International on the Water Hotel

We came on Sun 10th Dec. Whilst the food was good, the service was extremely disappointing. There were 2x young teens and 1x adult staffed, though it seemed to be a busy time, with several reservations, so given they knew of larger parties booked we thought they would have more staff on.

We went up several times to request drinks (and were advised it was table service only). Though we had just requested to be served, they didn't send someone up to take our drinks orders right away and we had to request someone come over again.

We also had to request menus - they brought 1 menu (for 7 people) then eventually they brought computer printed copies that were stapled together, though some were only half menus.

When the drinks were brought out, they expected us to pass the drinks down, rather than them bringing the drinks to each member from our party.

We had to constantly request someone come over for more drinks (as opposed to them coming up to check if we needed anything).

It was just really diappointing, and you'd expect better when you go out for lunch.

The Restaurant has lovely food, but there isn't enough staff to help out and they won't accept separate billing.

We had high tea breakfast which is excellent value at $70 for 2 people. It would have been nice if coffee came in a coffee cup rather than the small china teacups. The food was lovely and more than enough in quantity.

Must say beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately there was no milk, water or teaspoons in the room. Asked for a blanket and got given a doona cover. Phone and power point didn't work. A compendium with the services and room service menu would be helpful. Not everyone is good with digital technology. For $390 a night I expected more from the room. It was average.

We are a regular customer but
Last sunday, me and my colleagues went there to dine in. We were greatly disappointed with the non professional service of the floor staff. The tables were untidy and waiting periods for coffee were unexpectedly longer. Maybe, one of the managing staff member did not dealt with us properly. But we highly recommend the food and view here.

It was really awful experience. I am a regular customer to this place nd was excited for my sunday brekkie I ordered my food And after few mins I asked one of the staff member that my order has not came and he was literally lost Seems like he had no idea bout that I asked him twice then he answered “I forgot to put your order” I was so disappointed. I was waiting for soo long for my food got it after an hour. Customer service was really worst there the manager was so loud and rude to his own staff which was disgusting, miscommunication between staff and soo on. Overall my food which I got after so long was good but customer service was worst. Place was very good before and fully packed thats the reason they are not so busy anymore

Awful. Stayed for my partners 30th. The room had a leak so the floor was soaked.
The bar wasn't open and had minimal food choices.
Paid extra for river view and could only see a sliver manly saw the car park.
Had a shared balcony.
Not worth it at all.
No one cared that we had a bad experience either, so disappointing and a waste of money!

We ate in the restaurant and were NOT impressed with their ALA CART menu. The food doesn't match the description. One of our friends didn't get her meal until everyone else had finished their meals the service is very poor.
Our whole experience was very disappointing!

Honestly when I read the reviews after the wife already booked I wasn't sure what I was walking into.
Had this thought it was going to be a nightmare. But honestly from the staff at check in to staff at bar or restaurant were freindly and good customer service. Room was comfortable and clean. No utensils though. Spewing that the pool is not working given its so hot. All in all we will go back. Bang for buck here

We were unfortunate enough to stay here, and pay over 200 plus dollars for the night, for a superior king room.
Photos online looked fine and reviews looked good.
Great reception and staff and that's where it ended.
Hot day in W. A and the pool was closed.
Dirty walls in main area and some nice stains around the bed, hmm.
Had a shower to reveal no soap holder and a panel had been glued around the tap area, which was peeling open and revealed open pipes and brickwork, What!
Never ever again.
Dnt waist the time or money.

Changes have been made but I don't think for the better. Obviously there's a change in the kitchen and menu!

Because there was a lot of things wrong with my hotel room and they don’t bother to respond to emails from about over two weeks ago sent an email on Monday this week and I still have not heard back from them

I had A great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The Atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that you have A modern style. Most importantly, Every food and drink on your menu tasted Great!
The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very Friendly.

We used the function area for a birthday party. It was supposed to be a surprise but the management let us down by letting the cat out the bag. Not good.

Worst lunch ever. Asked twice for loud rap music to be turned down then gave up. We could hardly have a conversation. Ordinary food and got a soup spoon with dessert. Lovely building but meals always disappoint.

On arrival it is certainly not “as advertised”.
Whilst the receptions area is lovely the exterior and the rooms are disappointing.
It was our wedding anniversary and chose this hotel due to quiet location and it is on the Swan River.
Unfortunately even after paying for the most expensive King Room with Riverfront location, turns out that does not mean you actually can see the river as you are on the ground floor and have to look straight at the car park to the river beyond!
We were put in a room located next to the security door to this group of rooms, unfortunately this gate did not shut automatically and every other guest would leave it open when entering and then the wind would cause it to bang all night long.
As it was our anniversary we decided to open a bottle of wine. Alas there is no corkscrew in the room, there is a wine fridge but no corkscrew. I rang reception to obtain one and was told to go to the main bar. So went went upstairs to the main bar and they said no we don’t have them we only use screw top wines.
Eventually the concierge found one in an old storeroom and brought it to us!
None of the blinds within the double glazed windows work anymore!
We were given two towels and one face washer, no bath mat and no hand towel?
I could go on but I am just so disappointed that I wasted our anniversary and our money.

Very nice venue. Staff are friendly & amenities very clean. Surprised to see such a well presented facility off the main thoroughfare

We had ours sons “Louis” 21st birthday party at the Swan River Hotel in October 21. Our guests experienced excellent service at a very nice venue. The staff and Manager (Sky) treated us well and catered for all our requirement.

Definitely recommend this affordable venue and we thank the staff and Sky for a lovely evening.

We are always made welcome by the staff, even though we all arrive in our casual cycling gear after a sweaty ride. The food is generally good but that balcony overlooking the river is gorgeous in good weather. I can't understand why it isn't packed with people

Eerily quiet. More expensive than it should be given the current market and travel restrictions.seems like they don't want anyone to stay there
