Kelvale Medical Group reviews
36Came in for a medical, was told by staff multiple times what the price was for the service I was requesting, when I got to the counter they significantly increased the price with no explanation as to why as they already knew what service I required when I was quoted a price. Will never return to this clinic and would highly recommend you dont use them. Staff are rude and the manager is unreasonable.
I saw Dr Leif Thonnell, was v happy with the visit.
One very annoying and easily fixable issue was that we had an appointment for 8.10 - early morning as we have to be at work, we waited half an hour whilst the doctor was talking to a medical rep - how about the medical reps book appointments so the patients don’t have to wait?
If I could give them 0stars I would.this is the worst doctor practice I’ve ever been too… the doctors refuse my medication that I needed and had a specialist letter that I could have the medication and then refuse to do my partners medical for work.this doctor practice is disrespectful and unprofessional…. And I will never recommend this disrespectful and unprofessional doctor practice to anyone.
Best Pathology service! Denise is an amazing phlebotomist, not only is her professionalism outstanding, her demeanour is extremely kind and caring. Won't go anywhere else.
This is an amazing place. Dr Leif Thonell is one of the best drs I have seen in my 68 years. He is patient knowledgeable and professional. He has diagnosed things for me that others have overlooked. Thank you so much Kelvale Medical Kelmscott for being here and having such amazing front of surgery staff, nurses and doctors.
Very pleased with the services I have received from Kelvale Medical Group. Reception have always been kind and accomodating which I imagine would be hard dealing with difficult, whining patients all day. Doctors Sri, Arshad and Skellern have all been very professional and respectful when I have had an appointment with them. Nurses the same. Let’s face it majority practices these days aren’t bulkbilling but that’s on Medicare and I don’t mind paying the gap payment when the services deserve it. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend kelvale.
Never polite and always rushed. Spoken to like you are simple, one doctor told my partner she would have to remove her birthcontrol, the next week a doctor looked at the same scans and said it was fine? Need to work it out. Seek help elsewhere
No communication between reception and doctors, waited there 1 hour for seeing a GP, and he refused to sign a document because of first consultation, reception didn’t know anything about procedures. Customer service is very poor not recommended
Great receptionists and great doctors, they really show their concern, considering they're dealing with sick and sometimes wining patients all day long, I take my hat off to you all. Keep up the great work and keep those smiles coming.
I have today taken my 13yo granddaughter to kelvale and they no longer bulk bill kids even if they have health care cards. Cost after Medicare was over $40. Not very happy
Dr Adrian Jameson, soft speaking and do listens and spends the time with me explaining my problems. I highly recommend him.
Doctors are great, reception staff have continuously stuffed me around. Changed appointments without notifying me. Booked little ones 8 week check up and immunisations only to get there and they only booked the check up so had to wait another 2 weeks for her immunisations.
They booked appointment for little one's 4 month immunisations a day before she turned 4 months, called me on the day of to cancel (had been booked over a month in advance).
Very poor greeting skills when answering incoming calls A polite "Good morning can I help? " is a basic requisite. A friendly tone of voice and helpful attitude also helps when dealing with the public. My experience was very disappinting and my inquiry left unresolved.
I live near the city, though I will drive just to book in with Doctor Hults. He was the most considerate, understanding person and he just made everything so easy. I’ve found it so hard to find a good doctor that you trust in vulnerable moments. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend him to everyone, is because I’d then never get an appointment when I need it.
Attend the surgery today to get my 1st covid vac. Was given a form to fill in my reception that had the normal questions. And some were in reference to any anaphylaxis history with medication, I had stated yes in the past. Dr called me in for the vac. I tried to explain to him my history. He didn't even read the form. Just said your in the right aged group. And then jabbed me and told me to sit outside waiting room for 15mins.now you would think that these forms would be actually looked at by a Dr. You would also think that a Dr listened to what your saying to him. Not to be treated like another number. Very unprofessional.
Im aboriginal and im on the closing the gap programme and have been for 2 decades, i have seen 4 amazing drs there, colin stevens, he delivered me, peter lim, samual blaxall and robert perry, after 20 years of bulk billing ive been knocked back, most of the drs have left now as i have i will never ever set foot into that place agin and thet dr thonielle well theres a reason why anyone can get in to see him at any time, hopeless.kris baily
I'm writing a review in regards to Dr Adrian Jameson.
I was recommended to see him to get a second opinion while waiting for an appointment to come in the mail as I was stressing a little bit. I'm glad I did as he took the time to explain every single bit of my referral letter which my other doctor didn't hens why I was stressing. There is a bit of a wait time but you can call prior to your appointment to see if you should come in later, the wait time is because he actually spends the time with his patients explaining things and going through everything very thoroughly.
Went in after very serious elbow injury that is stopping me from sleeping and everything. Asked for a script for some pain killers that will actually work while I sleep and was sent out with a script for over the counter ibuprofen which to be honest doesn't work. I feel they are trying to make money off the bulk billing consultation without actually helping anybody!
Make an appointment at particular time. Still need to wait one hour for that. What's the point in making appointment? Better time management may need
My wife went to a doctor here as blood tests she was severely insulin resistant, indicating she may be diabetic. He told her she didn't need treatment, just lose weight. Sadly, insulin resistance makes that difficult.
He also stated she was fine to go back to work despite displaying severe symptoms of the flu which our daughter recently tested positive to. He took her mask off and threw it in the bin counter to health department directives.
He initially refused to print out the results of her testing.
There are some good doctors here, but the bad ones are horrific.
