Lo Quay River Cafe reviews
44This is our go to Cafe in sunny weather to soak up the scenery looking over the canning river and the atmosphere. They make the best coffee and turmeric latte with home made fresh cakes. Add the pleasant staff and delightful owner. What else do you want. Do your self a favour and visit Lo Quay.
Coffee is terrible, I’ve watched them use the same beans for multiple coffees on several occasions and they always taste burnt. Water tasted like soap one time as if they hadn’t rinsed the cup properly after washing it.
Friendly, multicultural staff. A really good strong and smooth coffee made exactly to my instructions (well done) and just a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the view. Nice crowd. Seagulls are very cheeky so protect your food.
Booked a table - they lost our reservation
Service is subpar at best
Only reason this place is the volume of people through the doors because of the location neither the food or service are worth effort to come here
Nice hot chocolate, very clean, view of the river, and bushland. Very pretty indeed, outdoor heaters, the smell of fresh bread heating up, very friendly and professional staff, clean toilets with toilet paper you can actually use, contemporary/chill out music playing.
Overall pretty great.
Really bad experience. Lady at the coffee counter was very rude and didnt have any patience to answer our questions about the food which was not labelled. Its really unfortunate that you go for a coffee on a beutiful rainy saturday morning and some one who spoil that day without any reason
What a delightful cafe. Food and service were very good and the view of the river from within the cafe or outside on the lawn was beautiful.a return visit is a certainty!
We did a long walk today and we really needed this, relaxing music and some nice coffee, smoothie and carrot cake with amazing lake views. This place is just great, customer service was also great, thank you so much, we will be back someday
Great company, beautiful autumn day in Perth overlooking the Swan and a lovely brunch. It doesn't get better than that. Coffee was perfect strength for a double shot. Crossiant was fresh and warm. My companions were also happy with their food, drinks and friendly service. We didn't have to wait long and the meals were served together.
No stairs is great for anyone with mobility issues and there are three ACROD bays. There was enough space inside for a walker and to park it out of the way.
Prices are very reasonable for that view. We chose inside for warmth but there are out door tables for those needing a dose of vitamin D during the colder weather.
I'll certainly be back.
Pleasant location with outlook onto the river. Staff were helpful and friendly. Casual dining placing orders at the counter. Food was good and I thought for once fairly priced for a restaurant. Children friendly as there is a small park adjoining the restaurant so they can go outside to expend excess energy. I suggest though that they must be able to swim as the park runs to the water's edge.
I'll go there again.
The location is nice, but it's quite busy on a Sunday for brunch with a 10 person line. The food looked nice but lacked any real flavour. The freshly squeezed juices were nice tho. Nothing here to make me come back.
Happy staff and good service, if you like your coffee strong, this is the place to go, I think the brand was Gesha on the aprons. A weak black we ordered wasn't weak but the waitperson did say "half shot" when serving it to us.
Really nice location and great service. Got our food order very quickly considering how busy it was. Nice coffee and very friendly service. Good job team!
I ordered a quich and English breakfast tea. The top of the quiche was burned and tasted bitter, I told the waitress and she called over her boss. He then proceeded to say nothing was wrong with it, that's just how it's cooked. I asked him if he wanted to taste it since it was that bitter and he walked away without answering and left me with the burned quiche!
It's ruined my morning time.
Food seems to be dry and over cooked not happy last couple of times coffee has a bitter taste also.
Very nice staff great coffee ideal spot for children lovely views of the river. Also very busy but not a long wait.
Very bad service! The man in the counter forgot my order (i paid already) People who order late than me, all got their drink. And he just told me my drink on the way even he forgot what i order. He doesn‘t admit he is wrong and not say sorry. He such a rubbish man.
Nice location on the river. (Why aren't there more cafes riverside?)
Can be very busy, especially at weekend breakfast time
Great location overlooking the Canning River with helpful and friendly staff.
Our service was quick with large servings.
Enjoyable place to sit and enjoy a meal or coffee
Love this this Cafe and the setting. Nestled in a beautiful location on the river, surrounded by the Riverton Park bushland.
Heaps of seating in the cafe, undercover and also outdoors.
Terrific menu, both food and beverage, for breakfast, morning tea and lunch.you can takeaway too!
Typically busy, however service is normally speedy and the staff are super friendly and helpful.
Oh, and if you have some Kids, there's a playground righ next to the Cafe.
You'll enjoy it all!
