44 Two times in raw looks they doing favour for some people, last time participate in auction for jaguar XF, can’t put bid and called them so they reply if it’s happening car will be re enter in auction but it didn’t
And today bid for ford mondeo and I got email saying you are the highest bidder but didn’t get invoice so called again and they said car is sold to someone else
Can’t trust any more
Been trying to contact them for a week now and absolutely waste of time. Leave me on hold for hours and never return the call.they dont even reply to emails.very disappointing act of such a company!
We bought a car "impact damage, transmission issue supposedly" got the car it was missing the whole transmission itself. Very poor communication, poor service. It really sad to see what has become of this company.
It’s shameful that auction houses like this and pickles have decided to scam the general public in australia using covid as excuse to do auctions only online. Only in Australia such scam happens. You can’t see what you are buying anymore only if it’s salvage, shameful. The consumer authority is useless in this country also allowing such sharp practices to go on
Not recommended, once paid the invoice and time to collect your item, they start passing you to each other, and if you not collect your item same day they start charging you $100 per day
Been loyal customer from last 5 years but employee's atitude getting worst. Looks like don't want to work at all. 0% effort & customer service. I rang them 5 times to rectify just 1 discrepancy but staff hang up on me without listening properly each time.
Apparently, they want to show that they have too much work load or busy but not gonna reduce the work load if every single customer have to call you for 5 time just to ask for small thing.
Would have rated negative if possible
From a purchasing point of view maybe a great company. For those putting their vehicle up for sale it might be a different story. I suspect they may value your vehicle on how quickly that can turn it over. My vehicle was valued at 25% less than what I sold it for privately in two weeks. Also the initial fee quoted over the phone of $400 became $500 when I went in to show the vehicle. The sales rep waffled on about how they have buyers and contacts all over Australia giving the impression they could get you top dollar so on hearing what they estimated it would sell for was a tad deflating. They seem to work on quick turn over so for buying that may be good but you may lose money putting your vehicle in their auctions. Bottom line is they want to auction your vehicle at wholesale price so no different to selling it to a low ball dealer.
Staffs are really friendly and helped me a lot. I want to thank one tow truck driver with tattoos, who sent my car back to my house (Teutonia ct) today. He is very patient and explained to me how to solve problems. Very helpful
This auction is a rip-off.bid on a car and ended up having gearbox issues.when i talked to them they said they don't mention mechanical issues in the description.that's a shame! I bought the car for $20000 and now they don't seem to care! Will never bid in manheim again!
Cannot complain about the service, there isn't any by phone.
Website is a failure, not user friendly.
Compare the rest.they have a great team.some reveiws are negative but so are those people.highly recommend them
I bought a car at salvage auction that was advertised as an automatic, as I needed the transmission to fix another car. You can't inspect the cars before purchase (at the moment anyway). When it arrived, it was a manual. I enquired as to getting a refund, plus the cost of towing. I was offered a refund of the purchase price only, which was going to leave me $120 out of pocket for the towing. I would have thought they could tell the difference between an auto and a manual, but unfortunately not.
Bought a damaged car, wasn’t allowed to inspect, got the car and found engine had been swapped for a seized engine, supposed of been 50,000 km car, been emailing for three months and finally replied today with buyer beware, great company policies
I hope this place has got it's act together. Shocking treatment when I dealt with them some years back. Rating doesn't look too good being under 4
Purchased a Mazda from them and it all looked great.a week later noticed the air conditioning in the car wasnt coping to the heat.took it to a service center to get checked and they told us to take it back to Manheim as there was evidence of a ac leak previously being inspected as there was dye on the pipework.took it back immediately and we were shown legal T&C's that aircon issues doesnt come under the scope for return.
Hence the bad review as we have to pay nearly 1500 to get the evaporator replaced
No good service, No Response after sell car, No Honest, Lots of issues, No response after sell Car, Not good cars as Photos, Better dont Buy, Poor Dealer
Beurocratic mess. Phones not answered, after paying - the fax line (who uses faxes) that requests the proof of payment to be sent to doesnt get picked up. Cant view items prior (yet the rest of the wa state operates retail) - come on, seriously? - not a pleasant experience
When you buy at an Auction do your research or home work because you are taking a chance, sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you learn valuable lesson, Manheim are good to deal with
Great service and response to email.
Car purchased at a great price and delivery from COVID hotspot to home address at amazing price. Thanks to a great team service.
Prepare to be disappointed.
Around the end of May this year.placed a BIDNOW bid on a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe that was located in Melbourne that I wanted to buy for my wife. The auction ended and my bid of $10000 was marked as the winning bid. However I never recieved an confirmation email mentioning either a successful bid or a referral. Being a Friday I just thought I would recieve an email Monday. By Tuesday nothing. I phoned the Melbourne office and was told the car was run through the auction again on Saturday morning and sold to someone else and ‘sorry about that’. Nice!
I also Participated in a salvage vehicle BIDNOW auction on 27/7/20 I was the highest bidder for a 2007 Subaru Impreza. The auction time was extended several times allowing other bidders an opportunity which I’m happy with. The auction eventually ended and the lot was sold for $900 and was shown to match my bid of $900 live on the ‘bid dashboard’ (I was given no further opportunity to bid again nor given any advice of being outbid). The live information provided to me on the ‘bid dashboard’ was refreshed and accurate. At the end of the auction I phoned the perth office to enquire as to why the online bid platform had appeared to have made what I thought was an error. I was then advised that the lot had been sold to a ‘mystery bidder’who was hidden from the ‘my dashboard ‘and me. When I questioned this I was told it was sold to a ‘static bidder’ and static bidders get preference if auction ends and bids are equal. I have since the event researched the term ‘static bidder’ and the common definition includes the fact that a ‘static bidder can still be outbid and must also be the highest bidder to win an auction. Very unfair bidding practises, how can I bid against someone who is literally not even there? I wrote an email to Manheim requesting that the lot in question be held at their premises until such time I have sought legal advice and the matter be investigated. I also mentioned that I had filed a report with ACCC. However when I received a return follow upphone call I was told this won’t be happening and that what occurred was common practice. I was hopeful that upon investigation that this had simply been a human or technical error and I could come and collect the vehicle after payment of the agreed $900 plus fees. No chance in hell.after questioning the staff member and advising I don’t agree and don’t except their explanation I was threatened with my Manheim online account being suspended. Which they happily suspended today.
