Went to transfer my overseas driving licence on a Wednesday around 3: 45pm. I didn't wait more than 10min after getting a ticket and it was done in less than 40min! Didn't need a certified NAATI translation of my overseas driving licence which save me around 80$:)
100% recommend this place for this service (don't know about the other services)

Always smooth transaction here.
Did my PDA recently here and Shelley was excellent in doing the assessment with me. Scared due to the reviews i read here but glad to had the best experience with her, very calm and explained to me what could be improve and what was good.

Went to get my Overseas Drivers Lisence converted to Australian. Very helpful assisted me with everything. And got it done premises very clean, air-conditioned and just a pleasure. Will recommend it.

WORST system ever. I been here twice for my motorbike PDA tests with 2 different assessor’s. One said my head check is ok, the other one said is wrong. One said my slow turn is good, whilst the other one said too fast… They don’t have their unified standard to judge the test. They should make up their own standards of PDA before asking someone to follow theirs. Wasted my time and my money here.

Come to this place to see a prime example of where tax payers money doesn't go. Run down, under staffed and a terrible experience all round, felt like I was in a third world country.

These guys are the absolute WORST! Please don't come here for your driving test it's not worth it. I repeat it is NOT WORTH IT. They charge 90 dollars for a test and fail people CONSTANTLY. Please don't come here! If you want to get your license go somewhere else! I wish I could give this place 0 stars because they just do not care about you no matter how much they claim to. Don't come here.

I had to transfer a interstate boat and trailer (separately). From the moment I walked in the doors a really friendly, helpful lady pointed me in the right direction regarding which ticket (s) I needed. I then had a 5 minute wait and was processed by Colleen. She really went above and beyond - I can't speak highly enough about her friendly, professional and prompt service. Thank you so much Colleen!

Had a very helpful and friendly staff member on the counter afain today. Despite this place having to manage wait times and disgruntled members of the public I have always had lovely efficent staff. Thankyou.

Went to pick up some plates. Checked website first to see if open during lock down. It was. Pulled up outside and was yelled at from across the road. A very rude young man stood in the doorway of licencing building telling us we couldn't get our plates. Was ok to come back another time due to lockdown! However was not ok to be spoken to so unprofessionally. Absolutely no people skills. Felt extremely deflated.

since the last few experiences. Today The lady Helping me over the counter Named Angela most amazing human being. She went above and beyond to Help me With a difficult task that needs few day to complete. Thanks Angela Keep uo the good work

It’s a government facility, what more to expect? It’s run down, you gotta wait a long time on seats that smell like body odour. Most of the staff are rude and arrogant and treat you with little respect. Avoid this place if you can, but they’re mostly all going to be the same.

Went for my re class licence today with Richard would recommend to anyone marks fairly and calmly gives clear instructions that allowed a nervous test taker like me to calm down and get through my test

Changed my home address without my permission to an address that has NO POSTAL Service and has never had one - ever as it is Rural! - then posted renewal notices to the non existent address, then fined me for not paying! Shocking if a private company tried to treat customers like this they would not be in business!

I needed to complete some vehicle registrations and transfers. I thought I had completed all the correct forms, but I was wrong.
Judy behind the counter was nothing short of amazing. Rather than sending me off to get it right by myself, she guided me through every step and and made sure all my transactions we completed so I didn’t have to go away and come back. She really knew what she was doing and was extremely patient.
I’ve had some pretty average dealings here in years gone by, but today has just made up for all of those.
All the other staff seemed happy and willing to help people either side of me. A very good experience all round.

I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised with my visit. I'd rudely answered a call just as I entered, but as there was a queue, didn't want to delay getting myself a ticket. The reception lady was assisting people to choose the right tickets, and didn't show a hint of annoyance that I was talking on the phone. The wait to be served was brief, just long enough for me to fill in my form. The reception lady again happily checked my form for me and my ID documents, to make sure I had all I needed. Once I arrived at the counter, I was greeted by a genuinely friendly man who didn't seem like he hated being there. He was helpful, pleasant and efficient. In this day and age, it's surprising to still need so much paperwork for processes like transferring an interstate licence, but you can't complain when it's as pain free as a visit to this centre.

It's the department of transport, what can you really say? Unless you've just passed your driving test it's not going to be that pleasurable. But the wait times aren't too bad, considering the amount of people.

My ticket was never called and I needed to get another for it to even register on the monitors which constantly flicker between 720p resolution, going blank, then back to 1080p. Its like the place is run by monkeys. I have free time today so I can't imagine how someone who is busy would feel about their ticket being totally missed. Poorly organised and needs work

Prepared to wait along time, though I didn't have to wait to long at all. Person behind the counter helped me with out any drama's at all. Completely satisfied with the service and the outcome. Well done Joondalup.

I wanted to change my licence from victoria to WA. When I went to the centre at Joondalup a lovely lady called Judy dealt with my paperwork and informed me I had an outstanding fine from 2015 which meant I couldn’t be issued with a WA licence until I cleared the debt. I had no idea what the fine was for but discovered the next day it was for unreturned WA plates when I changed them in Victoria. I had returned them. It cost me $204 which I knew if I didn’t pay I wouldn’t be allowed to drive. I received a call from Judy this morning to say the WA plates had been found, a refund would be issued. If it wasn’t for Judy doing the extra work I would have been $204 out of pocket for something I hadn’t done. Please recognise this lady’s care and thought, Thank you Judy you’re a legend!
