Great coffee, excellent service. Outdoor seating is great, sheltered and away from traffic. Recommended.

The half portions are perfect for people who don’t want a large breakfast to leave room for lunch.

This is my favourite café in Albany.
Food options in Albany generally are not the best, but when my family and I went here for the first time recently - we were refreshingly surprised!
You can taste the freshness of the food! A great number of options for eating - something for everyone. I absolutely love their Smashed Avo - it has a beautiful mix of seeds as well as pumpkin on it too!
My family member loves coffee and has said it is the "best coffee in town, " and even went back for seconds as the café was closing (never seen my family member do that before!)
We have sent many compliments to the chef/cook at our visits. Tender meat, tasty desserts, etc.

My boyfriend and I visited this place for breakfast, it was such a lovely experience, staff was really nice and the food was amazing! Drinks and food were fresh and the location was comfortable and looked beautiful 10/10 definitely recommended this place!

Superb cafe. They tailored our order to suit our pregnancy needs, and the food was very good. Freshly made and came out quickly. Highly recommended for a lunch on the run, made well and served well.

Staff were very friendly, unfortunately the worst food I've had in a while. Came out within 5 minutes after we ordered, didn't taste fresh at all. Neither of us could finish our meals due to the bland taste

Great place for breakfast in Albany. I had the eggs your way (full) with a half serve of bacon and my partner the pancakes. The scrambled eggs are really really good and the pancakes where also good! Generous servings and good atmosphere. I can really recommend Frederick's for a good breakfast in Albany!

Good location to sit and watch happenings on York Street. Protected from weather and the heater was on, definitely welcome as today is cold.

It was really great they had a heater on the closed in verandah outside. However the area for tables had a 20com drop off to another level of the pavement and the chairs were right on the edge of this. Not safe. I was watching an elderly lady trying to set herself down on the edge. She only had to step back a couple of inches and she'd have toppled over. Then the coffee wasn't hot and my husband ordered extra hot and it was still only just warm. When the food came the couple who ordered with us were given there's about ten minutes before ours, instead of us all having our meal roughly about the same time, and we had actually ordered ours before them. When mine finally came out, I pulled out a great big long black hair. Certainly wasn't mine. So, not a good experience.sorry folks, I don't usually have bad experiences out but sadly this was. Sorry for the bad review.

Good service as the girls were supper helpful, great coffee and tea. The food was good but not great. Good serves and looked good but lacked some flavour and steak was a bit tuff. Would go back.

I have been here 3 times and it gets better each visit. We love sitting out in the undercover street seating, it really feels like a touch of Europe in Albany. Food excellent and so is the service. I would happily recommend this place every day!

Coffee and hummingbird cake to start the day off right. Delicious and fast friendly efficient service. Sat in the outside undercover patio area, watching the main street morning unfold.
