Kendenup Cottages and Lodge

Kendenup is a land devoid of food. Tom sells the essentials: booze & smokes (thanks Tom). But this land is devoid of food! 10 mins out of town, a little restaurant awaits, hiding in the bush. Blink, but you don’t want to miss it. There is FOOD here. GOOD food! But only on Fri & Sat night!

Great weekend away with friends, stayed in the blue cottage with amazing views of the mountains. Rooms are abit dated but superbly clean, with everything you need, beds were comfy and bed linen was divine Food in the restaurant was delicious. Thanks to the new owners Rhonda and Tom for a fab time, we will be back

The new owners are very friendly and approachable. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant. I would highly recommend staying here at the lodge for it has sensational views, peaceful environment, relaxed country interior with an amazing wood fire! I'm really looking forward to coming back next year

Excellent place to stay for our Bluff Knoll hike. Love the ambience, serenity, kitchen, lounge, super hospitable staff and owners.

Most of all, the restaurant is open on Fri and Sat, but you can pre-order for other days - Subject to agreement between you and the owner. The sirloin steaks, chips, salads, veg tarts and many other foods are of very high quality with good price.

Highly recommended and one the best places we've ever stayed!

Very dissappointing. Bbq and pizza oven unusable. Restaurant not open. Towels rank with mildew. Our chalet was full of mosquitoes and there was no spray and no where to buy anything until the next day. No view of the Stirling ranges - just a shed. Seems like it was a nice place once.

Kendenup cottages and lodge is off-the-beaten-track. It is located in a rural setting with quiet surroundings. The facilities are rustic in appearance but very modern and comfortable inside. Your hosts are friendly and welcoming and enjoy a good chat. In the evenings a number of locals pop into the restaurant for a drink or a meal. The rooms in the lodge are spacious and comfortable. If you're looking for a quiet getaway this is an ideal place.

Fabulous stay at the green cottage - gorgeous to sit on verandah and look out at the mountains. Well stocked kitchen, wood already chopped ready to start a fire, comfortable beds and sofas, friendly staff at restaurant, good food. Good base to hike in the Stirling Ranges. Thanks for a great stay.

Haven't stayed here but as we live not far away have tried the food a few times. Food is good and not expensive, service is pretty quick and staff friendly.
Location is great, with Stirling Ranges as short drive away, and all the other things the Plantagenet area has to offer. Easy access to Albany and Denmark too.

Amazing place to enjoy a calm stay. If you are hiking around Stirling Ranges, perfect option. Friendly staff and cozy, clean rooms with all you need on a vacation.

Food was amazing! I had the surf and turf and couldn't fault it. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

A great country break away from the City or just your everyday grind.
A really friendly atmosphere and right on the the foothills of the Sterling Rangers with great views of them as well.
The restaurant is open Friday and Saturday nights and has huge meals at a great price.

Lovely country experience. The accommodation was perfect, lovely views off the verandah in the morning. Meal was outstanding, staff were very frirndly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic place to stay, the blue cabin was very comfortable, extremely friendly owners who are helpful and great to chat with. Next time I’m in The area I’d be sure to came and stay again.

The restaurant was pleasant. The food was great and the staff are very friendly. We did wait 40mins for our meal but we also sat down just as the kitchen was closing.

Honestly, I booked the cottages as a last resort. I tried to find accommodation just before Australia Day weekend and this was the only thing available in the region. The rooms are average, at best. Shared kitchen area so no room fridge. No power points near the beds. No hand soap in the bathroom. I couldn’t find any board games but plenty of old books. Walls are a bit thin. We could hear people coming and going, doors slamming, etc. Wifi works well. No breakfast. I asked about it and the manager said they use too. Location of cottages is a bit far from everything. Not ideal for doing days trips in the South West. It’s 50mins to Albany. Fine if you didn’t want to tour around but not much to do at the grounds. No swimming pool or activities.

The restaurant for dinner was wonderful and the staff were really friendly but I wouldn’t stay here again.

I had the best Pizza i have had in a very long time.

Shockingly uncleaned and poorly kept green cottage. The owners need to rethink their approach to house keeping. Particularly in the times of COVID.

The house keeper was kind enough to come by and even brought his own speakers since the cottage’s ones were broken.

Todd and Jane were wonderful to us 3 travelling ladies! Made sure we were looked after, warm and very comfortable during our short stay. A fantastic base with beautiful views of the Porongarups. Great knowledge of surrounding areas

It's a very quiet place to stay with.got a shared kitchen, fridge, minimal cookwares. It's not a luxury one but I'm happy we only need place to sleep night time
