Kate's Place

Awesome drinks and atmosphere, Kate's place is a must visit if you are in Albany, W. A and love coffee, tea and cute cafes.

This cafe has a lovely feel and I am sure has some nice food. But we went here for coffee based on some reviews that said it was good. It wasn't. As soon as I walked in and saw the coffee machine I knew we had made a mistake.

We got takeaway coffee and unfortunately it ended up in the first bin we walked past. I am sorry to say it was the worst coffee we had down south.

If you know coffee, and need the coffee to be good to enjoy it, I would try elsewhere. (My reviews have a few places)

Excellent service, excellent breakfast, great coffee, friendly staff.
1st trip to Albany in years, Sunday morning, not many places open for breakfast, we stumbled across Kate's place, so happy we did.

Cozy Cafe. We enjoyed our hot beverages and delicious warmed friands with
cream. Friendly ambience.

Stopped in for brekkie and ordered what we thought would be a pretty standard bacon & egg meal, but the cooks took the standard scrambled egg and created a very tasty meal. Nothing fancy, no messing about, just the tastiest bacon and eggs I've had out in years.

Really great feed! It shows the calibre of a place when they treat the basics as well as they did here.:)

Lots of promise may have just been and off service, apparently it was good a couple years ago. Wouldn't say it is bad just a bit eh

Great coffee, great food. The only negative thing about this place is the entrance door. It is not self closing, so it is always very windy if you sit close to the entrance. But otherwise great place.

Hands down the best cafe in town. My partner and I have come here every Sunday religiously for the past year or so and have never had a bad experience with food nor staff. Highly recommend! Free wifi and affordable tasty meals.

Came in early this morning, Croissants were fantastic along with the quiche.
And your coffee was brilliant.
Will be back next time

They had the fire roaring which filled the front of house with smoke. Front of house staff were not rude per say, but not a friendly as other cafes nearby. Coffee wasn't great. Kitchen staff are probably the best thing about this place as all 4 of our meals were amazing.

Lovely staff serving me an average coffee and the worst “burger” I’ve ever had to pay money for. Honestly flavourless and inedible, wouldn’t have even known how to approach staff about it.

I have eaten here quite a lot over the years though and have definitely had good things on different menus, I’ll just keep in mind not to order any chicken burgers for the time being

This cafe is amazing and very quirky with fresh delicious foods.went over and beyond to feed us today.super impressed

While the front part of the Cafe was small, out the back in the gallery were couches and large tables, plus some toys for toddlers. This was a great space for family or larger groups. The chocolate brownie was loved by the kids while the carrier cake was also yummy. A great place to visit especially when it is raining.

There is no cosier Cafe in Albany. The food is top notch and the coffee is the best in the region. I went there on the first day of a three day work trip and went back every day for the coffee. The breakfasts are great and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Kate's Place.

Good coffee and plenty of room. Kitchen closes at 2pm. Seems to be a good selection of cakes and snacks. Service if friendly and energetic.

Cosy with a nice wood fire. Good food and very friendly and helpful staff. I just love the soft couches!

Great food and coffee! No chance of getting a picture of our breakfast this morning it got eaten too quickly! We decided to share a vanilla slice between ourselves which was also amazing!

Very busy, but we'll organised, didn't take long for coffees and breakfast to appear. Both ok which were quite good

Average food. Ordered the smashed avo, poached eggs were hard boiled, avo was bruised, mint was soggy. Lovely people but food was not good
