The best meal we’ve eaten in a long time. Absolutely delicious. Beautiful, intimate atmosphere and friendly, prompt service. Highly recommend!

Went on a Thursday night and it was really nice, good drinks, food, service, relaxing while be directly below the normal hustle and bustle of St Georges Tce

Lovely place to hang out with family, friends or colleagues, lots of sitting area inside and outside the restaurant. Inside they have many separate and different sitting arrangements with dimming light and light music.

Lovely wine was served as per our choices. Food was also good but would have been better if they had more choices in vegetarian / vegan food.
We ordered roast root vegetables, stracciatella papita 5/5

Absolutely stunning food and wine, with attentive table service throughout the meal.

However, at 0915pm Saturday night we were told we were unable to view the dessert menu as they were closed. By 0930pm staff had closed the bar down and began cleaning up floors/tables around us. 0950pm the check was dropped on our table without it being requested and at 1000pm the EFTPOS machine was waved in our face without so much as a thanks for coming.
We'd not even finished our wine and there was no suggestion made for us to relocate to the wine bar.

Rude behaviour that completely ruined what would have been a perfect dining experience. Embarrassed I made the recommendation to eat here.

First time here and was so excited as the reviews I've come across have been great. Unfortunately my time here wasn't as positive. Ordered the chef selection with 6 dishes ($78 pp) with one other person and each dish we recieved (3/6 dishes in total) were of extremely small serving, designed only for one person rather than to share. 1 hour and 10 minutes later, we were still waiting on our 4th dish. We decided to wait for several more minutes but we were starting to be uncomfortable and hungry again, so nicely asked the manager if we were able to just pay for the 3 dishes we received and our one drink each. I got the bill and they had removed the cost of the two cocktails which I am grateful for, but strangely we still had to pay for the whole 6 plates which we never got (total ~ $156). We were told that the dishes normally take about 1.5 hours to come out, but in my experience they have never taken this long to arrive and have left us hungry looking for another place to go to.

Amazing Service from Staff! Delicious Food and Great Wine Choices. The front section is busy but its lovely and private in the dining section.

Had our work Christmas night out here - had an amazing night. Staff were all on the ball the full night - we never once had an empty glass. Food was all served together and everyone enjoyed theres. Cocktails were so good too.

Liked the atmosphere here, had a dining area and a separate bar area. Enjoyed the food particularly the pizza. Was a bit disappointed with the service, had to wait awhile to get served. Once seated offered still or sparking water, asked for still and found out when getting the bill the still water was 5$ each! Cost not mentioned when the water was offered and it was poured out of a refillable container - what am I paying for?

Umm well this wasn’t great! We were really excited after finding them recommended on Perths List of Italian restaurants and it was… well it tasted like I’d ordered Italian from a street cart in S. E. Asia.

The Tuscan Chicken was tasteless, arancini just tasted like table salt. Then for our mains we had the rigatoni which was actually Cannelloni pasta (any one else mind blown they used the wrong pasta in an Italian restaurant? !) which tasted just like tinned spaghetti although the sauce was much more watery. The Ghnocci was inedible after a few mouthfuls it was wayyy too salty (and I love salty, bold flavours) again watery sauce. There was no pepper in their Cacio e pepe? ! But that doesn’t matter because we couldn’t even finish the dish. We left super unsatisfied and feeling off due to the obvious way overuse of salt in an attempt to give the dishes some flavour.
The only good part was the wine and that wasn’t made in-house. Although we did get entertained when the waiter spilt it all over the table when pouring it and walked off.

All in all a poor attempt at Italian Cuisine and super disappointing. Ambience in the space is inauthentic and cold.

Would NOT recommend as it was a very expensive, super disappointing dining experience.

The last waiter who offered us dessert and then gave us the bill was lovely though shout out to you as your co workers that were taking care of us before hand could barely crack a smile or an ounce of warmth.

Good food and service, can be busy and noisy after work, but otherwise a great place to meet up in the city. The wine room on the side is great!

Had a lovely birthday dinner, kitchen were super accommodating to allergies. Service was great, my glass was never empty!

Really enjoyed our meal here, great atmosphere, friendly staff and prompt service! (We had an early evening reservation) The wine list is compehensive and my cocktails were delish. Well worth a visit!

From the bouncer to the beers, it was an experience. Bartenders were smug and unimpressed, bouncer was unnecessarily mysterious.

The staff were friendly and helpful with our order and the meals were great.
Located next to the Mary Street Bakery.
A good place to stir back and relax.

Worst dining experience in a while. Tasteless arancini. The seafood pasta was just bits of dried fish cut up in bite size pieces in very ordinary sauce - totally bland. Only good dish was the octopus. Would not recommend.

We've been here a number of times and returned on the 24th March for the first time since the start of covid. To be honest, it's simply not quite as good. Service was a bit hit and miss, I would think you should get served bread at the beginning of the il Capo and the overall serving quantity of the il Capo was quite disappointing. We will give it another go some day but was disappointed in general.

Very disappointed. Had read about this place on a few Perth lists, and liked the expansive ambience when we walked in. However all three of our dishes were underwhelming. The gnochhi was super oily, the mushroom and ox cheek ragu was heavy on the pasta and the lacked the richness of slow cooked ragu, the smoked risotto was bland, perhaps a bit undercooked. Noone came to check up on the dishes, and we ended up leaving without having the dessert we initially ordered. Only saving grace? Delicious coffees.

We had a lovely 6 course dinner and the staff were very friendly and approachable. The meals were very tasty.
