Dôme Café - Secret Harbour reviews
56Got half the coffee order, waited over half hour for other coffee and food. After requesting my coffee, wrong size came.completely overlooked our food order. Ok, these things happen but service and management need to up there game. Should have received a full refund as apology instead of partial. Very disappointing
The food is reasonable but sometimes takes a while to get to the table if there's four people in the group and comes out colder than it should.
Coffee's hit and miss, if you have a special order like almond milk or half strength you probably won't get it made right the first time. If you ask for sugar they may add it or may tell you it's on the table and do it yourself.
The staff are usually friendly but either there's not enough of them rostered on every time we're there or they aren't interested in cleaning up tables. It's usually a hunt to find a clean table when dining in. The floors are always dirty.
Overall the Dome secret harbour is slightly better than a lot of cafe's around the area but sub par for the Dome.
It's okay. Half the staff seem happy, half the staff seem miserable. Roll of the dice to be honest. Coffee and food is okay.
Easily accessible with ample parking, friendly staff, able to do shopping before or after, plenty of choice and variety. Toilets located inside on ground level.
If ever we shall perish
and become but specks
of dust, I hope the wind
carries us away to that
place you've always loved, Dome. - r.m. Broderick
Had breakfast here with my husband today as we thought we would treat ourselves and was let down real good.
The food was cold, tomato seemed reheat, poached eggs werent soft they were hard boiled, mushrooms were pretty much ice, beacon was rubbery along with the scrambled eggs and then the fish tacos what is that sauce? Was way to over powering could bearly taste the fish as it was a tiny piece, super soggy taco due to way too much juice from what ever dressing was in it, need to thoroughly clean coffee machines as coffee tasted burnt.
Only good thing was sweet potato chips, hashbrowns and the sausage and the customer service
Terrible front of house attitude, ordered a seafood basket, calamari was overcooked and rubbery, and barista had a terrible attitude at the front of house poor example
Had lunch with friends. Very pleasant staff, with fast, efficient & friendly service. I enjoyed a hot fisherman's plate. My wife chose fish, chicken & prawn bowls which she really enjoyed. Friends chose to share the fish, aracini balls & prawn bowls. The ladies had coffee and cake which they liked. An enjoyable 2 hours chatting and eating. Thanks staff and manager.
Secret Harbour is a community of its own. Love being apart of it. The girls here at dome even remember your coffee preference if you are a regular. Lovely lassys and lads!
Good cafe, staff know their food and drinks.
Warmth and patience to people with disabilities.
Would come back
The service wasn't very friendly, the girl looked like she wanted to be anywhere but where she was and has a short, sharp and abrupt tone and attitude.
The food was nothing to run home about. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast at 815am, and at 850am was served a big breakfast with extra sausages, And was short changed $5.00.
Not my idea of a good experience
We are new to the area and we have been here a few times now mostly with our new pup, staff are friendly and no dramas with food.
Very handy as is walking distance from home.
The chips and wedges were cold and floury.they were open for another hour but they had already packed up all the chairs outside.we had a dog so we weren't able to sit inside
The food was pretty tasty despite the time it took to get to us and the fact that my parmy was burnt all along the edges and the steak sandwich has a slab of steak in it instead of being cut up before it was put in it.
We were waiting about half an hour for our food to come out and they didn't bring our milkshakes out until after and they were both warm by the time we received them.
The table next to us had dishes on it when we arrived and was only cleaned when our food arrived and by the time we were leaving there was 4 or 5 tables that still needed ro be cleared.
I think one of the weirdest things for me was the placement of the window. You'd think that in Secret Harbour you'd have the view be a priority because of how beautiful it is, but the window from the top floor is too high and too low to see out of while your sitting down
The last two times we have been there the coffee has been terrible and the food has been so bad that when you order poached eggs and they are solid. And the staff need some training on how to be friendly to customers or even look like they want to be there may help. Sorry but not going back.
Been here 3 times
Thought we’d give it a
“3rd time lucky visit ”
but walked out
Staffs nice
A bit lazy for the state of the restaurant
The worst thing about the
“Secret Harbour Dome”
is how untidy and dirty dishes not cleared away tables needing wiped down,
It was soooooo bad we walked out,
Well I walked out, thought my partner was behind me but noticed he’d stayed behind to say something to them
We live in Port Kennedy and went out of our way “hoping”
the 3rd time would not be as disappointing as the last 2 visits
We usually spend around $100 between both of us when we go to Dome restaurants
Always go with family and friend when they visit from the UK
We never give out bad reviews but it’s time people started leaving them so they will up their game
We ended up going to the Dome in Waikiki
“What a difference, 5 for them”
Great service and food, I just hope the gluten free toast was toasted separately but the poached eggs and bacon were very nice.
Great service, food is always exceptional cant fault them love a good coffee thnaks Dome Secret Harbour
Great place for a relaxing drink and light lunch. Happy, friendly and customer focused staff. Quick service.
Reece, Maxine and the team are amazing. They always go ‘the extra mile’ and I love seeing them on a daily basis. It’s the ‘little things’ that really count!
More than happy to recommend Dôme Secret Harbour to anyone!
