Koko Black reviews
60 Absolutely gorgeous staff. Went there to buy 3 festive gift boxes. They helped me so much with what to choose and even tied lovely ribbons around every box. Had only 5 mins left for COB. But no rush at all. Gave me 3 beautiful bags as well. This is customer service at its best!
I’m going to spread the good word girls!
Keep up the good work you’re doing!
Lovely staff and lovely hot chocolate! They took good care of us even during lunch rush! Will come back again when I'm in the area
Have Amazing selection of everything chocolate.food selection has become minimal, which is unfortunate as it used to be one of my favourites for tea or snacks. However, I still love their amazing chocolate selection.
Like the ice chocolate
After the city closed, I thought I would never be able to eat again, but I didn't expect there to be one here, with a beautiful environment, and it's very good to have a drink after shopping. The waiters are also very enthusiastic, suitable for bringing children.
Visited for the very first time on Friday, 1 Sep to browse for a father's day gift. Have not even tried the chocolate yet and did not have enough time for a drink at the cafe but giving 5 star rating for the visual delectable variety offered and most importantly, the excellent customer service by Amelia. She did everything well from greeting and offering to assist me, and after a few minutes of browsing she promoted a few items as she had observed that I was in careful consideration. Yes, I couldn't decide as there were too many choices! A while later she again promoted another item and offered to let me have a taste to help in my decision making. She did it so politely and so subtly, she was being an excellent sales promoter and I knew if I stayed longer I would buy more! I wouldn't put it down entirely to staff training because how she served me was definitely beyond what books and training can give. She has a flair for customer service and I hope the organisation knows it. She's a keeper! I will be back to dine at the cafe.
Horrible experience at kokoblack at Claremont. Two plates of savoury pies were cold. And when told to reheat them, the face of the staff was black. After heating up, they turned soggy. Very unappetizing. Kokobkack has definitely gone down the drain. Lack of customer service and care
What happened to the Koko Black pre-covid?: (So sad the one in CBD had to close.
The selection of desserts… all gone. Menu was really limited.
The waiting time for my affogato and muffin took 20mins+ and the muffin wasnt even heated up. It’s odd to have a savoury muffin served cold.
Visited yesterday with an elderly friend
On arrival I asked if we could sit inside as my friend is unable to hear well outside where it’s noisy
I was told by an obviously irritated man that he’d open that section at 11am when he had enough staff and no we can’t sit there.
It was 10.56!
He could have been polite and suggest we take a seat and they’d be with us in 4 mins but his attitude made us feel like we were a real nuisance
There are plenty of other coffee places
I won’t be back
So disappointed after all the years of going there
Disappointing to see a sad looking cake cabinet this afternoon, what happened to that wonderful selection you once had, please bring back the salted caramel delice, raspberry chocolate dome.
I really like the coffee here but I wish staff would be more attentive. I asked for extra froth but didn't get it. Also my coffee wasn't hot enough. This seems to happen with a lot of cafe's. I do not know why they think people want luke warm coffee.
The chocolate is Devine no issues there
Customer service has really declined in the past 2 years. Staff are rude and don’t even look up at you. It’s such a shame I used to love having tea and lamingtons there every Sat afternoon with my family. Now I just don’t even bother going in for the chocolate anymore.
Always went to this Cafe - customer service in not inviting, will be changing venues, everything appears too hard. Coffee still nice, more smiles needed!
Extremely Rude customer service buying $50 chocolates this morning! Found nicer chocolate at the store across from the bracket in the same complex.
Best chocolate in Perth. Shame it's made in another state. We need a chocolate manufacturer in Western Australia.
Staff have a sense of humor so when you come in with a desperate need for a pick-me- up you will leave feeling uplifted. The store is always humming; that has to tell you that something good is going on inside, right?
Not only do Koko Black have quality coffee and chocolate there customer service is spot on. Particular mention of the Shop manager who is not only polite and friendly but is an expert in delivering true quality customer service. Even though they are short staffed the level of service never falters. Big Pat on the back to all the staff.
10/10.
Decent Choco place to go to if you're in Claremont Quarter. We ordered Hot Choco Affogato and Belgian Hot Choco with side chocolate. Pretty good for a quick dessert or just chilling during rain to enjoy some hot chocolate. They have a good range of chocolates in store for you to buy too. Overall is pretty decent place to get anything Chocolate
Received a box of Koko Black chocolates for mothers day. I’m sure they were expensive as my boys know I love very good chocolates. Sadly these were NOT quality chocolates. I feel annoyed they wasted their hard earned cash on these chocolates. They were not glossy, like all good chocolates, far too thick and did not melt like butter on the tongue. They did not taste particularly nice either, the fillings being difficult to define. My boys couldn’t remember what they selected, except a couple of obvious ones, but the rest all tasted much the same, ordinary. The honey one was extremely floral, like cheap perfume, could have been very nice if they had of used Jarrah honey, for example. The salted caramel was way way too salty, with a big sprinkle of salt on the top, just awful. The chilli chocolate was a lot more spicy than what you would imagine it should be, I like chilli, but it really did not have any flavour, just heat. Very disappointing, it shouldn’t be that hard to make good chocolates, which these were not, sadly.
What a fantastic place to have a coffee with a delicious chocolate.
It was my first time here and I loved it. The coffee was well made and the assortment of chocolates was mind blowing.
You can have cake, slices, ice cream or chocolate truffles. They have beautiful gift packs for sale around the shop to suit every occasion.
The staff are so professional and polite. They should all be commended for their top quality customer service.
Will definitely return to enjoy more chocolate.
Brownie was really good, but the coffee qnd hot chocolate is pretty inconsistent, was very bland and not enough belgian chocolate.
