They robbed me of $100, claiming i changed my test time, when in fact i did not as i sent photo proof to my instructor, the receptionist lady (who could barely read a list) said "it says you changed it on our systems" i then said "that cant be possible why would i bother to change it for 2hrs earlier on the same day. She then began to get an attitude and say "Well it says you did on our system" dont bother going here if you dont wanna be robbed <3

Ridiculous that you cannot do manual licence with a car unless it has old fashioned hand brake! Electronic hand brake is normal now!

Staff is very rude from reception to the counter don't like to explain the process just take the money and leave you with attitude

Very bad experience at DOT Rockignham. Staff are rude and supervisor rejected my application due to the order of my name is not what they expected. I have no problem applying my visa with my name and they asked me to go to the bank & rental agent to change my name and insisted my middle name is my last name just to meet their expectation which i think it's totally not right. Extremely frustrating!

As a minimun standard the department of transport should be open on weekends. Until then I rate one star.

Dreadful, disgraceful! A lot of chatter of promises in the background as you hang on for ages and make your way through an obstacle course of options. One wonders why you have to pay rates for a service like this!

Terrible assessors watch out for assessor #143 angry old guy who will look for any reason to fail you, This place is a joke they purposely fail people to get more money.

Went here for a PDA and failed. The instructor was a lot better than few other department of transport. George was the best instructor I hv took my exam with so far she explained well and does give fair markings

Cheryl (Acting Supervisor.) i had private plates which had a mark on them marking it hard to read the WA on the plates. Cheryl decided this couldnt be removed with a cloth and water so instructed me that i would have to buy brand new plates at a cost of around $260. I asked can i please remove the texter mark and her response was just no you cant. Cheryl if the situation was reversed how would you feel? Being a acting supervisor doesnt make you God. I would also suggest you park your car away from the front of the office so visitors can use the parking bays and not staff.

Rude staff and wrong information. Rockingham DoT closes well before 4pm, even though the hours listed on the website and all other recourses state 4: 30PM this is wrong. Staff are unwilling to assist if you rock up at 4: 00pm and treat you like scum

Why is it so difficult to book a PDA at Rockingham, apparently there are 5 assessors but no appointments, if you look up other areas they have places but Rockingham will only put up 4 or 5 appts every now and again, which are months away, i understand it is a live system and we have just had covid 19 but surely they could do more to help with a back log, we were there not so long ago and only 1 person was sitting their PDA, people are crying out for appointments to sit there license at Rockingham, think it is about time someone with some authority has a look at the booking procedures and ways to rectify it.

Completed my PDA with a younger male instructor. He was so calming and out of the 7 PDA’s I’ve had in Rockingham and Mandurah I’ve never felt so at ease. Highly recommend going to Rockingham instead Of Mandurah! Such a great instructor.

Attended RTA Office in Rockingham twice today. Great help and advice from ALL THREE staff members we talked with.

The woman who served me was very rude and abrupt. The original documentation I presented was unacceptable apparently. I Was spoken to like I was an idiot when I asked for clarification. Went to Cockburn DOT and they couldn't see the issue and everything was sorted out. I'll stick with them.

I read the reviews and doubted them, but they were right. The customer service was terrible, the people were extremely rude. I’m glad I got my permit however. Hopefully service improves for the future

The greeting 'help' staff were incredibly abrupt and condescending. I just asked a question and was spoken to as if I was an uneducated child. I don't care if it's 4pm and you wanna go home it's your job. At least pretend to 'help' the people who ask for it.
Told my driver's license was 'well within' the ten days for delivery but the paperwork was put in 13 days ago. Just unhelpful, and although I was frustrated with the fact I had no primary ID as my old license was confiscated 13 days ago you don't need to interrupt me and act as if this is the law. Literally never had to surrender my old license for THIS EXACT REASON!

The feedback is appalling. They really need to make better note of when drivers make errors because it seems like they’re just making up any errors when hey don’t provide sufficient information about what I did wrong.peter has been condescending and rude due to my age on 2 occasions now and they clearly do not know what they are talking about. I was sent away for a red light appearing on the dash, which was a perfectly normal light and after the car was serviced we were told was ordinary. Completed test in same car while light was on a month later.

Clearly taking advantage of young people for their revenue raising scheme. My partner turned up for the appointment 15 minutes early after confirming the appointment time on multiple occasions, they tell her she is 25 minutes late and will have to pay again. We then ask for proof of the appointment which they refused to provide. We asked for a record of print of confirmation letter and they refused to provide that. The supervisor offered to get us these documents but was slapped down by her manager both of which seem too incoherent to understand privacy laws and the freedom of information act. Rockingham is specifically known for pulling these stunts hence all the terrible reviews and now they've taken advantage of a young woman experiencing hardships without their help.

For all those seeking to get their licenses, DO NOT GO HERE. They literally seek to raise revenue for the government while they sit cushie in a $50,000 car and 2 houses looking down on you like you're scum.
