Grand Cinemas / HOYTS Currambine reviews
60Plenty of space even so only one staff member selling tickets then ice cream and then making coffe. Hard working young man but too much to do and waited a while for coffe.
Great cinema. We had reclining seats today, very impressed! Nice they have member pricing especially in school holidays. Would be nice to book chosen seats on the website though!
Staff have always been friendly there and helpful, hard to get parking at the cinema side, so allow time to park and walk over, I found the IMAX recliner sessions to be really good value, get yourself a members card for savings
Love Movie Time!
Was met with freindly service from the candy bar tonight! What a great finish to my day.great dinner then a good movie at great venue.
Cinema's are hurting. Went and saw Black Widow on Saturday night. Ticket price $11.50! Hardly anyone there. Know could have downloaded Disney but much better on big screen.
One of the best cinemas that have cinamax. Not much to say other than it's a cinema, they do what any other cinema does and some of the theatre rooms have recliner seats.
Tonight was probably the worse experience I’ve had at a GrandCinema
I clearly ask the girl at the counter for 4 ticket to see Suicide Squad at 7: 30pm and she gives me tickets to Jungle Cruise and not taking much notice of the movie on the ticket just the cinema number we end up in the wrong movie so I go and inform of her mistake and she doesn’t even apologise.
Also when ordering food for the movie the young girl that served us had informed us that they only had rum & raisin ice creams available so we didn’t get any ice cream but after waiting 30mins or so for our hot chip I noticed they had several ice cream flavours on a stick in the fridge?
We were happy to buy the ice cream we didn’t expect to get it for free.
Very poor customer service tonight
Please improve the quality of your customer service or have staff on that are more mature or train your staff better please or we will go elsewhere
Had an awful experience here this evening. During the first five minutes of the film, I noticed a laser pointer come on the screen before turning off a few times. Three staff came in and had suspicions it came from the area where me and my friends were sat as well as a group of 7 in front of us. We were asked repeatedly if we knew anything about the laser pointer or if we did it, which we replied no (as was the truth) and the group in front of us were also asked. Conversations occurred next to us between the staff members with their flashlights on for about 5 minutes which was rather distracting and then one proceeded to stand there and for the next five minutes after. One of my friends then reached into his pocket to check his phone for the time. Two staff members immediately came up to us declaring he was pulling out a laser pointer (without even seeing it) and rudely asking us to leave. I then had to suggest a voluntary search of all of our pockets and we pulled out all of our belongings. Even after that, the staff still went back and checked all the seats to see if we had ditched it. I understand the situation of laser pointers being illegal and I wanted the situation resolved as much as the staff, as the laser was distracting and I was really looking forward to watching the movie, but the way in which it was handled was absolutely shocking and was more reminiscent of a guilty until innocent approach and completely ruined our movie going experience.
Food was ok but gold class is not a plush experience.there are nicer gold class cinemas around.didnt find the chairs particularly comfy and was cold as in there.
Always enjoyable theatre. Staff could pick up their game, stand around chatting and leave customers to wait. Can be frustrating
Organised a group booking to see a movie, things were a bit slow to sort out at the beginning but we got there in the end! Good value for money, and you get a few different options depending on budget and type of event.
This was our first time visiting this cinema, as we opted to try here instead of going to the cinemas in Joondalup to see if it was any better and it definitely was. The cinemas, staff and overall service is way better.
Location was a bit hard to find especially going at night but once you knew where you were then it was easy to navigate around.
Absolutely disgusting condition. I don’t even know how they can operate and make people sit on the seats. We felt so uncomfortable the entire time
Gold class, it was awesome! We seen "A Quiet Place 2". We also dined and wined! Best cinemas I've ever been to. It was nice to see a movie before going back to Canada where it's not available yet.
This cinema is always our choice when we go Gold Class! Good range of food and drinks, staff have always been friendly and helpful. Seem to get a few interruptions the last couple of times offering food that was for the people next to us which was a bit disappointing but otherwise a good clean cinema experience.
Staff are friendly and welcoming on each visit. The cinema is always clean and tidy, main foyer is always presented well and is also clean. Gold Class service is excellent. Plentiful food options.
We absolutely love the currambine Grand Cinemas, not because its our closest but becauee we love the experience. The staff have always been great here.
We tend to always go Gold Class and the food is great, the fishermans basket especially!
Any new MCU movies or any movies we both think look good we will be there just after release, gold class all the way!
Went into cinema 5 on Wednesday 24/2/21 and the cinema had a really unpleasant smell, it was present during the whole film and ruined our enjoyment. Cleaning seems to be the issue.
It was a bit unusual, I went alone to see DRY. Great film, treated very nicely in the coffee lounge, the staff were really polite and made me feel, "at home". Enjoyed the whole evening. I will go again.
I had to give a 1 just so I could make a comment. My platinum card expires midnight tonight. Tried to book a ticket for tomorrow said we couldn't use it as the film tomorrow is after the card expires, I said we got the card in January and you have been closed for half the year. Response was but we have been open since August, I said yes but for most of that you were showing old or kids films.where is the customer service forthe months that we didn't get to use it. I would be paying today whilst the card is current, for the same seat you want me to purchase tomorrow with the purchase of a new platinum card. No wonder the conemas are empty, at least other retail and hospitalities are doing the right thing.shame on you
I just went there with my school and we had a great time. The vmax recliner lounge is great. The only issue is that the aircon was broken so it was quite hot. All round a good place would recommend.
