Convinced that people leaving the negative reviews would consider twice if they had ever experienced the pure rage that is concomitant with dealing with the DOT in QLD. QLD should be taking notes, the staff here always so helpful and willing to go the extra step to assist you.

Went to change plates over on a Saturday at Jondalup Licencing centre, they said we don't do this any more and only place you can do this is at Mirribooka and Cannington on a week day because they don't open on the weekend! Totally ridiculous when people work during the week!

Lot of space there, sadly a lot of people too so I had to wait a while WA.
Greeting and information at the entrance was perfect and the one behind the counter too.

Not impressed, after two visits to Butler, phone calls and emails. I arrive with what's requested and still not accepting my documents. Not considerate of my time and effort. Just a simple read through the first document it would have spared a trip to West Perth and allot of time, after I've shared it multiple times. Clearly don't want to help and don't really know what's needed.

I did my Practical driving assessment here and the person was and absolute gem. Assessor was very calm and cool and kind. Definitely recommend doing your assessment there. Just be sure to state what you are doing to the assessor always no matter what you are doing (eg. “looking at blind spot, look for pedestrians” etc) Slow down in areas where there are pedestrians. The staff are always very happy and joyful too.

So disappointing went in today and had to wait for over 2 hours to be called to the desk and had to sit on the floor as there was not even any seats

Cannot book a driving test. NO locations in WA have availability. Absolutely ridiculous. How do you even book a test if there are no sessions!? !? !? Instructors in the past booked all the sessions but that was stopped so why is there still no sessions? RIDICULOUS
How the heck are you supposed to get your licence!?
Add more sessions.

Worst place to get a conversion of international driving license if granted PR offshore. They take the 3 months from the grant date and not 3 months from the arrival date. There website clearly states 3 months from the arrival date in Australia. The supervisor there was not helpful at all!

We needed to put a car in our name and change our interstate licence to WA. A huge thank you to Amanda for her knowledge and patience with us (seniors!). Amanda went out of her way to make our experience easy.

How am I supposed to go in and sort things when they aren't open on a Saturday? I work throughout the week, why should I have to take annual leave just to visit a government institution.

I have applied for my photo identification card on 1st november 2022 with my husband. They advised it will take 4 weeks due to delay. My husband received his card within 15 days after that my brother applied photo identification card on 6 december he received his card this friday but I did not receive it yet. I have called in transport office advising of it they advised will be delivered soon. But today i am trying to call transport office but they are declining my calls. One staff received call took all the info and declined my call. This is really bad service. I wanted to give half star but it wont let me in.

I have recently moved from Darwin to Perth & have had to visit Dept of Transport twice to get my license & registration changed from Northern Territory to WA. On both occasions, I have been blown away by the friendliness, professionalism & helpfulness of both the staff members that helped me out. They have totally changed my mind about government departments & public servants.

I have been trying for over 2 weeks trying to get on your dot direct account. I've paid my son's 3rd seating fee, but still can't get on the site. You say this site is easy to make a booking. I wish it was last time I had no problem.

My partner and I visited DOT today in order to reinstate my license this morning. I previously visited and was asked to complete a medical, which I completed today. Upon arriving, I was assigned to a desk where I spoke to a woman who simply told me I would have to wait a further 2 weeks until my license would be approved, and little to no further information was provided. I was shocked, and turned to leave until a man ushered me over to his desk. The man (Calvin) had been the same who assisted me before, and asked if I was returning in regards to the same situation. After explaining what we had just been told, he promptly called through to a department in order to hasten the process. Calvin was so calm, reassuring and kind throughout the process, and went above and beyond to help us until my license was approved. He clarified multiple details to make sure we understood every piece of information that was being provided to us. So instead of returning home and waiting up to two weeks, my license was approved in minutes! I couldn’t thank Calvin enough for taking the time out of his day to help, while also assisting other people. For this, I’d give him 5 stars! My rating of four just goes to say that I can only hope that many others within DOT follow his benevolent service, and not cut corners like what would have happened if he had not pulled us aside.

Terrible service. Meant to send change of address stickers, 4 weeks have passed and no stickers have arrived however they remember to send registration forms to the new address. So I ring up about the stickers and wait on hold for half an hour for them to hang up on me before I get through to someone? Now have to wait on hold again. It’s wasting my time. While I’m here I’ll also add that they failed me 7 times before even getting licence, all for different weird reasons. But whilst they’re failing you they’re telling people next to you that they speed too much but they passed? There’s a reason they have the lowest rate of people passing the driving tests here.

If I hadn’t been wrong counter, I would rate it over 5 stars. I have been Rockingham and Mandurah Department of Transport before.
Joondalup was good experience. However my mistake, I went to the wrong counter around 11: 25-11: 30 pm at counter 3 (maybe not 3) on 26 April 2020. Face to the counter, my right side was door and ticket machine. A lady likes to stand with her arms folded who golden hair to shoulder, she said something to us. I can not hear because I busy to found out my ticket. She was very bad and rude, very unfriendly to us. We can remember her dirty look. I ever had, especially in Australia that was unbelievable.

A next counter staff shake her hand let us been there, I thought she saw the lady behaviour. The girl who was so nice, helpful and patient. If I would rate over 5 stars I would rate it. We were so luck she served us. We appreciate her. Thank you!
