Matso's Broome Brewery reviews
75 We were looking forward going here on our holiday, a disappointment. Staff miserable, if management reads this you should have a chat with your staff, not a smile in sight.
On the upside drinks and chips were nice.
Shared a few dishes before heading to watch Stairway to the Moon, A lot of help with selection and friendly chat with Alex. Food came out quickly, hot and all dishes were great, best S&P Squid we have had. Staff regularly checked if we were OK, might be able to return for another meal before leaving, well done Alex
Amazing one-of-a-kind beers and ciders. A little weird that we had to sign waivers to take leftovers home though.
Lovely spot for a beer and lunch or dinner. Great location, good parking and reasonably good service. It is very often busy. The range of beers is great, and all very tasty. Recommend the ginger beer highly. Sit out under the trees and watch the sun go down.
Ordered trio cerviche, complained to wait staff there appeared to be only a duo not a trio. Haughty miss poked at 1cm piece on the plate indicating this was the missing part of the trio. However she insisted on having it returned to the kitchen and replaced. Replacement came out, laughably half the size of the first meal. Complained to the manager this was nasty if not spiteful. He slapped my money back in front of me. Sorry if it is all too stressful for them. Where is the owner in all of this? You need to be there.
We waited over 1 hour for our meal, and we think the order was lost. No apologies were given and we overheard the manager saying that "they just have to learn to be patient". Tables on either side arrived after us and were served well before us. The garlic bread could have been served much earlier while we waited.
Worst meal we ate in Broome.took over an hour for our food to come out, service was non-existent. I understand that CV19 dining restrictions & an influx of travellers for the Shinju Matsuri festival makes it busier & harder for staff, but I left feeling like there are better standards for food & service at the McDonalds.
Me and my work mates were pretty keen on an oyster night, so we went to matsos got in line and was told to come back in 30 minutes and that they would call me once table was ready. We returned in 45 mins to be told to wait another 45 minutes without even checking my name on the list. Its very obvious that the backpackers working there were letting there back packer mates in before us. We are in town working on upgrading telstras mobile network at the moment. We work away alot, and were more then happy to throw money around in the towns that we work at. Chicken treat got our money tonight, didn't get screwed around there.
Excellent views to the sea, beautiful food, wide range. You should try the mango beer it's delicious
I know most people come here for drinks, but I only tried the food. After a 45 - 50 minute wait and lack of communication from staff about the delay, the Trio Ceviche and Seafood Fettucine came. Presentation wise it was decent and portions were adequate.
Taste wise the Ceviche met expectations but was a bit heavy on the taste for what I imagined would be more delicate Japanese flavours.
As for the Seafood Fettucine it was generous in terms of the mussels and other assorted seafood. I found the strong tomato flavour great but as a whole the dish was too salty for my palate.
Don’t waste your money on the death wings unless you don’t mind paying $20 for 4 wings.yes, literally 4! The beers were good and my partner said the lamb ribs were good. Just beware of the quantity amount of chicken wings for a rip off price.
I wouldn't normally order a prawn curry but it is the absolute bomb. I've also had the other curries which are just amazing but the prawn curry was sensational. Thankyou also to Josh and the team who were very professional even when so busy. The new drinks on the menu were very good too.
My Mother taught me, that if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything.
The Ginger Beer was okay.
If I was not with Friends & Family, I would have asked the 'chef' to explain how my meal got past his/her 'decerning eye'.
Matso's Brewery experience was disappointing, saver by scintillating conversation with F&F.
Definitely worth visiting for a beer, don’t recommend food though, waiting an hour to get cold meal, meat very dry and service poor
