Frederick's Café

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Customer service was fantastic. Met with a warm greeting and clear instructions about how to order. The food was sensational - we got the granola and the PBLTE burger, both were incredible. Coffee was great. I absolutely loved their tea selection and that they serve it with a pot of honey, milk and some extra hot water on the side - something I think way more cafes should be doing! They had pretty much every type of milk you can think of for those that don’t do dairy. Prices were very reasonable too! We left full, happy and very satisfied with the experience overall. Such a good start to the day Would highly highly recommend.

We ordered a slice of ‘lemon cake’ - it was inedible. Clearly something ‘went wrong’ during the baking process as it tasted like raw cake mixture. When raising the issue with the obnoxious cafe manager, we were rudely told that our palette was the problem - not the cake. I asked if she had tried the cake - she said that she didn’t want to try the piece we had attempted to eat (clearly not what I was asking). I could see she had no interest in hearing my honest feedback. The purchase amount was refunded but there is no need for such rudeness. You’ve lost my business. There are many other good cafes in town - with more polite managers.

Good coffee but was not impressed with the breakfast. Menu states ciabatta bread but we got basic white toast.
Smashed avo was puréed (yuk) not ‘smashed’ and overpriced for what you got including two cut in half sticks of asparagus! Won’t be returning.

This place is always busy! We did wait a little while for food however we where not disappointed.
The staff are friendly and we noted the uniform change between breakfast and lunch which is a nice touch aswell as hygienic

Really great breakfast, even their vegan options looks tasty and rich. Can really recommend the baked beans with lamb.

The chilli scrambled eggs are bloody marvelous. They may not be deconstructed or airwhipped or whatever those fancy shmancy places are doing now days, but they are honestly the best scrambled googs I've had in a very long time
The pulled pork foldover (aka quesadilla) was really nice. Personally, I think just a little Chipotle in adobo would have made this really stand out.

Spent a few hours in this cafe for the first time this morning, love the place, good music, staff is super kind and bubbly
I ordered a flat white and the waffle with banana/caramel popcorn/maple syrup/vanilla ice cream + bacon. I was slightly disappointed in the waffle as It was quite "flat" and i like them fluffy and thick. The taste was still very nice, loved the caramel popcorn and the serve of bacon was a generous portion. The plate looked yummy and I had a very good first impression of this cozy little cafe.
I will definitely come back every week on my day off to enjoy some more food! Also thanks for letting me use your wifi:)

Stopped for a quick lunch and we're pleasantly surprised. We ordered a Reuben toasted sandwich and the pork Raman and both were quite tasty. While maybe both weren't exactly true to the original recipe they were both really good local interpretations. I will be back next time I am in town.

The cafe is cute with nice outside spots and the coffee exceeded expectations. If you are a coffee lover, go to Frederick's.

Very friendly staff, and one of the best flat whites I’ve had in a while! I highly recommend! It has a great atmosphere, great service, and great food!

Love the coffee. Such a friendly and energetic group of staff and a wonderful vibe. I havent eaten here yet, though there's a delicious display of muffins etc. On the main street, so convenient.

Just new to Albany & so very happy to discover this wonderful little place, the sevice is fantastic, friendly staff, great food and the Best coffee makers in town.
