Finlay's Kalbarri

The staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and calm even when they were very busy. Food was delicious. Great music. Kids had a blast!

Not as good as I expected.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food is not bad but I find it very expensive. The dessert we ordered was not delicious.

Came in for lunch just after it opened on a Saturday, staff were super friendly, ordering can be come from the table via a qr code, food was very good, simple ingredients but put together very well. Great choice of semi outdoor seating. 10 out of 10 will come back next time I'm in town

After reading the rave reviews my partner and I were left feeling a little ripped off with our food due to serving sizes. Prawn arancini were small, chicken burger & chips was a kid-sized meal. The seafood linguine was tasty but for a town with access to the best of W. A seafood we were expecting more than three prawns, three tiny bits of bream and four cockles. Giving three stars as the staff were nice, nice setting and the craft brews are decent.

Delicious cockles, beer, prawns, steak. Great restaurant with awesome service. Thoroughly recommend.

Overpriced for what you get.
Not as good as it was 20 odd years ago.
Outdoor setting is windy and cool.

Food was ok but not the same as last time. Quantities were ok but not generous, tasted ok but nothing special. Disappointed having a reservation but having to sit at a table with others. Prices were as you would expect, a little high. No longer a must do thing in Kalbarri.

Beers were nice. Fish and chips were average. Batter was very doughy. People were super friendly and everyone was enjoying themselves. Good to see at least one dog friendly place in kalbarri

Supposed to be eating there with my three kids in 3 hours, so haven't shopped or have any food prepared - just got phoned and advised they weren't opening but if I was hanging around until Wednesday then we can go there then.nice one - will not be back.

Steak was exceptionally good it was tender and it was flavoursome possibly could have been a bit warmer the only downfall with the whole evening was the garlic sauce that they had pulled over everything was far too runny it's soaked through the chips and soaked through the salad otherwise it would have been an exceptional venue I would give top marks to the light brown ale

We were here a couple of years ago and loved the food and great the pale ale. This time the pale ale is the best tasting in Australia but our food was terrible. The fish was really dry, the chips were soggy. My sister had a surf and turf. It was tasteless, the creamy sauce was watery and the prawns were old and powdery. They had run out oysters and so we had chillie muscles which came in another watery sauce. They had also run out of deserts. Such a shame. We were so disappointed that on this occasion we paid top dollar for horrible food.

Very disappointed, it’s hard not to compare it with what it was back in the day.
Without comparing you’d still have to score there food pretty low down the scale, long wait for food, very small portions, wasn’t well cooked.
Staff were good, could not fault them at all.

Great food, great atmosphere, good service. Fish was super fresh, nice outdoor eating experience, the beer brewed in house was also great. Recommended.

Would not go there again, waited over a hour for our meal. Other people who orded there meal after us receive the meal before we did. I thought I would go see where our meals where then as they where coming out he stop the waitress n took my partners meal back in n sent my meal to the other table. I stated to him that was our meal he said there was a stuff up with there meals, sorry. I stated well my partner would not want her meal sitting there while u make a new one. When my meal finally come out with a different person they said sorry ur first one come out wrong lol lied n yep my partners was cold. Better of going to the local fish n chip shop would be better than there food not including the service bad rating.

Poor choice of fish $90 for a Cray with a salad and rice. I think poor value for money poor choice.

Exceptional spot on the back-flanks of Kalbarri.

Really great beer, excellent service and some fresh and tasty local seafood.

Beer selection was great, full range from Kolsch, IPA, NEIPA to darker beers.

Good food selection and some very fresh tasting oysters. Highly recommend the fish tacos.

If going on a weekend or during holidays book or come early as the place is filled to the rafters most evenings.

Finlay’s was absolutely amazing in every aspect; their staff were friendly and very accomodating (we were swiftly given a seat even though it was fully booked and we didn’t have a booking), the atmosphere was relaxing and casual with both outdoor and undercover dining areas and last but not least the food was soo fresh and delicious. The special (Yellowtail Sashimi) was to die for, and the linguine and surf & turf was cooked to perfection. We arrived in Kalbarri late and hungry, not expecting all too much, but we were very pleasantly surprised thanks to Finlay’s.

Great atmosphere with the fire going and all the antique stuff around. Our arancini, calamari, fish&chips, choc mousse and cheese cake were all delicious. Their beer selection is tasty, and would recommend a tasting paddle to try a few.
