't really take them unless it's after 9ishpm.
He gave me a referral to Western Radiological, I call immediately and bamn in for 11.30am for the next day. I am so grateful, the ladies at reception are all lovely and make you feel welcome.

I have seen 2 different doctors there and they both looked after me really well. Made me seem cared for. Very professional and knowledgeable. I live a long way in the city and still drive the distance to see this clinic. I have had problems at other clinics before but I keep coming back to this one as I feel looked after well.

Staff were friendly and my appointment was on time. This was my first time at the centre and I had a very good experience. Thank you.
