Kate's Place

Having been in Albany for a week now, we decided to try kates place on our last day, had a chicken panini which was ok, but the coffee was the best we've had all week and the vanilla slice was to die for

Food and coffee ok, but $20 meals had about $10 worth of food on the plate. Fatoush salad in particular was just a bit of iceberg lettuce and some dressing. Nowhere near worth the $20!

Beaut coffee, food looked/smelled delicious. Gallery at the rear with seating for a quiet coffee, great artworks.

Great atmosphere and staff, however the coffee was not good. We went on two occasions for coffee as they have excellent opening hours, but both times the coffee was not made well. The food, including the potato cakes and avacado smash, were quite good.

Tolles kleines gemütliches Cafe. Hier kann man gemütlich auf einer Couch oder im Sessel sitzen und bei einem Kaffee aufs Wasser schauen. Kaffee war gut.

Very friendly service with a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast avo bruschetta was very tasty. Coffee was very nice. Just over $20, which is more than fair locally.

Carrot cake is nice, but not as good as the (unavailable) vanilla slice. Good coffee and service, love it when the guys are doing table service as they are really lovely and good fun. The selection of cakes could be improved. Casual ambience and some cosy sofas.

The food was really great, the potato cakes were far better than i imagined! The staff were so lovely, the barista accidentally mixed up the milk for my coffee (I'm anaphylactic to almonds and i got almond milk), they were so wonderful about the whole mix up and gave us an entire refund for their mistake. Never had such accommodating service.

Decent coffee and food, relaxed bohemian vibe and open good hours (eg after work, Sundays) when other cafes are closed.
