The Interior of family blue cabin was spacious and quite well appointed for the price.

Only let down was the cleanliness and overall appearance of outside was not up to scratch - the verandah was covered in dust, weeds and bird poo (including all over the dated exterior furniture). Which should be a nice space to sit and relax to take in the views.

Also the communal bbq area was in terrible condition.

These factors could literally be fixed within a few hours and minimal expense - but unfortunately just let the whole experience down. Otherwise would of been 5 stars.

Very quiet except for the birds which is quite pleasant. Spacious room, clean and tidy. Friendly down to earth staff. Loved my stay there.

Place was fantastic. We had a room in the lodge. Restaurant meals were great, host and staff all very nice! Rooms well equipped, and the shared spaces are great (fire place, lots of couches, well equipped kitchen). Grounds are lovely too. Would happily stay again.

Great getaway location. Very clean, comfy beds, kitchen facilities. Can handle large or small groups.
The restaurant food was great quality and served with solid timing despite there being 19 of us in the group.

Beautiful peaceful location with a dog friendly studio cabin that has its own enclosed yard! Everything I needed for a comfortable 4 night stay. Easy drive to the Porongurups or Stirling ranges. Restaurant at the lodge open for dinner on Friday & Saturday nights.

Beautiful spot, probably best for a group getaway in the lodge. Well appointed rooms and facilities, comfortable beds.

Highly recommend for a country escape. Very comfortable rooms in the main lodge & the most gorgeous rustic little restaurant where you can enjoy a drink & lovely dinner. There was something special about being out in the country with access to a restaurant.
Very friendly, helpful staff & Rhonda the owner was very accommodating with our last minute booking.
We’ll definitely be going back.

We had a comfortable stay here in the Bush hut, which allowed us to bring along our dog. Thanks for being so understanding when our dog chewed part of your fence screen. Of course I offered and was happy to pay for damage my pooch caused.

Myself wife and family friend stayed in the Green house very nice.both rooms have queen size bed and single.loungeroom area really gives you that country home style feel.
Great price for value got it spot on for pricing. Fire place brings that Country feel
Customer Service is beyond 5 stars should have 10 star option. This place is under new ownership and they have done amazing things to the area and views from our chosen accommodation pretty amazing also.
Would highly recommend this place for relaxing peaceful holiday. Home away from home.
Food is 110% A Grade 10 star I would go as far to say Michelin star worthy and great atmosphere Family Friendly and designed for all occasions. If your travelling to Mt Barker then you can't go past this place if you do then your missing out on the best experience of your life.

Had a fantastic 5 night stay in THE BUSH HUT, it was so quiet and peaceful exactly what we needed to unwind, with great views. Rhonda and staff were very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed a lovely dinner on Saturday night and an amazing Sunday morning breakfast in the restaurant.

A true home away from home situated in the bush and near enough to a lot of places to visit. Can't wait to go again.

Good spot for our adventure climbing Mt Toolbrunup. Underestimated the hike and took longer to reach back then expected. Owner was very accomodating with the late checkout.

Had dinner here the night before. Was yum! Staff was very friendly!

Just spent one night here in the lobby rooms. All is kept very clean and provided with many soaps, towels ect. Owner was extremely friendly. Strong wifi and great common room and kitchen. Was a perfect overnight stay for going to Bluff Knoll the following morning

Disappointing. I'd say this cottage is good for a trip to Bluff Knoll and plus it is a kind of REMOTE AREA. We were a party of five families who rented 3 cottages and 3 lobby rooms, one of which was designated as a gathering area for families. On to the point, the customer service was awful because the lady in charge was very rude to us because our checkout was 15- 30 minutes late. While we were getting ready to leave, she walked in without warning and began stripping up the linens and towels. And I know this might be frustrating towards the staff because there might be other customers waiting, but you could've warned us we taking too long. Furthermore, we were not provided with cleaning supplies (scrubs, dishwashing soaps, etc.) for the cottages, and one of the lobbies had a water blockage and spiders in the bathroom. They use lamps that don't function and some that are broken to decorate their rooms. There was no adequate light in the green cottage. The website claims to offer free WiFi, however only the lobby has it, and the cottages have no signal at all. This cottage is good in terms of their location and is great for 1 night stay.

Nice quiet place to stay. Stayed a couple of times. Will stay again. Clean rooms, good shared kitchen.

Horrible customer service by the owner (the lady) so rude and arrogant to the customers in front of little kids for the checkout for 10 am been delayed by 10-15 mins. Can totally understand they have other customers coming in. But there is something called “manners” not raging via the doors esp with little kids inside and shouting to the cleaner “ STRIP THE SHEETS”. Been to a lot of places but never dealt with something like this ever!
We came in as a group of 4 families and did book 4 cottages, the owner when she came in the morning for the checkout, questioned as how many people were living in this cottage (we did choose one cottage to gather together for having food and went to own cottages for night). As being the owner of the cottage she should know that we have booked for 4 families and when coming together with friends we normally would gather in a house for food and there was no need to question how many people lived in the house.
Also try to include some basic amenities when advertising cottages for holidays. NO dishwashing liquid, no dish scrubber, had 1 kitchen cloth for the 4 cottages for 3 nights, also the showers and sinks were getting constantly blocked in one of the cottage. Unable to use the bbq, looked very unclean and looked like hasn’t been used or cleaned for a long time, shockingly unclean couch covers with dried up grease and dirt. No Wi-Fi in the cottages (but advertised as having free Wi-Fi). No warning about the mosquitoes? Especially when coming with little kids. Would never recommend this place or will never choose to stay in these cottages ever!
