Friar Tucks Irish Bar/Restaurant reviews
69Absolutely beautiful food, service and live music. I can’t rave about this place enough. If you’re tossing up where to go for dinner - you’ve found it
I've been in WA for 5 weeks and had the best steak meal ever at Friar Tucks. In addition to that the staff are wonderful and you wouldn't meet a better bloke than Dave the proprietor. Recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Neg: No table service if you sit outside so you sit their waiting watching everyone else get table numbers given to them to only gind out you need to walk in to order. Thats after been here 1 hr before opening. Still should give table service to your outside patrons. And had to wait 20min for 2 drinks not happy.
Pos: Food is always freah and great.
Good Irish themed menu, with modest size serves. They also have daily blackboard specials.
Fully licensed, with a reasonable wine list.
Full table service and seating inside or outside.
My wife and I ordered fish and chips for 2 at $26 each and an entre squid $18. To say disappointed would be an understatement.
Although the food presented well o n e bite into the fish and straight away I knew from the mushy texture that they were using basa. This was confirmed by the waitress. I would ha v e thought for the price that a more quality standard of fish could have been used.
The squid was flavourless and tasted like the type you get from the frozen section in a supermarket. The salad and chips were OK.
The beer was lovely and cold and the young waitresses serving were polite and courteous.
I was offered a discount on the meal but I declined.
I wish I could be more positive with my review but overall the experience was disappointing.
I thought Food had improved, but i was wrong. Portions are smaller than ever on specials night but steaks were cooked properly for the first time. Not much option for vegetarian/ vegan
Tip Top buns used for burgers and the patties tasted like frozen I & J. Very expensive for what you get.
First time there for a long time and the food this time was very nice and tasty. The service and staff was very good and friendly and the prices of meals were reasonable
Food was great and the young waitresses were friendly but the lady behind the bar came across as rude and blunt. 2 minutes after paying my bill I asked to get a couple of take aways and was sternly told that they were closed and the till was shut. After paying over $300 for the night walked out very dissapointed
Working staff, excellent.
Manager, made us feel bad because we approached the bar to buy drinks on arrival, to be told table service only. Then waited over 20 minutes to be offered a drink.lacking customer service compared to previous management.
Great place to go grab a feed or just a beer, friendly bar staff and i believe they will be getting a shuttle bus shortly, no need to risk a drive
We used to love this place we ordered a coke no sugar and 4 pieces of cheesy garlic bread got 2 pieces of normal garlic bread and a diet coke, later I went to the bar to order a drink and was rudely turned away told was table service only then the lady proceeded to shoo me away it was tempting to walk out after that by that time the food was there my family got a guineas pie, kids snitzel and the sizzling seven spiced beef. I got my pie all was good until i noticed the pastry was burnt and got barely any chips, then came the kids meal the snitzel was tiny and burnt also kinda spicy ans more chips than my adult meal nearly 20 mins later finally got the seven spiced beef it was way too sweet there was 0 spiced so ever
Pleasant staff when we first arrived then it went down hill from there. They were under staffed and the gentleman behind the bar was obnoxious and argumentative with the customers slow getting our food! Would not go back or recommend there to anyone
Funky little Irish restaurant. The menu has something for everyone. Come hungry servings are quite large. Non intrusive entertaiment adds to the ambience together with a wood heater. Give it a crack.
Impossible to get hold of. Don't answser the phone and don't take bookings over the internet. Try somewhere else.
Update, they were renovating and I have been several times since. Great chilli mussels!
Waited over an hour for our meals. Parmi & chips were burnt, chicken curry very average. Had to get up at one stage to get some service. Care factor about Customer satisfaction was about zero - from the manager down!
Great spot for a nice lunch washed down with a Guinness. If your just slightly older than me then there are some good lunch deals for seniors. The staff are excellent and looked after us. We will definitely be back.
Had a great family dinner there didn't have to book even though there were 7 of us, they have a great selection of Irish, food and service was great, even got a free whiskey shot
Wonderful experience each time we have visited. Attentive and friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Customer service poor, took forever to place an order and longer to dish up. Kids meals chips and nuggets came after mains? !? ! Staff more interested in having a chat amongst themselves. (Although youngest girl serving us did well). Beef pot pie was awesome though. Don’t quite understand but keep customers happy keep checking in with us and we will order/drink more, bit of a win/win. But just didn’t happen? Manager didn’t seem interested?
