Ippudo Kings Square reviews
64Food is sooooo good! Yam fries and the veggie soba are my favourite things to order. I’m so sad they took the goma Q off the menu: (please bring it back!
The original creamy tonkatsu broth with ramen in the shiromaru motoaji is outstanding.unagi braised eel is excellent. Flavoured egg is smooth with oozing yolk.junmei sake better than beer with the food.
I was very disappointed. I had two types of Ramen and my wife had the pork katsu curry rice. There was lipstick marks on the water glass. The portion for the noodles was too small and pricey. An egg in the Ramen was very cold in side (just came out from fridge and dunked in the Romen). My wife’s Pork katsu curry was very dry and meat in side was dark gray coloured, two customers sitting Next table ordered the same Pork katsu curry and there katsu looked fresh white coloured pork meat in the katsu.
It’s very obvious that they served my wife the pork katsu curry which was sitting in the warmer, who knows how long, I’ve been to many Japanese Ramen restaurants in Perth as well as in Japan. I will never go again, won’t recommend to anyone!
Excellent service and food came very quickly. Will definitely be returning because of the boy in the headband:)
Best ramen I've had in Australia! Very friendly staff and a spotless restaurant. Also had some of their bao buns which hit the spot to no surprise!
Tried one of their ramen dishes and was pleasantly surprised. Had lots of flavors. I have tried the one in Carousel years ago.
You can choose your style of noodles soft, medium, hard etc.
Best Japanese food I’ve ever had. It is in my eyes perfect. We’ve been to both the Perth restaurants multiple times and have also ordered takeaway many times. The food is a knock out every single time guaranteed. Never had a complaint or issue. In fact the only time we had an issue was when our order was wrong due to a miscommunication on the phone and they immediately fixed it with great customer service and also allowed us to keep the wrong food as well as the fresh food they made to correct it. Great food, great service and seriousky good prices given the high quality.
I had char Siew Ramen and my friend had the pork katsu curry rice. The portion for the noodles is alright but was a little pricey. Even the portion of the rice was just a little and a little pricey also the yam fries in a very small portion, just fries. Lol The food was just average overall.
For the price to portion ratio, it was a bit disappointing. The bao with pork that “‘melts” in your mouth description did not meet that expectation. The bao was badly presented as reflected in the picture, the pork was dry and it was a costly $6. The ramen were good but nothing to rave about, pretty standard. The karaage chicken was excellent 5 pieces for $10, the taste was spot on. The restaurant was clean and new. A welcoming space and the staff were friendly and attentive. One thing was that staff didn’t ask us for the hardness of then noodles. If it is on the menu, it should be asked as part of the service. So the ramen was softer than what we preferred. Overall it was an ok experience and the food arrive fast.
Not too bad food quality, slightly pricey but manageable.
Food quality was similar to that of the better ramens I've had. Only unsatisfactory item was the soft flavoured egg was over-cooked and yolk was a little too set for my liking for 'ramen egg'. I'm nitpicking but since you're paying for authentic Japanese ramen, you'd expect the egg to be of quality standards. The dumplings and chicken karaage were a little expensive and yet the taste doesn't justify the price; they were just average and nothing fantastic.
Had to line up approx 20mins for a Sunday lunches service but service was good.
Entrees were good although gyoza were a very small size. Takoyaki was fresh & and authentic.
House sake was refreshing and paired well with the ramen. Big portions and tasty noodles, pork katsu curry was delicious as well.
Only ordered mains after we had eaten entrees but great spot for a hot tasty meal
I was glad to discover an Ippudo in Perth after previous visits in Tokyo, Osaka and Kanazawa. A solid example of ramen, a food which the locals often struggle to recreate. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. Only thing missing is the atmosphere, but otherwise a great option.
The worst vegetarian meal ever! If you don't know how to make vegetarian it's better to remove it from your menu! Disappointed
Possibly the best ramen I've had so far in Perth. The karaage chicken bao were awesome. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Resturant was clean and tidy. We were seated quickly and orders taken shortly after. Would highly recommend and I will be back.
Food/noodles quality maintained at every visit. Sadly, still on a reduced menu (COVID). Another problem, there is no distancing enforced, and patrons are seated closely together even when the two centre large tables were completely empty.
Consistently letting me down. I tried to love this place but I'm disappointed everytime. Customer service is very poor, ramen is average, everything is expensive. I'd rather wait in line at Tosaka just down the road then visit market grounds for a drink.
Just a shadow of its sister restaurants in Sydney. I won't return any time soon.
Queuing times unreasonable. The staff could give you a heads of an expected duration to wait. Left standing outside when there were free tables inside. Happened on both visits
Don't let it detract from the food though. Top drawer! Quick service also and no messing around once you get inside.
My favorite place to eat food in Perth. Maybe in Australia. I can't express how much I love their salmon sushi rolls and ramens. I go there every week and I have absolutely nothing to complain. I totally recommend it ️️️
I understand that It would wait for a while to get served as I went there during the peak lunch hour.surprisingly the place was not that busy so I was seated and waited to be served. I waited for more than 15 mins and no staff bothered or cared to take my order, they all seems more interested to clean the table and everything else. I become impatient with this and as I have to get back to work so i stood up and asked one staff how long I have to wait like this and if has to take any longer I'll rather go something else, she said sorry and took away the menu and I left and cannot believe that chose this place for lunch.totally waste of time
Ippudo was very good with the service and food quality but I think it is going down hills. We ordered special noodle and unagi-don and they served unagidon before the noodle and when they brought the noodle, my dish was already cold. Also, they did not bring extras for the special noodle and we had to ask them for it. But thet made the mistake again that forgot the egg on the noodle. I ordered a bowl of miso soup and it was off (so sour.) and did not even drink it after one sip.
