Mataya Eatery reviews
60Staff are lovely and coffee is pretty good. Food fell short. Açai bowl was very sweet. Eggs Benedict had sweet chilli sauce on the bread, a bit odd. Decor is very Canggu inspired.
Can’t believe I haven’t even reviewed this amazing cafe yet! I’m bloody there all the time hahah! Amazing quality food and service! Go and check it out for yourself.
Went here for a Saturday morning breakfast. Staff weee friendly and the menu had some great options. We sat outside on stools and a cool make-shift table.
We’re ordered a hollandaise croissant and a savoury crepe. Both were good serving sizes for the price. The croissant was delicious. The crepe was nice, but I felt it would have been better with some kind of sauce? There is a relish on the menu, but I didn’t order that.
The coffee was fantastic. Very good quality.
Such a lovely café! The strawberry fields pressed juice was absolutely delicious.the love açai bowls and eggs were cooked perfectly! Only thing i would say is they need more seating i was sat in the sun unfortunately as there was no other chairs but i believe manager who served me was so friendly and sweet! Thankyou
Beautiful cafe, great vibe, wholesome coffee and cute little gift shop inside. Bit of a hidden gem
Got there an hour before they were supposed to close and was told they could only do what’s in the cabinet not on the menu. Super hungry and walked across town to eat there. A warning in the website on what time they actually stop serving food would have been nice: (
Such a beautiful little spot! We had the waffles and french toast, would recommend. Coffee was also really good.
I returned the next day for the biscoff acai bowl - definitely one of the best acai bowls that I have had.
The girls who work there are friendly and service was great.
Service was very good but a banana milkshake they had difficulty with. Found it full of ice chips and not a lot of flavour. Maybe next time use ice cream & real banana.
Gluten free all the way or not you have allot of beautiful choices and the flavour is amazing a must try people?
A great little cafe! A good find, just back from the main Mandurah coffee strip, Mataya is well worth a visit!
We struggle to find places to eat that suits the whole family with my sister being lactose intolerant and I gluten intolerant, we were all very pleased with the food here it was super busy here but even so the food came out quite quickly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone it’s super cute, friendly staff and amazing food and drink accustomed to everyone
This used to be my go to for coffees and açai bowls and I was asked to do a paid trial and got offered the job. 3 months later they had completely ghosted me and I had never been paid for my time and efforts. Very disappointing.
Well worth it, and really good coffee. Bit of a hidden gem, but pity the kitchen doesn't open a bit longer.
Loved it! Coffee was delicious and so was the food. Every person was so lovely to talk too.
Great coffee and delicious cakes and goodies. All the staff so pleasant and helpful, highly recommend
Found this Cafe due to there open door policy. So pleased I did. Open to all. The staff were friendly and attentive, the coffee was excellent. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended
The team a Mataya are always smiling even when they are getting smashed, thanks for the great service
Lovely little Cafe, great food & service
The menu also caters to vegetarians & vegans!
Friendly staff. Great eats and drinks. Wheelchair access. Optional indoor/outdoor seating. Toilet. Lovely almond croissants.
