La Sosta

The food is a very good modern take on Italian cuisine. As good as you will get. The ravioli was divine. The setting is over a spacious two floors with balcony dining an option. The staff are young, gorgeous, friendly and efficient. This is one of my go-to restaurants when I visit Perth. Enjoy a rooftop sunset cocktail at the National Hotel before heading to La Sosta for dinner.

This was mine and my partner's regular Italian for a couple of years, but after a really bad experience last year, we held off coming back for a while. I came back a few nights ago with some family, and the food was good. The birthday cake that was made in-house, as well as the starters, were incredible, but the main course options were a little bland. One of our party has hearing difficulties, and as it is a very loud environment, this made it much harder to communicate too. It was a very hot night, but a nice evening on the whole.

Rolled in on Saturday evening 6pm without a reservation and managed to secure a table for 4.

The staff were super friendly and happy to accommodate given it was probably the busiest time of the week.

The waitress was very helpful and made some good suggestions.

The entrees came out promptly and they were all tasty.

The mains were all delicious.

The atmosphere there is great, will definitely be back.

A little bit pricier than the average restaurant but happy to pay for the service.

I have not been so completely satisfied with a meal/restaurant for so long
Being so disappointed with La Madonna Nera just last week, I just have to leave a good review for La Sosta, Fremantle for such authentic Italian food, amazing ambience and top-notch customer service.
We had 1 entree-sized pasta each, shared a main porchetta and a dessert each. Everything was perfect we couldn’t fault anything. The waiters were so knowledgeable and friendly and we didn’t feel rushed nor neglected on a fully booked Saturday night.

It was a great experience, firstly beautiful restaurant to be, nice options for food, excellent service despite they are busy, tasty food… I really liked the whole experience and strongly recommend.

Nah didn't think it was worth the hype. Food lacked seasoning, Gnocchi overcooked (too soft), portions too small for the price. Too dark, too noisy. Service very attentive though. Cocktail was nice though.

Managed to get a table for 2 on a busy Saturday night and it was well worth it! Authentic Italian restaurant with great food! Especially the Pappardelle al ragu di agnello e tartufo is outstanding! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Fabulous food. Staff were knowledgeable and super friendly despite it being a full restaurant on a very, very busy New Years Eve. Service businesses that understand good customer service deserve a good review. Highly recommended.

I visited this Italian restaurant a few months ago and it was quite nice so I visited again last weekend.
However, the food wasn’t delicious
Especially the ravioli was terribly salted
I did not complaint about it because I guessed I don’t come this restaurant again

A big shoutout to La Sosta Fremantle for a fabulous night! We dine out in Perth often and every steak we order is always average. The Tuscan steak here was standout alongside the fabulous service, atmosphere and attention to detail we got to observe from the kitchen as they plated up so many delicious dishes! Highly recommend and will most definitely be coming back! Perfection!

We waited for 20 mins for our drinks until finally our main was placed in front of us and we requested they see where our drinks were… 2 mins later they turned up.
It wasn’t that busy we were the only couple sitting outside when we first arrived just after 6.

The food on the other hand was excellent - 5 stars, I’d still recommend this place if you’re seeking out some well above average Italian!

Great service, food was good and francesco is the greatest of all time, make sure you keep him for as long as you can!

Fine dining Italian cuisine at its best. A little noisy, but still well worth the visit if you're looking for something different. Keep up the great work Matteo and all staff.

Amazing meal. The lamb shoulder was an absolute treat with the sauce making the dish! Special occasion restaurant but I will be back!

Absolutely love this place. We come back every couple of months. I hope they bring back the Ravioli di Maiale. Until then, here is the Perth Yum Hunters favourites from their current menu:
Focaccia is light, soft and just delicious
Ravioli Ai Porcini, delightful mushroom pasta
Pappardelle Al Ragu, a very hearty lamb pasta
Ossobuco, delicate veal on a bed of saffron risotto.

We paired it all with a Primitivo from Puglia that certainly hit the spot!

Finish with the Tiramisu or Millefoglie and Long Macchiato.

The Staff are so welcoming and wonderful. Thank you so much. Such a lovely little hidden gem.

Amazing food, especially the pastas and Italian service like you were in Italy.our favourite is the lasagnolo with prawn e pistachio pesto! The squid ink linguini with crab was special too. Bravo

Entrees were ok (sardines and the patè) but the pasta and dessert were great! Atmosphere, service and decor were just wonderful.

Was a little disappointed in the service as we waited a while for our mains. We were actually offered the dessert menu before receiving mains. The pasta was quite salty as well. It’s a nice restaurant but I expected a bit more for the price.

Menu selections are extremely limited. Service is below standard, although they have sufficient staff members, but very very disorganized. Ordered a drink and they totally forgot about it.

Party of six on a busy Saturday night. Food and drinks served quickly no errors and the food was fantastic. The best restaurant I have visited for a long time. Friendly and very professional. Will definitely be back!
