I passed the PDA in the first trial.
The assessor is very clear in his instructions.

Let's be honest here: none of them are really that great, but this one's always pretty quick and the staff are nice.

Had the worst experiences here mainly due to lack of knowledgeable staffs.

My personal horrible experience was with Tracy the supervisor in this department. Not only was she not knowledgable with her job, she was unhelpful, uncultured, racist, provided no solutions and gave me a horribly wrong piece of advice that might cost my identity here. She was unapologetic for the mess she’d created as this would not have happened if she knew how to do her job properly.

In the end, I managed to get the right information from DoT’s online customer service and a few other people in similar situations and they directed me into getting the right documents to process my license. So there’s always a way.

I was asked to not live in Australia if I insist on using my legal name here because in Australia, I’m known as a different name. No logic was used despite the mountains of supporting documents I have provided. No one could connect the dots that maybe different countries have a different way of naming people and not everyone falls under your standard western Given name Family name format.

COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! I SUFFER FROM DIABETES AND WAS GIVEN A SHRUG OF THE SHOULDERS WHEN I ASKED WHY.

I passed my test here today (June 8,2023) on the first try! The assessor was approachable and very clear in his instruction. He also provided detailed feedback in a friendly and sensitive manner. The other staff were also very pleasant.

Sat waiting, watching people come and go. When enquired about wait given a new number and continued to sit wait and watch. Only plus heater kept me warm.

Their appears to be a process in place that denies driving test customers the simple test of ARE THEY A SAFE DRIVER AND NOT A DANGER TO OTHER ROAD USERS DENIAL, their is this nit picking process that encompasses the person's traits ie your actions are too slow etc etc, your windscreen is dirty, never about being unsafe, everyone's learning and doing to best they under stressful circumstances yet this system nit picks the way you change gears etc etc, an unbelievable and shocking approach, suspect it's all about money typical Govt run outfit not road safety

More organised. Please take a mobile to occupy yourself while there is a wait. Depending on the day of the week. Avoid Mon/Fri.

They gave me the wrong information in the phone and told me to come into the centre to apply for my concession. When I was waiting in the centre I had to turn down a shift at work because I was waiting to there and then when I get to the counter they say I'm not entitled to the concession. Cost me $130 that trip. So angry

I had to print a ticket and wait for almost 40 minutes to hand in number plates for two cars which had been sold to a wrecker. If you can have a ticketing system for appointments, then you could easily automate this process and improve your terrible wait times.

Although I had failed my pda, John was very calm and patient with me throughout the test and explained what I had done wrong and how I could improve next time around.

Awful. Assessors are awesome but other staff are! I passed a manual test with my own manual car 2 weeks ago, but they sent me a C-A licence today? I could drive my own car until today but with this new licence I can't drive my own car anymore! Unbelievable.

I had several test in success they the assessor’s were horrible and failed me for stupid things but in Rockingham the assessor was nice clear and very calming would recommend doing a test here

People in the department of transport did not help me to get my driving test booking even after I explained to them that I was not being able to do it online because their system was not letting me log in, turns out they were unable to find the issue with my login details, I had to go to a different dot to get that sorted out in less than 5 minutes.

This place is full of racism. I found them looking at our face and decide what to do next. Does not matter how good you are in your driving test. The only thing matters is your skin colour.

The customer service is pathetic, I went there on the 28 February 2022, to apply for a vehicle refund, the woman that served me did not even lodge my application form, to make it even worse she gave me the wrong information on refund processing times. I had to call the department of transport 4 weeks later, only to be told nothing was lodged.im currently seeking legal advice regarding this woman and the store. I would not recommend anyone to visit this store.

Even after writing a review, they never assessed what was wrong, and just quickly wrote me a $59 cheque to shut me up.

Passed my PDA here for manual licence yesterday with assessor no. 143, found him to be very friendly and put me at ease so I could drive well despite being nervous beforehand. He was easy to talk to, clear with instructions and provided timely helpful feedback after the test. It is 4 stars because tests are getting cancelled due to Covid and the system for booking another is tedious and needs improvement and more slots.

The service is appalling and the people are so rude, as well as racist. They seem to think they are too important to listen or help, and we are lesser than them.

The one female pda instructor is horrible.i have heard many things about her and never believed it until i experienced it myself.a very cold person, rude and doesn’t care for first time drivers that are nervous especially youth.definitely will not be coming back
