The lady who did my half-leg wax really didn't seem to know what she was doing.

She asked me how high up the leg I wanted to get waxed and then tried to charge me extra for including the knees, when every half-leg I've ever had done across multiple beauticians/venues has always included knees. There were a bunch of little things, like not doing my toes and asking me to lie on my side instead of asking me to roll over onto my stomach, that gave me the impression she didn't have a lot of experience.

Also, both times she left me in the room to change out of/into my clothes, she left the door ajar enough that someone walking past could have easily seen in, and considering she didn't give me a towel to cover myself after I removed my pants I felt pretty exposed when she left the room after the treatment.

I honestly felt like I was looked after by a trainee who didn't have anyone supervising her. The only positive was that she was polite and apologetic when she made mistakes. But overall I won't be going back to this store any time soon.

Had eyebrow wax and a nose piercing. Most beautiful and best place I’ve been to, staff extremely friendly would highly recommend and will definitely return any time when ever required. 1000/10. Amazing atmosphere.

I regularly buy this ASAP face scrub - exfoliate + renew 200ml for $55 and suddenly became $64. I asked why and the lady answered their prices increased. I quickly checked the essential beauty online shop and it is $55, so I respectfully asked for a receipt but the lady couldn’t give me as she said they don’t give official receipts and it is what it is, really? I never knew selling products in Australia without receipt is now legal! Will never buy again!

I did a 30mins facial with Josh and it was not only relaxing but educationational. The staff is really friendly and informative. I will definitely going for my next treatment there.

Did a walk in yesterday doing Brazilian wax. I did a research later that I can actually choose what type of Brazilian wax I could get and as this was my first time waxing, I just wished that I could have been advised of the options I can have. I was guided into a treatment room to get ready. I observed the room and see that there’s 2 pots of wax ready in the room (not sure if that’s common practise in salon though as I later checked online that everytime new wax should be used and melt? And now I am just panicking here hoping that the wax is not double dipped or reused, though she did wear a gloves and also took out multiple wooden spatula and wax strip to use) I wasn’t particularly fond of the bed with the plastic cover. (though the lady has placed a disposable cover on it and change it second time after a trimmed, but the pillow cover wasn’t changed and at the end of the service I was left to clean on the bed without the disposable sheet) the lady was nice and friendly, but it was still a very painful experience (could be cause it’s my first time or postpartum can be really tender) during the waxing, she uses a scissor to trim my hair and while I appreciate their professionalism, I was poked a few times with it as it was done quite fast.after the waxing, she took the layer of disposable sheet away and cleaned my area a bit and left me have sometime to clean myself. It was gross to lay on the plastic sheets as i sweat quite a bit and I hope that the plastic cover on the bed has been sanitised beforehand. And when I did some cleaning myself, I realised that the full Brazilian wax I had wasn’t thoroughly waxed and there’s still a few batches of hair here and there that’s quite visible. (Not sure if its cause of the busy period and there’s a time limit for the waxing?) After the session, I see that the scissor was left on the table and I am not sure either if that will be reused/sanitised. The lady did ask if I am ok. I guess at that time after the painful experience, I just don’t have the heart to say anything. I went home after that and had my husband to check, and there seems to be some tear on the skin and also area that’s bruised and patches of hair here and there. All in all, the staff were really friendly and nice but I don’t think I will ever go back for a wax anymore as the hygiene is questionable (and I hope this could be clarified by the shop) and also am disappointed that despite all the pain that it’s still not thoroughly clean waxed.

Been having my eyebrows waxed here for around a year, never had any issues. However today the woman seemed kind of distracted and was being very rough, left me with a swollen chunk of skin under my eye that will probably bruise and some scabs. Disappointed

My daughter got her nose piecing done here and the jewellery was so small and the skin grow over the jewellery, she has to get surgery to get it out now.

Had a horrible experience when I booked in to get my septum pierced, the lady cleaned my nose but didn’t feel for my sweet spot and just put the clamp in my nose. She shoved the needle through and was one of the worst pains I’ve had when it comes to piercings considering I’ve had my n*pple pierced. She had gotten the needle through and tried getting the jewellery through but told me that it was getting stuck in the middle of my nose and couldn’t get the jewellery in, she offered to repierce it or I could get a refund. I went with the refund because I was not going through that pain again, I had gone to angel body piercings and asked about my experience and they checked out my nose and felt for my sweet spot and told me the lady had actually pierced through my cartilage in my nose and that it shouldn’t have hurt as bad as it did. I’ve had other piercings done before and I barely felt a thing but this was honestly the worst pain I had endured when getting a piercing. Definitely don’t recommend going here, they are overpriced and don’t seem to know what they’re doing. The lady was very nice and apologetic but unfortunately didn’t seem to know what she was doing.

Piercing service was rush & honestly, if you didn't want to do the piercing, I would have taken my business elsewhere.

Have the option of walk-in booking for piercing but lack of information on how to handle issues related to after getting pierced. Got disappointed on my nose piercing that’s keeps on sinking and couldn’t able to contact during public holidays on how to tackle the problem. Been advise to pay full price for re-piercing as I pulled out worried that the piercing might get stuck. Would have been handle better if got the information during the appointment.

Wonderful efficient piercers, very professional and put my daughter at ease after a previous bad experience at another store.

I had one of the worst waxing experience thus far. I personally believe the beauty therapist I was booked with did not know what she was doing or had no experience waxing people of colour.

I literally walked into the room and the only communication we had was where the nose piercing was going to go, other than that, she didn’t ask me what size piercing I wanted and she didn’t even let me choose the jewellery or it’s colour. I got up and she asked me to look in the mirror and that was it. She then left the room and did not go through any procedures in which to care for my piercing. I went out the room and all she said was bye as I left the place feeling terrible and worthless. My nose was bleeding as I walked out the shop and all I could do was place a piece of tissue on it. All the customers I saw were asked what jewellery they wanted as well as the size, I was not given that same right. If I am paying $80 something dollars for something that is going to be placed in my body, I have the right to choose. But unfortunately at essential beauty I was not afforded a choice. I left in tears and cried for 20 minutes in my car. I just felt horrible.

Very unprofessional staff, didn't have a clue what they were doing let alone what products were on show. I wanted a jewellery for my nose piercing, ended up being recommended an ear piercing jewellery! In turn it didn't end up fitting as it was too thick, I am very dissatisfied with the customer service here. Not sure if staff have been trained or educated on anything.
