IGA Rivervale reviews
48When the big shops let you down, fear not. IGA has got it. Small shop, but they jam everything in.
Best corner shop I've lived near. All the essentials and then some extra unexpected cool items. Produce fresh. Prices are hit and miss but mostly reasonable - to be expected from a small independent. Just be selective and do your big shops elsewhere (talking to the other negative comments here)
The produce is very disappointing and not fresh. Everything looks old and dying. Average store at best. Prices seem high.
Saw a customer being discriminated against for his medical condition against masks. The owners conduct was extremely distasteful and this person was left feeling discriminated against. The owner of this store needs to learn the laws. The owner this store also needs to stop living in fear over something with an extremely low fatality rate.
One of the most dirtiest stores staff are infreindly and unhelpful cash out limit is rediculous produce is allways past due date gross never shopping there again go to coles heaps better
A great little IGA that’s convenient and clean. Also love the range of incense they stock, which is rare to see in a supermarket.
Passing through from Mildura I find that the price here are so deer same shop eg 24pkwater 5times the price charge here never shop here again
This has to one of the best just for its opening hours. This one is open till late and you can just pop in add buy stuff. But the staff could be a little bit cheerful
Great iga staff are excellent. Has all the products you expect. No deli in-store and no hot chickens is the only complaint. Still has fresh meat and cold meat prepacked.
What can I say about this store, since covid has started and the wearing of masks, I have been in this shop on 4 different occasions, and what have I seen 4 people NOT wearing there masks I did advise the cashier that for businesses if you get caught is a big fine oh yeah I know, so I went in there today Sunday and I seen a person no mask entering the shop, I’ve had a gut full I wear a mask and so do other customers so I have no option but to contact the police, unless you want covid please enter the shop at your own RISK.
Handy little store, prices are a little elevated in comparison to the bigger stores but is there when the others are closed.
Great little place but not much to offer. Theres always some rough looking people that hang around outside of the shop but great if your just popping in for bread and milk.
I really never seen this place anywhere above average, infact, the place is always kind of a messy and not clean, products are way over priced for IGA store, a couple KM's down the road there is another IGA with far better prices for the same exact products, experience with the cashier lady wasn't impressive as well, she was utterly rude when I asked for cash out.
Purchased a dare iced coffe and got home to realise the used by date is 11/10/2020 and the current date is 16/10/2020, not acceptable at all, they don't want to answer the phone either
Please don't confuse this IGA (Kooyong Road) with the IGA Xpress on Great Eastern Highway. Only had great experiences at this IGA but the IGA on Great Eastern couldn't be worse.
Business tries hard. Good hours and friendly staff. Security needs beefing up to keep the druggies and aggressive
beggars under control. Council patrols and police need an increased presence as the shop provides a great community service and alternative to the big chains.
Staff are always friendly and helpful.if something isn't on shelf theyll always be happy to look out back for you.
A great place to shop. Mr Jardin is a very nice man and the staff are helpful & polite. Theres always bargains to be had so why go anywhere else!
Good reasonable prices and a well stocked, and nice and clean can be a bit daunting after about 5 - 5.30 as you get all the undesirables and trouble makers hanging around the store, wanting money and smokes.
Probably the best, although not the largest, IGA in the area. Fruit and vegetables section is certainly the best of the IGA's in the Belmont City area for freshness. The greatest attraction for me is Refresh water.
