Jaspers Pemberton reviews
63Wonderful experience at Jaspers on a recent weekend in Pemberton. Fantastic food, attentive and friendly service and a great drinks list. Will be back for sure.
Rode into Pemberton on the Munda Biddi and in need of a great, healthy meal. ‘Grace’ was a wonderful hostess and offered us seats at the bar. Whilst we totally indulged in the amazing food Jaspers had to offer, Grace was a delight to interact with and amazing to watch as she mixed cocktails with obvious knowledge and precision.
Thanks again Jaspers.
From ‘two ice blocks’ Jake.
Have to call out the amazing cocktails these guys make, ordered a whisky sour and the presentation of the drink was perfect with the taste to match. Probably the best whisky sour I've ever had, don't be put out by the price, these drinks are absolutely worth it.
Kudos to the girl behind the bar who whipped it up, absolutely nailed it!
Nice setting.good drinks.good food.but.we visited on a saturday night at 7pm.the staff seem flustered / under-staffed.we received our drinks and entrees in a reasonable time but our main took 1.5 hrs and we were rushed into ordering deserts as the kitchen was closing.also, the truffle risotto, truffle lamb rack and duck were not available for mains.again, food and drinks were good, but overall it wasn’t a great experience.
Had a lovely time here today! Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't have a reservation but they managed to get us a great table. Food was incredible and as our waiter put it "the chef is happy so the foods got to be good! ".
Honestly this is a MUST visit for anyone going to Pemberton! Have a few cocktails a whisky flight and enjoy!
We didn’t have a booking but lucked out and was able to eat at the bar. Food was phenomenal, drinks even better. If you have a taste for the finer whiskey’s, then this is definitely the place for you. And don’t worry if you don’t like Whiskey like myself, there is plenty of other options - the gin menu was everything for me. Service was also amazing, and a good source of free entertainment. I say we scored the best seat in the house FYI: Pork Belly Ribs is a MUST have.
The two of us had a wonderful night last night. We'll certainly be back. The food was excellent and the two flights one of us had were also excellent, as was the toddy that the driver had. The front-of-house staff were very good as well, and certainly knew their whisky. Give it a try.
This place came recommended but was a total disappointment. We had to catch the waitress's attention both times we wanted to order a drink; our entree of truffle marron had no detectable trace of truffle; and an hour after our entree was cleared we had to ask where our main meals were. Mine was brought out luke warm. On its second presentation it was even colder. They recooked the entire dish and gave it on the house. After 3 hours to get served 2 courses, they charged us for drinks we never ordered! Should rename the place Jesters because it was a joke
Really nice place to visit in Pemberton.
Would highly recommend a booking.
Great food selection accompanied by excellent choices in drinks.
They also have a very thoughtful selection of non alcoholic drinks for those who are driving.
Booked for Saturday night with over 5 weeks notice and was given an out door table on a very cold and wintery night and never informed! Just like we weren’t informed that kitchen was closing so we could not order deserts! Good we had was nice but the lack of consideration was appalling!
Just had a fantastic dinner here. Steak and pork belly were cooked to absolute perfection, triple chips and truffle mash complemented perfectly.
The best pork ribs I have had in a long time it simply fell off the bone delicious!
The whiskey experience was delightful aswell.
I also recommend checking out Jaspers cabins for accommodation. Simple and the right kind of minimal.
Sorry but our experience here was not anything more than a 1 star.
I had booked this place over 2 months ago, upon arriving we were not greeted properly and the guy working there was confused. We sat down, ordered 2 whiskey flights, some small dishes and a main and specifically told them we want the drinks first. Guess what, we got all the small dishes and after half an hour still no sign of any drinks! After following up we realised that they totally forgotten our order and all i got as a response was “oh sorry”.
We got our flights and immediately after, got our mains! Absolutely ridiculous. This is not a place worth spending $40-50 per whiskey shot and they do not deserve any good reviews. Very young team, obviously no customer service experience and totally confused. I would go there again to have a beer like a local pub. This is NOT a proper whiskey bar.
Unfortunately sat outside in winter (not advised on booking), smoked out by the dying fire, inattentive service, cold chips, over cooked duck… …
Very difficult to book, phone not answered and no message facilities. Poor service, side vegetables arrived as main course nearly over. No water for the table. Sloppy service. A most unwelcoming experience, and too expensive for the ocassion
Fabulous food great staff and service. Would have liked a coffee to finish up. We were a party of 6, they kindly squeezed another 2 in. We were early sitting so time was a bit tight. Will definitely go again. Husband said the lamb rack was to die for
Pricey, but worth it. This place is for people who are happy paying extra to get extra. They do whiskey tasting trays which are amazing
Me and my mate had the eye fillet and burger and swore it was the best thing we’d ever had. Service was great and staff were nice and polite to us.
Beautiful meal friendly service as a driver would have liked to be able to have coffee.
Being first service ran out of time for dessert (not sure could have managed one).
Looks fantastic, unfortunately they say walk ins welcome, well it was a wedsnesday night and we weren't welcome with out a booking. Disappointing.
