Jackadder Lake Reserve reviews
49Good place for a walk and seeing plenty of Australia bird live then going for a coffee after
Great location with beautiful surrounds but the white cockatoo ruin it. The noise at night is unbearable and detracts from the location.
The sharks in the lake made it kinda sketchy but keep your kids on the playground it's pretty safe I guess.
Small venue and old. Not much parking and because it rained the extra parking area was quite a distance to walk.
It's an open natural lake, good place for kids, available toilets, too many parkings, Barbeque available.
Beautiful night. Weather was perfect. Fish and chips was awesome and the company, family visitors from overseas? Nuff said.
This is an excellent place for a picnic with your family or friends. The lake enhances the beauty of the place. Bird lovers will enjoy this place as you see different types of birds in the park. This public garden with the lake is equipped with facilities like kids playground, toilet facilities, seating's near to the side of the lake and near to kids playground, BBQ stoves for cooking, parking facilities etc. It is also a good location of walks and exercises. You also have a mini shopping complex near to the lake, where you can buy your groceries, pharmacies, fish & chips, bakers delight, post shop etc.
Have monthly food van events on. Great place to take your dog for a walk or if you feel like some exercise have basic fitness equipment stops around the lake plus plenty of birdlife. A good sized playground with clean sand and new equipment. A small picnic area and some restrooms. Lots of trees and prickle-free grass. Water looks and smells clean but I wouldn't swim in it.
Had a nice and simple picnic. Nice 20 minute walk around lake with ducks and pretty lake. Adequate benches and quiet a big playground. Has a toilet facility and drink fountains.
Small but pleasant park, with a mini-lake, which always adds a lot to the atmosphere.
Park amenities are fine (plenty of tables and benches; public toilets), and on top of that it’s right across the road from a tiny shopping centre that also has a restaurant and a surprisingly large cafe.
A lovely spot for a picnic or family gathering. We had my grandson's 2nd birthday party there, and the kids a had a ball, because the Jackaddar Lake Reserve was full of ducks that my grandchildren could feed. There is a children's playground with slides, swings, and other child-safe equipment. A great location with plenty of open grassland. Ample parking bordering the reserve.
Great place for large family gatherings. Wonderful playground, grassed areas and paths around the lake. Toilets were not too clean.
A beautiful location for a picnic or walk. Plenty of amenities including toilets, drinking fountains, seating and tables. The natural fauna provides free entertainment.
Hasn't changed much since i went here as a kid 30 odd years ago. Just the new play equipment and maintenance. Small, but pretty walk around the lake. Often has RC Boats being sailed on it near the shopping centre block. Plenty of nice spots to sit, toilets, and a few bbqs for public use.
Very nice setting. Great for a walk and out also an outing for the family. There is a coffeeshop in close proximity
Nice walk around the lake. Joggers have distance markers. My grandson loves being timed between them. He's only 3. Met some friendly ppl on the walks around each evening. Lots of dog walkers but largely very responsible. If you live in the area must be great to have this on your door step. At the weekend there is a model boat club sailing remote control boats. Great to watch. They certainly can move! Pub just off the lake too. Also children's playground. What could be better?
It's a good playground, with a convenient parking area and BBQ. However it is more appropriate for young children. This time of the year there are magpies nesting (lots of them, if you consider the many signs and notices around the park) and part of the park is not accessible for this reason.
Nice place, interesting park, suitable for kids and families, nice place for a walk amd great cafe there too.
Jackadder lake is a fantastic place to relax or have a BBQ with the family while enjoying the wildlife
Nestle in the tranquillity and peace of the Lake and its surrounds. Well thought-out and designed pathways for a walk, a run with strategically located exercise stations, a playground for children, BBQ facilities, picnic areas and toilets. Above all, the blackswans, ducks, and birds will surely entice you to want to stay longer and to return, time and time again. Refreshments and good food and a grocer are readily available close by for convenience. You'll not be disappointed!
