Friar Tucks Irish Bar/Restaurant

Went a couple of weeks ago, had the mushroom burger, very little mushroom, mostly a onion capsicum tomato medley, wasn't good but it was busy that day so put the bad meal down to kitchen being overloaded. Went today had seafood chowder, NO flavour at all, basically a bland white sauce with seafood in it, the small prawns had the tails on! So I had to get white sauce all over my fingers to eat them, also the mussels where still attached to their shells - same again sauce everywhere trying to get mussels out of shell. It's just lazy of the chef? To not put seafood into the chowder so it can be easily eaten with the spoon which is provided with the meal. Honestly who wants to have white sauce all over their fingers when eating, and as I have said, the white sauce was tasteless. I'm not a fussy eater and I don't consider I have, in anyway, a excellent pallet but this dish is a big fail.

Food seems to have improved lately, steaks were cooked properly for the first time but not much option for vegetarian/ vegan

A great evening. Live music. Food was delicious. We all loved our meals. Everyone had something different. Lots of variety on menu. Wish Id taken more food photos! I had the Lamb Shanks which were so tender and Tasty. My husband had Celtic Chicken which was amazing (prob favourite dish). Pork Belly was cooked to perfection and also tasted great. Very generous servings. Im gushing.but it was all just so good.

Friendly welcoming staff. Phil is a great manager always has to time to get to know his customers.

Friends booked by phone last week, turned up last night to be told.no booking, fully booked out, so sorry.won't be EVER returning.

We had an amazing meal, with awesome service from every staff member and great live music. The kids loved their meals and enjoyed the board games while we finished our drink. Thank you, it was wonderful!

We had to wait longer for our meals due to a technical problem with the computer But the manager was apologetic and did everything in his power to make our evening enjoyable. The food was worth waiting for, just delicious. Thank you also to the waiting staff who are just delightful.

Dropped in for a mid afternoon lunch last week. I had the large rump steak and my partner had the sizzling Cajun Salmon, both of good proportion and cooked perfectly to our liking. Compliments to the chef.
Staff were friendly and efficient.

First time visit for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary, we had already planned our next visit before leaving. Good food (chowder was awesome), generous portions, good atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff.

Friar Tucks is a hidden Gem. Its not often you can find a place where they sell old school pub food that's definitely made with love. One of my new favourite places to go for lunch and dinner.

Returned after a covid abscence and it is great a real community hub, great food, great drinks and staff that care this place is a six out of five stars absolutely brilliant.

I was disappointed.took an hour to get our food. One of us got thier main before thier starter another got starter and main together. We had waited so long none of us could finish and wanted to take what was left home with us, but waited another half hour and no one came back to ask how our meals were, so we paid and left. Disappointed. The food was fresh, but a little bland. I won't be going back.

Food was awful. Ordered pork belly. Over cooked and dry. Sent it back. Got parmie also dry and cheese like sheet of plastic. Never return. Waited far to long.

Slow service. We had roast beef which was tough. Vegetables average and Yorkshire was hard, tasted stale. Overall very average.

Went for Sunday roast after seeing a photo of a friend's lunch earlier that day. Our roasts looked nothing like the one in my friends photo. It was only 5pm, they had already run out of pork so my wife and I went for beef. What came out looked like a reheated meal from lunch time. No cauliflower cheese like my friend had, 1 roast spud, spoonful of peas, dry carrots, spoonful of mash, 1 burnt but reheated Yorkshire pudding and 3 small slices of beef. The whole meal looked like a microwave dinner. Not enjoyable at all. When we told the staff we just got the obligatory " we will let the chef know" but No one went to the kitchen to tell them, no apology just oh well, here's your bill! As a local I doubt very much we will ever go back. Shane as it used to be a great pub.

Food took 2 hours, was confused by servers who didn't remember orders. My meal of Pork was too tough and stringy. Waste of time and money for a booked party if 12+

10/10 best food I've had in Mandurah for some time now, Great atmosphere, outdoor play area for kids. Can't believe it's taken us so long to discover how good this place actually is!

Small and cosy. Food was good however was let down by service. Was there for 1.5hrs just to eat lunch. Kids came out first which was great but then had to wait 30mins just to take our meal order. By the time we got our meals kids had finished dessert and was bouncing off walls. Staff were friendly and apologised but I think extra training would be beneficial and have more that one staff member taking orders.
