Good quality dishes, fresh ingredients, love the karaage chicken and slow cooked pork belly staff are easy to talk to and service is prompt!

The food and service here were amazing. Fresh produce and incredibly tasty! The ebi prawns are incredible, as are all the other dishes. Great selection of alcoholic beverages too.
Staff were responsive and quick, despite being understaffed that day. Would recommend this place!

Had dinner with my family here (total 5 people). The food was amazing. We ordered around 10 dishes and each dish was perfect. The service was amazing especially since the waiter ensured to only have the next dish brought out once we finished a dish. This was really pleasant as we did not just have all dishes come out at the same time. Would recommend!

OMG, my mouth will never be the same. From the plum wine to the beef, chicken & duck mains, everything was a taste sensation. I'll be back soon. Incredible.

Tastiest Japanese in a really long time and excellent value for money!

We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box and Fish Tatsuta Bento Box through Uber Eats. Generous serve with extras included, like karaage chicken, gyoza and more.

Had a really disappointing dinner from this Japanese restaurant the meal didn't have much flavour and the tofu was a weird flavour the best part was the chicken and dumplings looking forward to giving this restaurant a second chance ordered through Uber eats will be attending in person next time I had a beef Bento being the main component could have had a bit more beef on the plate tasted similar to Beef jerky presented in a well separated container if the owner reads this I am open to adjusting my review in the future)

Japanese fusion fine dinning, great taste and service. Book ahead as can get busy. Recommend duck dish and wagu tataki.
If youre into take away sushi/foods this is not the place for you.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Ha-Lu tonight. The aubergine duck was my favourite, closely followed by the nikujaga. I found the pork belly kaku-ni was a little too sweet. The staff were friendly and the ambience was nice, would definitely recommend.

I have only tried the food from ubereats. Food is good but.when i went into the store today to try dining it, i realised the location is hard to find parking, really small space, could not walk in to dine in and it's way too busy even for takeaway. They told me that i have to wait 35 minutes for takeaway: (

Been going there for years. Food is good but they don't value long term customers. 2 weeks ago we made a reservation but on arrival I requested not to sit by the entrance as usual but was told not possible as they have a rigid booking system. They use to be able to comy. I requested for table 12 and was told it was not possible. Another family who did not have any reservations was able to have the table 12. So what is the point of reservations? The fact that a walk in family without reservation can have preference over my requests in front of us tells me alot about their treatment. I feedback to them twice but was told must specify table numbers for future reservations.

After being talked up for months we finally went down to try some amazing Japanese. Unfortunately the reality didn't live upto our expectations.
The beef dish was fantastic but the others didn't hit the mark for any of us. The waitress spilled our wine on the table and one of us got wine on our white shirt as well without offering a discount or something to compensate for the accident.
Not sure we'll go back with so many great Japanese restaurants nearby in Perth.

Our least favourite of the three Halu Sister restaurants. The scallop nanban and beef tataki was lack lustre. The blue spot emperor, ramen and tuna toro egg onsen fared better but when judged against other Japanese establishments in Perth I would consider it average. Certainly not worth the price you pay (>$120 for 2ppl). I would give this place a miss.

Best Japanese food I have had in Perth, paired with great service. It's easy to see why Ha-Lu is always packed. Be sure to book a table in advance!

Service is very nice and friendly too.

I had my concerns as the name sounded Chinese but was relieved to witness this proudly Japanese operated restaurant serve up dish after dish of deliciousness. There is an element of western influence (eg.use of seeded mustard) but all creatively and tastefully incorporated into a predominantly authentic core. I would gladly return recognising the dishes are tapas sized - so you’ll need 2-4 dishes per person depending on appetite.

A cute, cosy restaurant with friendly, prompt staff. The prices were very reasonable for such tasty food. The best Japanese we have eaten in a while and I like that it wasn’t your typical Japanese joint serving sushi. Can’t wait to come back!

My partner and I have been coming here for years and are never disappointed. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the drinks are quite unique and delicious, the food is always on point. Last night we were disappointed our favourite nakujiga was sold out, but it forced us to try something new which was the gyoza with an incredibly yuzu pepper sauce! Would always recommend Ha-Lu
