Merriwa Medical Centre

I love Merriwa Medical Centre, it has fabulous doctors, nurses and staff. It gives such a smooth experience having blood testing, skin checks, and other services I haven’t needed. The Chemist next door is also wonderful, I get my Webster packs done there. Thank you everyone and particularly Dr McChord.

Upon entering, the Receptionist undoubtedly were busy attending calls, but they are Courteous and Friendly with Greetings. At that time of my arrival the Ambiance of The Surgery was quiet.
I waited to be called in by Dr P. Calderbank, who always Greets me with a Smile and a Nod.
At his Desk, Like the Review of a lesson, who goes over the previous appointments &/or tests, with any correspondence or test applied by the hospital's and their results.
It is here we discuss any further treatment or medication.
When I first came in to the surgery some two and half years, I asked Gail, the then Receptions that I wanted to see a Good Doctor, her response being, " We have ALL Good doctors. I was assigned to Dr Mo. He was Diligent and a Caring Person to what I've knowing of.
When Mo left, do I stay or Go?
Then the idea came one night about a doctor at the Surgery, who from time to time " Calls Out"
I asked Libby who he was and his name.
" That's The One" was my Response.
Since, I've been Philip's Patient, he has been very, very attentive, caring and explaining the medical process &/or of my Well Being and the Body.

At Times, Philip I observe wants to do above and beyond his duties to me as a doctor, which I Appreciate Immensely
However, at times I would not like him to take on my Afflictions as I can see and know he tries his Utmost Efforts to contact different specialist whom I need to see.

In my 55 Years living in Australia, I know and have never seen a Medical Practioner as dedicated not Only to me but, to his Work and his Patients.
We get along Well like Good Friends, at the same Time knowing where to draw the Line.

I am Immensely Grateful and Thankful to that Doctor who" Calls Out" his Patients name.
However, a Note to Philip
" One can Only do so much" and What more can be done to a
Decrepetating Body such as Mine?
Which at times is stubborn and did is own thing?

Have only had positive experiences at this practice. The receptionist Amanda is very friendly and helpful. We usually see Dr Calderbank and he is always a gentleman, handles one with care and humour and is very thorough.

Dr visits are all too often an unpleasant exercise so it is nice to walk away from an appointment with positive experience.

Receptionist was polite and friendly.
The doctor that I saw was on time, professional and thorough.

Fantastic doctors and very friendly staff however I feel making all appointments after 3pm private is poor. Having to pay for children who are at school until this time is unfair and there should be a policy in place for this not to happen

My appointment was made unaware that any appointments after 4pm is private you pay out of pocket the staff just told me when I was there I told them to cancel the appointment because I can’t afford to pay that money and no one told me any appointments after 4 is private
All of the sudden I received a message that I owe them to pay the invoice.

I was really happy with my visit today to Merriwa Medical Centre.
Reception staff were lovely. The Dr apologised sincerely for the wait time.
Sometimes this can't be helped and it wasn't a problem or issue for me.

I have attended this medical centre several times and enjoy seeing the lovely professional staff there. My usual doctor was on holidays so I saw a different doctor who also had to unexpectedly accommodate another doctors patients at the last minute, i was very impressed with Dr Calderbank and would recommend this medical centre to anyone as you will be very well taken care of no matter what.

Surprisingly I didn't have to wait very long and the receptionist was very kind and had a lovely smile and the doctor was friendly and very understanding, thanks heaps, kindest regards Peter Woodward.

Staff and doctors are kind and welcoming however my partner and I waited an hour after the original appointment time on a day that wasn’t busy and it turned out to be because they hadn’t been checked in which we both found very frustrating

Relyable, helpful, understanding, capable family and mental health doctors that are have experience in a wide range of areas.
I have tried other practices as I don't live in the area they pale in comparison to this practice. Thankyou for all the help you have given my family and I

Yesterday I experienced by my first visit to your Centre and had my fourth covid vacciination. I was very impressed with the service. It was very efficient and friendly.

Just sees you on time, very through and caring Doctor I have been a patient at this clinic for 16years.

Very happy with Dr. Mahsa is very knowledgeable and professional. She listens patiently and provides the best options and medicines. Also, she discussing my problems via phone and sending the prescription to my nearest pharmacy. Very helpful

I was so happy to hear the way the recipiention lady spoke to each and everyone, either on the phone or people who come up to the counter for help, this lady was amazing with her presents of friendliest to all.
I told the doctor who I saw and let the recipiention lady know how lovely she was.

Receptionist staff very polite, cheerful & very helpfull this is my first visit
I new to this area & today finally found a Doctor Williamson who listen to me & I feel I will not be lost in the system I already have made another appointment so now extremely happy with this practice

Dr Williamson has addressed and resolved several major problems that others could not. Would not consider going to any other medical centre.

Lovely welcoming staff. Dr Calderbank is amazing with the kids, he examines thoroughly while entertaining them at the same time. Every doctor I have seen at Merriwa has taken time to listen to my concerns and give informed medical advice unlike previous practices where I felt anti-biotics or a trip to ED were the only advice.
