We love Madalenas! The food is always amazing - so delicious and stunningly presented. Great wine list too! We always get the tasting menu (because it’s fantastic) & always leave extremely satisfied. We took my pregnant sister for her 30th birthday on the weekend & they were extremely accommodating & substituted all the things she couldn’t eat. We always have the best time & it’s definitely worth the drive from Scarborough to dine here.

What a great place for a date night. Only just started doing evenings.

BYOB, the tapas food was delicious

Parking was tricky, but found a space down the road a bit.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Prices were reasonable.

Lovely bistro, almost greek feel to it. Quite romantic even.

We attended a private function upstairs and I could find nothing to fault. Staff, service and most definitely food quality were all top notch. Chef Adam has penchant for creating unique flavour profiles by matching interesting ingredients that spoil the taste buds (we had appetisers - finger food)
Seafood appears the speciality here.

Had a lovely dinner here. We had the chefs selection and all 7 courses were delicious and our waitress gave us just the right amount of attention.

One of my new favourite places to eat, although it is slightly expensive but the quality of food is spot on. Ordered the leek (favourite dish), bbq mackerel, blue prawn (tiny and didn't taste very fresh), and pink snapper wings with xo sauce (specials of the day). Food was slow to come out, but I think we were supposed to enjoy the atmosphere with a glass of wine (and got too hungry).

Highly disappointed, bad service, left feeling hungry. When we arrived, we walked inside and we were told very abruptly to wait outside. There was a long wait before anyone came to take even a drink order and it wasn't very busy as it was 5pm on a Wednesday. Once we ordered drinks they took our drinks menu away so we could not order more. We ordered the chefs selection and the food was lovely but not enough, we left still feeling hungry. The best service was when the chef delivered our dessert. The most disappointing part of the experience was when the waiter served our mains, she knocked and spilt a whole glass of wine on my partner, she apologised but did not offer another glass of wine or didn’t take anything off the bill. Overall, the service was very poor and ruined the experience. I will not be recommending or returning in a hurry.

Got a range of dishes across the colds, hot and main plates and everything was perfect. It was difficult to pick a favourite. Great place if you do like seafood.

The Wine menu took my focus as it's a long one with almost all boutique wines, mostly Australian and French, some Italian, and a little from other regions. Beer offerings are decent too, although I didn't have a chance to order any.
The food menu was a short one with some interesting selections. We ordered the special of the day, which was a grilled cod. Unfortunately, the cod was overcooked, but the sauce compensated a little. The duck liver parfait was perfectly executed and presented with a fruit sauce infused into a small gelatine sheet. Again, unfortunately the toast that came with it was burnt. Nevertheless, we ordered some sourdough bread and that made the difference.
Service was excellent. The very honest and straightforward forward Connie was upfront about being understaffed on the evening, and when asked about a choice between 2 French Sauvignon Blanc admitted she hadn't tried one, and described the other well. All the staff were busy, but were reasonably attentive.
Might come back just to try out the other wines, and hopefully make a better choice on the food.

Great place for a cocktail. Good quality seafood and nibbles. Close to the beach, beautiful atmosphere.

The food was delicious, and the share menu was great. Personally love seafood, but if you don't would not recommend. Their menu consisted more around seafood. Good for date night to experience a few different dishes or chatting with family over a share meal.

My fav place! Good selection of local seafood and great ambience, good for both lunch and dinner!

The yummiest food, which was served at just the right pace, great live music, which was at the perfect volume, really lovely waitstaff, delicious wine, and kind lighting. Literally the perfect evening

Great seafood tapas. Every dish was amazing. Wine selection was spot on. Tried few different ones and all were great. Very friendly staff and great service. Recommend booking in advance. Preferred sitting inside instead of out.

We were celebrating a family birthday, we had the late sitting and a table for 8 and the 'feed me' menu. The food was delicious, and plentiful. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly, and we also enjoyed selecting from the fabulous wine list. The food came at a comfortable pace, and we didn't feel pressured.

Stand outs? The scallops were delicious; as was the parfait.

Sensational. Best night out I’ve had in over six months. The menu was exceptional and our waiter was amazing. I asked him about a $75 bottle of wine and he recommended me a $55 bottle which was much nicer. My new favourite

Plenty of delicious wine and beverage options

Ordered raviolo last night which is advertised as a main course. Its one piece of ravioli that's smaller than the palm of your hand. How can that be classed a main plate? Smallest serve I've had anywhere in my life and it cost $28! Total con. Should come with a warning or be listed as a starter not a main. Very disappointing and really slow service too. We had to order chips to fill us up. Not cool!

The food is great, the service is even better! Fantastic night out with friends in South Freo. Their recent addition upstairs with a more relaxed menu which includes cured meats and nibbles is the perfect place to end the night!
