76Very spacious. Lots of different, cheaper varieties of fruits & veg, etc, better than Coles, Woolies & Aldi. Not clutter like a lot of other Asian grocery & veg stores. Wish there's another one south of river other than one in Armadale.
MCQ is always my place to go for groceries shopping. They sell imported food from many different countries and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended for those who are looking to shop for their groceries.
Beware! I bought 2 mangoes and when I went to the checkout 15 minutes later I was told that the price had gone up.
I was told that if I had gone to the checkout 10 minutes sooner I would have been charged the cheaper price. Prices should not be changed in the middle of the day, certainly not half way through my shopping. Isn't that illegal?
I was skeptical to check out Asian market as I am so used to Australian retails such as Coles or Wooly. MCQ offers great variety of food and grocery at much cheaper prices.
The queue is a bit long at check out but other than that, everything is great here.
Mcq is great for all of your needs for asian cuisine, from spices to noodles and everything you can possibly imagine. They have a great range of fresh produce and in general many things you need for the kitchen or fridge. Definitely a recommendation to visit them. Great place.
Produce and Price 4 stars
The behaviour and demeanour of the lady who served us might have been ok for the back street Markets of Saigon, but totally un-Australian and unacceptable. Very poor form.
Great variety of products not found in the usual supermarkets the place attracts a huge Asian clientele who know how to shop. Coventry Markets contains a very diverse shopping opportunities for people who are having to control the budget
Best shop for asian food, and fresh vegetable. The product are cheap and affordable, espically for international student who cook at home.
If only our major supermarkets carried the north asian range of foods that MCQ does. No wonder its such a popular place
Great choice of international products, very clean and easy to find products due to correct signage.
One of my favourite places for buying Asian groceries especially ramen noodles, steam buns, tofu, treats, drinks, etc. Fruit and vegetables are of good quality and good prices.
Very worst person in mcq the old security guy! The old man with no hair the security guy is very worst customer service. Very not kind to everyone. But MCQ shop is very good place! Only the security guy is not good service to everyone.
I regularly get lost in this place, outstanding variety of Asian groceries and a very large selection of fruit and vegetable including exotics. Good indicators for freshness and good value is a large proportion of customers are of Asian descent.
Terrible customer service we recieved, however it has a wide selection of Asian products. Just absolutely terrible customer service.
Always come here for our fresh fruit and vegetables as much cheaper than any supermarket out there of the major stores Prices are very reasonable too and everything is so fresh. Large store with plenty to choose from including normal grocery items as well. Always friendly with a smile. Store is located within the Coventry Village markets.
Resonabel supermarket fruit and veg is quite good there is no real meat section and limited bakery section too but its an Asian grocery store so it's quite good for that not as cheap as they used to be but still good fruit and veg are generally better than spud shed
Great quality produce at unbeatable prices plus a massive selection of speciality items. If you like cooking fresh or asian dishes, this should be your main shop. Even if you don't, can't say no to 3$ dozen free range eggs! Only thing to note is that they don't do fresh meat, though there's several butchers next door. I also wish they'd expand their range of imported ice-cream as it's currently tiny.
Very broad choice of things you'd never normally find anywhere else. Great chilli sauces and having the option to order fresh food is great.
Asian supermarket where the arrangement of products changes regularly. This can be confusing but it presents opportunities for discovering new items. Fruit and vegetables are typically fairly priced and new season produce arrives early. The check outs are too small but the staff mostly serve quickly. Would be better if it stayed open later.
