I love this place. Friendly staff, good prices, good food selection and bar options. Great movies. Go early to get a good seat. Definitely get a bean bag chair. You'll love it! My favourite night out.

The 'pre show' for Grand Cinemas gave some insight into the business' history which I was unaware of.

The 'pre show' for Grand Cinemas gave some insight into the business' history which I was unaware of. Staff were very attentive. It was very quiet on my visit, only 2 other people in the theatre.

Stayed locally over Xmas 2019 and when I visited was pleasantly surprised. The seating was more comfortable than what I was expecting and the screen size and picture quality was great. The 'pre show' for Grand Cinemas gave some insight into the business' history which I was unaware of. Staff were very attentive. It was very quiet on my visit, only 2 other people in the theatre.

Beautiful art deco cinema.go for the old school charm of the place, the movie is just a bonus aside.

My cousin and i went there and thought it would be a good cinema. But the seats are uncomfortable and i think i saw a cockroach. The screens are small and flimmering. The popcorn is the old garbage popcorn from hoyts that they throw away. I will never visit this place again. But I think Italians who want to save up some dollars because they don’t want to afford the great Hoyts will love it.

Lovely old setting for the pre-screening of Downton Abbey movie, seats worn and not very comfortable but otherwise pleasant.

Went to a special screening of Downton Abbey. Had a glass of champers and a lovely custard puff. The cinema is an art deco theatre and is very comfortable. For fans of Downton the movie was great.

THIS IS A GEM OF A CINEMA, LOCATED IN PRESTON STREET SOUTH PERTH, IT IS OLD FASHIONED, PATRONIZED BY SENIOR CITIZENS
WHO GET A DISCOUNT ON THERE TICKETS.
WE ARE BOTH PENSIONERS AND VISIT ON A REGULAR BASIS. IT HAPPENS TO BE ACROSS THE ROAD, FROM THE KARALEE TAVERN, SO YOU CAN ALWAYS POP IN FOR A MEAL OR A PINT,
ITS A VALUE FOR MONEY VENUE.

A unique heritage cinema, Western Australian owned, $10 tickets with a cinema card, one of the most affordable in Perth

Good happy atmosphere. Superb example of good old fashioned picture theatre, keeping up with the times!

Yesterday I took a friend to the Cygnet Theatre to see The Chaperone. Such a beautiful theatre in every way excepting that it was freezing cold in there! If you are going there take my advice and take a blanket because you’ll need it.

Think older cinema, with great atmosphere for horror movies. Wouldn't see triple A title's as sound quality varied.

Although I'm not thrilled by the Grand Cinema affiliation and prices (they at least upgraded the seats) this theatre is by far my favourite.

The art deco style just oozes charm and conjures the memori of the golden Age of movies. The theatre itself is worth the visit just to take it in. A wonderful Alfred Hitchcock mural on the side is a seriously underated piece of street art in WA.

The limitations of a single screen and the sound might not be the best ever but any movie you want to see that is playing at the Cygnet is a must to go see. A Perth icon that truly deserves to be cherished.
